Wow so competitive players here it will be harder. My votes goes to Hetfield, Samsara and Arandom, don't get me wrong but I enjoyed a lot the runs made by many of authors which are on the poll. @BrunoVisnadi: for me the question here aren't the quantify question and more for game choice and entertainment qualify, occurred the same when x2poet win as TASer of year 5 years ago doing Metal Slug series so it isn't surprise that Hetfield are winning atm.

Yesterday I released my first playthrough in this game, I saw the TAS on the site so I give a try and I would like to share my result: Link to video A good details about this game are the graphics, environment and what I like most in Fighting Games, all characters seems good to TASing having balanced combos and speed, the fights are quick, the game don't have a lot of glitches/bugs (only some paralyze characters, no contest glitch, conclusion and time over glitches).

I don't suggest to choose hardest difficult, me and Cretino did a test-run until Sodom's boss fight and we got about 567 frames of improvements, but when you fight the bosses you will lost a lot of frames. As example: me and CRetino got about 560+ frames until Sodom playing by hardest difficult, after defeated Sodom we lost about 500 frames, leaving to our just 67. The reason are obviously, yeah we did the test with Guy and Cody and same if we don't used lua scripts or ram adresses we know how are the best method to kill they and the result is Haggar can improve about 15 frames than Guy, but something we saw about that difference between hardest and normal are the enemies HP didn't change, what really changed was the invulnerability from punches and kicks by the normal enemies, this invulnerability increases when you are fighting a boss, so I got this result as an example, you told if you try a run on hardest we will lost few frames but to be honest we can improve the currently normal run by a new hardest, for me doesn't make sense do a run to just see high HPs this isn't bring any entertainment to the run and to who watch. So my suggestion is this, sadly I guess we lost the test-run and you are wrong you can improve a lot of the currently run same if you are going to hardest run you improved 121 if I remember you can do better with Guy, we got about 560 frames until Sodom, but you will lost all these frames when fight the next bosses. I hope you understand and another tip: Haggar isn't the best char if you gonna to bring your run more fast just as update: I discovered some new features which can improve the currently run a lot using Guy. *Edit: You said the differences between hardest to normal will be few, I'm opposite about this argument, I'm saying this because I'm working on this game as normal run and 20secs+ of improvement already was did, a good notation about both difficult differences are the enemies, when you are going to hardest run all enemies appear more faster instead of normal which the enemies appear more after comparing with hardest so I saw my run at first stage and really we lost frames by this difference, my future expectations are about 30/33secs improvement to the currently run. A lot of difference comparing with the currently run no? But don't give up, we can compare my run with your to see about these differences I didn't tested a lot of differences using Haggar cuz the new tricks got many frames as improvement and I got a lot of luck manipulations better than when I tried with Haggar.

Well, it's better than the older, you're getting the point. So, as you're going to a playaround I need to say somethings which would help while TASing and I will be heavily putting my arguments here. First off: You know how to redo the fbm right? (just mark off the ready only box when set the playback) I've been seeing your movies and the recordings are too slow for a good TAS, are you doing it in one day? Sorry because you are getting better but a TAS don't be made in a day, example: me, I bring one TAS to my channel week by week, sometimes I need to delay because I didn't finished yet. So don't worry to delay it, try to bring new combos, glitches you're going to a playaround which needs a lot of patience to bring new additions so be patient, make some fights more slow you don't need to do your movie only in one day most of playarounds already published here took the authors 1/2 months to finish. Second: I think you didn't understood my point talking about frame-advancing and game choice. Again the run seems you didn't used it right, you can skip these copyright, vs. screen by pressing kicks and punches frame by frame, another point are still the game choice I'm not an expert on SF3 series but I don't know if 2nd will be more interesting than 3S why? 3S have more characters, glitches and combos but it's your choice I'm just suggesting because some rejects from here are for bad game choice comparing with similar game version. Third: You are trying to bring a long playaround, however my opinion are opposite, long playarounds makes the people bored depending on the game choice while watching, yeah all playarounds on the site have long times: 19/20 minutes or more, but don't try to bring all characters it will make the fights drag out. Add only the best fighters of this game as Yun, Ken, Gouki, Ryu, Urien, Necro, etc. Also try to bring glitches with these characters, new combos I watched this playaround and I only saw corner combos, seriously sometimes I feel bored only seeing corner combos, bring characters which makes mid/full-screen combos this game have a lot of potential to it. Fourth (last): I know you're using frame-advanced, but I have to be honest.. Sometimes you (forsake) one of your fighters, in a playaround it don't make sense the point here are bring matches more crazier than online matches, adding combos and glitches, so while TASing try to move your fighters all the time, the taunt parts are good but sometimes it drag the fight doing taunts to exposed that character it don't sounds good. I guess I talk all I needed, so try these tips, get more movimentation between both characters, try to bring the best characters and not all because sometimes all characters don't entertain all in playarounds, bring glitches, new combo variations as I mentioned: mid and full-screen combos. Abuse more about hitbox kicking the back of characters, doing more defensives (blocking) it is a good addition arround the playaround, try to pass through the projectiles as hadoukens with some dragon punches or using throws and of course try to understand more the function of frame advancing skiping the mentioned parts are these basics tips which makes your movie more interesting to watch.

Understood now and Thanks. I know that 2nd Impact have some differences between 3S, but my question was about the choice to present here? Because 3S have more sense to bring instead of 2nd since 3S already have more glitches, combos and impressive matches stuffs. To get a publication here if you're trying, let's attempt the best version choice to TASing I see some extensive differences between 3S to 2nd comparing with my arguments on glitches, combos questions, if you have more glitches, combos, 2p matches and some others in a game your opportunities to get an publication increase because Fighting games needs to bring entertainment value which are too opposite from speed on time-attacks. (I'm not saying speeding tases don't have entertainment values i'm just saying about try new updates which will makes all entertained while watching all the time and not focusing only on beating fast time possible/glitching abusing).

Hum... this run seems better than the older one. Question: Why did you choose 2nd impact if you are planning to submit a run here? If you want to try something I guess SF3 3rd Strike looks like more entertainment and better than 2nd impact. You told used frame-advanced but I think you didn't know how use to your favour, let's start using some observations. In all mainly screens after you setup the game to hardest difficult after f2 sets you can skip the game and copyright screens using punches or kicks just press it in right frame, the same rule about inserting coin but using coin you need to press and hold 2 frames 5 or 6 keyboard keys to insert a coin. Same rules to all vs. screens you don't need to wait these screens vanishes if you can skip them while you're doing a time-attack. About your run: So, this sounds better than the older as I told, but did you understand how the combo system of SF3 series works? Well maybe I'm not the properly user to talk much because I played these SF3 games just for little times. But looking for some combo-videos and mainly some TASvideos on Youtube I saw a lot of juggle combos, maybe are the mainly "secret" to make combos in this game, I tested somethings and really works. These are my tips. If you want to know about how to work better in SF3 series I suggest this channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AlexxShadenk777 See some videos he has many TAS matches, TAS gameplays and some updates, try to talk with him to know about glitches maybe it would help.

Oh that's my fault I really forgot this. Counter hit always takes more damage from enemies, thanks Tangent. I'm playing SVC chaos lately and I remind about counter hits.

Nice. Is this some kind of crazy glitch, or does this character really allows KO in one hit?
I don't like much Tekken but I played some years ago in my PS2. All I remember it isn't a glitch it a special move from Yoshimitsu whose "suicide" you and the enemy but it's really hilarious move because the move take more damage from the enemy instead of Yoshimitsu causing a stant kill on enemy. I don't know how it works anymore when I tested the moves on PS2 Yoshimitsu receives the same damage or i'm wrong I didn't play this game more and don't know how works in PSX versions (correct-me if i'm wrong). BTW, I don't like speed FG TAS but Tekken really impress, yes vote.

Link to video Some new stuff using the old characters, Guile champion edition is good than Guile SuperT. Sonic booms and can be done around 4 times abusing the power of frame-advanced.

@xxNKxx Don't worry. About the other TAS that I said I'm not judging the authors on the contrary, he are excellent players on the site but maybe idk if don't has much informations about the combos or some crazy glitches and all know playaround categories needs all about the game and in my view point that TASes mentioned didn't put a lot of playaround needs. *Again I didn't despising the authors or saying that he didn't work hard I don't blame them, but it's unfair uses all these arguments in my submission and in others didn't, in other just accept and is this. It is really a stab in the heart you adding a lot things found in internet or by yourself put in your TAS, get the publication and see a other TAS with the same category being published as an good enterteinment value without really be much entertainment, if google about the glitches or the combos of the game choosed you will see a lot of glitches or combos that could be added and same the submission was acepted only because didn't come a guy who didn't show arguments about improvements on the TAS. I know that Fighting Games are really very hard to TASing see this I tripped and didn't see what I forgot and I already have been working on variables fighting games TASing for an few years. I'm happy when people like you come and show feedback as the video showed, if in all submission of this category was like this I would stay more happy. Pass the time and the things continues the same, the old arguments was because people don't know how to judge a fighting game by fastest time or entertainment. Pass the time and concluded additions as gltiches, combos, 2 players are more convience to watch, but sometimes for me this idea just disappear around my eyes. I don't enter in details as I said because I know this will continue same if are 1,2,3 didn't matter how much movies are. It's what appear at myself. And thanks for your comment I'm happy with all the experience my mind will continue with this thought, I will work more on this but I won't promise that my next work I will try to load here btw my works didn't boil down on this site, but I will continue in this forum. And sorry for the long sentences and paragraphs.

@Raelcun Thanks for your opinion maybe I forgot about somethings and I also know how the hitboxes works :D The fireballs suggestion it's hilarioys addition which I missed sometimes and about if I'm happy working in this game? Of course I believed that all games have your bright star same if don't have: great graphics, combos, glitches, and others. @Warp If you see other playarounds in the site you will see several times taking damage to make a glitch or a combo, this movie isn't an exception. @xxNKxx Sorry these combos (the great most) are did in Sodom using Tengu Walk glitch, so it's literally impossible to make in other characters, I worked with all the cast in this game and you only can add these combos against Sodom. Now my conclusion: before canceling is time to my words, I see that most people used the same arguments about this movie well.. maybe the Dan's addition are really bad, the balanced combos isn't impress much, I'm happy because I see this in movie which is motivating me to another try. MY demotivation: Isn't I who judge if this is good or not at all, but what really makes me sad are still some normal plays still continue being published here (I'm not referring about Vault) some categories which are "playaround" be accepted normally and only in my movie receive these criticisms and the others already published doesn't has these opinions, I won't enter in details of what movies are or my opinion about that, cause maybe I get an possible ban saying about. Well maybe I try to make another playaround maybe not idk, I said that this isn't demotivate-me to make more playarounds, what really demotivates are try submitting here and looking you receiving variable opinions and other less enterteinment playing receiving as good feedback whereas in fact it isn't so. Cancelling it by the opinions.

I'm not sure I fully agree with the goal of this TAS. In a fighting game it's, of course, very heavily a question of opinion whether the player (who ought to be an absolutely perfect god-like being, in terms of gameplay) should get a "perfect" end result in each round or not. When the player does not, it reeks of imperfection (even if it's completely intentional). I understand differing opinions, but I'm perhaps slightly leaned towards the side that in a TAS you should never get hit, and thus always get "perfect" in each round. After all, you are supposed to be a perfect player, so...
It depends in what term of "perfect" you are saying, if you are saying about CPU fights you are right, is ridiculous take damage with no reason, but if you take a intentional damage to make something for me the terms change, example you are saying vs CPU fights right? Dan vs Sodom? I need to take damage to make the 15 hit combo that generally the combo needs 2 players to do, but with the right position you can do this on CPU making a intentional hit. I understand your point about this, but think about TASes in the site (not fighting games) that have to die or take damage to pass more fastest possible or do a glitch, isn't the same? take damage or die to do a glitch or in that case a combo which supposedly needs 2 players to do. Well...is your opinion I wouldn't try to change your mind about.

I'm voting no, sorry. Most of the fights just weren't entertaining enough to hold my interest.
  • Sodom v Sodom: there were a few decent moments, but for a lot of it I didn't really get the feeling I was watching a tool-assisted superplay. There were a few decent combos (and the obligatory mirror match) but for large parts of it I got more the impression of two normal players duking it out than two superplayers.
  • Dan: Taunting after every combo or throw got boring real fast. The rest was fairly standard TAS action, nothing really spectacular.
  • Dan vs Sagat: Again didn't really feel very much like a superplay, there was just too much Sagat spamming specials (Tiger Shot and Tiger Knee in particular). If I want to see fireball wars, I'll just go watch a competitive SF4 Sagat/Guile/Juri match.
  • Chun-Li vs Guy: Finally some fast characters! This made it more interesting to watch than the previous matches, but other than one nice combo by Chun-Li with two supers, the combos didn't get beyond 6 hits. I didn't like some of the action at times, Guy taunting just to get hit and spamming supers looked really scrub-esque, which should not be in a TAS at all.
  • Rose vs Rose: The reflector gimmicks were nice, as was seeing some Custom Combo action at last. However, the double KO gimmick got really old after a few times and the match dragged on far too long.
  • Akuma: Definitely the best part of the run, although the Tatsu spamming got a little grating at times and by the midway point of the campaign Akuma's whole moveset has been shown already and the movie started dragging on. That said, there was a fair amount of good stuff in there, and it was decent overall, but it just took too long to get to this point.
Perhaps my expectations are a bit too high. Mortal Kombat has extensive glitches, Marvel vs. Capcom has infinite combos, even the already published Street Fighter Alpha series playarounds have Dramatic Battle for two-player action and V-ISM Custom Combo action. This movie is just lacking in comparison. Custom Combo was used only once as far as I remember. The rest was 'standard' Street Fighter gameplay, which just isn't enough to keep me entertained for 18 minutes. I'm certain that you put in a fair amount of work into this run, and I hope I won't discourage you from doing more playarounds (I know you have made some great MK playarounds) but this one isn't it for me. So I'm voting no.
No problem, I talked in the submission text this isn't a great Alpha game, but until even little things can become great. I understand your point about MvC, MK, and other generations at all, but these games are totally better in speed, graphics and some others you didn't expect this for this game. All what I'm learned with the time is this same if are a poor game you can take the most of him, compared this movie with MK, SF, MvC games are really poor because: you can't do a 99 hit, infinites or 100% combos, have less glitches, and the exit are the addition of the 2players, the dramatic in this game are a single fight that in z2a/a3 maybe is what made a great part of the runs cause you are free to choose what fighters will fight the CPU, sorry maybe I'm rude but for me a 100% or a long 99 hit combo makes me bored sometimes in a combo-video it's superb but in some parts in a playaround no in a playtrough too are an example but it's only my opinion. Well I submitted this knowing about the flak, because isn't a great game if look at the actual movies already published in the site and I will read all without any problems maybe is that why I submit this.

The movie had its moments... and some meh to it. The Rose vs Rose match was entertaining though. Akuma was more versatile then I recalled him in Alpha 1 though. You definitely added some nice entertainment value. [Alright, Dan didn't hurt either] This is just over enough for a Yes, but it was dicey in places. But still, enjoyed. Thanks for all your hard work on this. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
Oh thanks. Dan just want to make your revenge against Sagat :) (although Dan don't impress much in this version with your yahoo taunts)

Is it a glitched time here? Because the original time and the last input in emulator is 15:52. BTW same opnion for me ,don't need to change to the hardest difficult if the only thing will change are both health bars and enemies the only thing will change will be the long time to kill they for me this isn't the point to add entertainment.

feos: bellow I will explain again some differences of this game to your higher UMK3: -MK3 has no ninjas only new characters, ninjas can do easily a glitchfest/playaround better than new characters the effects are really strange but for me ninjas are better so this change all. -MK3 isn't the same game as UMK3.Here MK3 have a exclusive scenarios as: The Subway,The Street,The Bridge,The Bank,Soul Chamber,The Balcony,The Secret Portal (Smoke secret's) and some others. -Some characters in MK3 don't have the jungle combos to leave your enemy in air,Striker Gun special move are "blocked" in this 1st version as Kung lão Spinning Shield special move can't do infinite times in the corner (he are pushed back) so both characters can't do your infinite combos easily as UMK3 so leaving the combo system more difficult. -All know MK3 has some different glitches and effects bellow you see: *some screenshots by mksecrets.net and others of my TAS. (A example what Smoke can do with your effects) (some examples how the effects of Sheeva are funny here. Have a lot of different glitches and exploits but I showed in the playaround it's just a example. The only thing that are similar are the run and combo system that are incremented in this game first nothing else. Now my opinion about Glitchfest and Playaround is all of you guys, both categories go to entertainment but for me Glitchfest a entertainment for glitches already Playaround for less glitches and show the game's ability with little bit.
