Oh wow, that was ... different. I'm not sure if I think it should be published or not, but it sure as hell entertained. Yes vote.

Sound is changed because mono sucks. And game C has to slowly scroll up to the top after being selected.

Btw, does the powerbomb shockwave expand faster than spaceboosting?
Well as demonstrated sometime right after leaving the mothership, the shockwave expands about at the speed of a shinespark(192), which is faster than speed boosting(160).

I see the two items I never found when playing this, I think. One was around 185500...there's a graphic glitch where Samus rewraps the screen. Any idea why this happen?
Probably due to do shinesparking through one of them zones that don't start scrolling until you reach the very edge.

I'm in the middle of watching this, and I just noticed that at one point you take the elevator down to ridley's lair, then immediately go up again. Why is this?
What pj said, the giant fly boss thing won't appear until I've been down in Ridley someway. It would probably look less forced if I did the boss on the way back out but I needed the supers I got from him.

Ok, I remember being puzzled by this during the other runs I've seen of this as well, and I've somehow forgotten to ask every time... Do we know why the spider throw works? I mean it's not that hard to figure out how it works (activating the spider ball anytime the morph ball is moving upwards and to the left gives the ball a considerable amount of horizontal velocity). But why does that happen? Is it related to RAM addresses in some way? And why only to the left?

Harry's parents die in 1981 (as seen on their Tombstone). Harry was one year old at the time iirc. He's seventeen during the course of the 7th book so... 1997?

They only increase speed up to 10 IIRC. On the run itself: I love this game, and it was awesome to see the levels going by at such a fast pace. It did get a bit repetitive though, having to do each level three times. Even though the coin collection offered some minor route changing it wasn't really enough to make the level seem different. But I had fun watching it anyhow :D. Yes vote.

Oh excellent, this is one of my favorite games ever and I've been trying to watch it since it was submitted but couldn't get it to sync up, but for some mysterious reason it worked now so I got to watch it. Excellent run, really. Very well-made and entertaining. Surprised me quite a bit at times, Kreepy Krow and Castle Crush to name a few. Would've voted yes if it weren't already published.

Now there's a little advice I may give you and every ZM TASer, and it's quite useless but hey, I wonder why nobody thought about it. Actually you should have started the game in the slot A, not C, because when you choose the slot C, it takes too much time to move to the upper part of the screen.
Oh yeah, haha, that's right actually. Well since I aim for ingame time it didn't make a difference, but I'll be sure to keep it in mind.

You need Hi-jump to spark in ball form.

Then you have the wrong rom. I'm not incredibly keen on the name codes, but I think you might have the European version of the game. You need the American version.

<PJBoy> Dragonfangs, you should make a post at the M0M topic at TASVideos now that you're doing this I've started an any% using the Kraid first route. That is all.

And because PJ is lazy and just posting links, I'll go and explain it in text, just in case someone can't watch the videos >_>. Yes, the diffusion missiles can be "skipped", but right at the next Adam conversation there is a "secret" message, though thanks to the internet, not so secret >_>. After the message you can't continue out to the elevator, so you have to go back and get the missile upgrade and talk to Adam again before he'll let you out. If the diff. missiles were indeed skippable, the secret message route out of AQA would most definitely be faster than the normal route, it's only 4-5 seconds slower right now.

Also, it's a bit late to ask, but did you try entering Mega-X's room on another frame?
Yeah I did, luck manipulation didn't change its behavior in any way.

And yet another WIP http://dragonfangs.paragonsigma.com/DF-MetroidFusion0p.zip (love how I keep reposting the link when it's on this page 3 times already P) Includes a save were we left off, as usual. PJ managed to kill Mega-X like a second faster than me, but I think (readhope) that's only possible on hard mode, since I couldn't make it behave as aggressively as it does in PJ's movie.

Hard to tell atm, frost ended on a pretty high 42 iirc. But who knows? 40 does seem likely right now though.

New WIP for you guys: http://dragonfangs.paragonsigma.com/DF-MetroidFusion0p.zip Includes a save at the start of AQA. And GODDAMNIT I'm working slowly on this thing. Well it's better than rushing it *shrug*. Updates should be coming more often from now on though.

Heh, yeah... moozoh convinced me that this was really stupid, so I changed it >_>.

WIP time! Sorry for being so slow guys, but my motivation hasn't really been on top for this thing. Anyway, I just finished up TRO, enjoy: http://dragonfangs.paragonsigma.com/DF-MetroidFusion0p.zip You might notice that I do a seemingly retarded jump after the SA-X. That actually makes the next room load faster as the camera doesn't move down as much when you're higher up. And yes, it loads faster enough to make the jump worth it. EDIT: Oh, and the download was being funky for me, downloading wrong stuff and such. Just let me know if this is an actual problem and I'll fix it.
