That is crazy! I hope that at some point, a TAS that goes through the whole game (not just going to the final boss with the Call of the Emperor) will be made, using this. I also hope more RTA runners will do something like this.

It really is a shame the project was abandoned. I can understand why with the whole kernel thing, but I don't have Linux, and I don't know a thing about virtual machines or anything like that. I wanted to make a TAS of a few Windows games without crashes or anything like that. Hourglass R81 is giving me a lot of crashes for IWbtG, and I really wanted to make a TAS of A Blind Legend. This is disappointing to say the least. I understand this is from a while back, but I was looking into downloading something better than R81, for Windows, but I just don't know what to do anymore.

For the first part, this one is relevant, too. They ask where the princess is, so that's relevant. You still fight a final boss with this ending, too.
For the second part, you have to go fast for the bad ending in this game, too. It takes time to save mudokons in Oddworld, like it does to pick up keys in Extra Mario Bros.
Third, I have figured that out after all the publications of the Oddworld games, and I find the idea similar here.
Finally, I find it worthy of comparison for a few reasons:
1. In the Oddworld games, you save mudokons to get the good ending. In this game, you pick up all the keys to get the good ending.
2. In Abe's Oddysee, saving all 99 mudokons gives you bonus features. It's the same as this game: you get upgrades here, too.
3. It's faster to get the bad ending in both games.
4. The story is more or less the same: go through the areas/stages, do what you need to do.

This is similar to the Oddworld games. First, Extra Mario Bros and Abe games have good and bad endings; second, Abe's Oddysee and this Mario hack give bonus features for the good ending, and third... you keep whoever you saved in the Abe games, like you do with this one.
If Oddworld's bad endings are publishable, why can't this be?

I actually didn't realize. I thought it was different than an any% run. It seemed to me like it was just one pokémon to defeat for the TAS to be over, but I didn't realize that was the whole game. Sorry for my lack of knowledge for this game.

While I feel like a lot of work was put into this, I believe the goal is too arbitrary. It doesn't actually beat the game, it only defeats a pokémon as the goal. No vote from me.
