Well, I mean, it's your choice. I'm just saying that if you take some time into learning another language such as java or C++, it will make your life much easier when programming.

I may not get a "good" reaction for this, but... here goes anyway.
Please stop using javascript. It is literally one of the worst programming languages out there that was not designed to do anything but basic scripting.
Here's a link ta a tutorial with C++. Very easy to get started.
Deblinking here refers to the process of taking a 60 fps input and translating it into a 30 fps video output where transparency or blinking is preserved. Otherwise, since blinking typically means alternating between full opacity and completely invisible every other frame, the result is that, taking metroid as an example, either samus isn't blinking at all or can't be seen.
Remember that unless viewing with a 60 fps capable browser, you will see the result as a 30 fps video. I believe youtube just throws away half the frames, resulting in this ugly behavior. Deblinking is supposed to fix this so that youtube does not have to change the fps.
Clearly you do not understand the difference between an opinion and telling someone to do it or doing it.
It is my opinion. My view. That does not mean others needs to agree. Feel free to disagree if you want.
I am not a TASer. I am not a speedrunner. I wouldn't want to take on the challenge of making a 3D TAS. There are people way better on that than me.
I liked the run. I was just uttering an opinion on what, in my opinion, would make the run better. No one needs to do it if they don't feel like it. Completely optional. They can even ignore it. That's totally fine, too. But I did feel like saying what I thought.
The question isn't about what can be exploited in a non-TAS run. How entertaining would a battle be that was 5 minutes long with regular attacks and just superguarding all attacks? It would probably become a little too repetitive, and the TAS element doesn't help that.
I don't find the whole planning to get into 1 hp very entertaining at all since it's usually just get into battle, get hit a few times. Done. It's always the same. Besides, it's just about having some luck that some attacks miss mario or hits his partner and other times it's just about eating it and guarding. That can be done in a segmented real-time run, too.
It affects all bosses. I don't mind if mario struggles with regular enemies as long as the runner shows ingenuity or variation and it doesn't become too long. It would be much more entertaining than a battle that just ends in the same way in a few seconds. You don't even have time to dig the music!
Well, I mean, obviously it's subjective, but I don't mind the run's length at all. The longer, the better. If there is enough entertainment, then it could be 7 days for all I care. That would just mean I have more entertainment to watch.
It's not the length that matters in a speedup. What matters is doing things quickly. That's where the awe comes in. Moving quickly, exploiting glitches, beating bosses with style and without repetitiveness, etc.
Not sure if low% would be such a good fit considering battles might just get significantly longer if you're actively avoiding picking up any badges. Though I do wonder what kind of strategies would be necessary to avoid all the damage.
I never considered length a deciding factor if the entertainment was there. In fact, I welcome long runs since it means more entertainment!
One thing I'd like to see for sure is a run that doesn't abuse peril status since it makes battles boring.
This has just turned into a flame war of slinging insults back and forth. Not even any constructive discussion in any way or form. I think I am going to have to ignore this topic for a while.
Sigh. You don't get the point. If you have permission to upload someone else's video, it shouldn't matter WHERE you uploaded it and it shouldn't matter if you profit from it (as in, increased popularity and subscribers) AS LONG AS you give credit where due.
sonicpacker: There is nothing wrong with promoting one's own channel and the way you're coming off makes you an asshole.
I will also add to that I wish to see this off-topic discussion moved or preferably deleted.
Sigh...
You are an asshole, because that attitude is the attitude of an asshole, and that is all I have to say on the topic.
Though I'm guessing this will just add fuel to the fire, but it had to be said, because that attitude is unbecoming of people >_<
It's probably pointless to tell everyone to get back on topic right now...
Would it be possible to get a raw encode (i.e. encode before uploaded to youtube) or at the very least, a 720p youtube upload? Having 240/360/480 video on youtube hurts quality something terrible.
Still, you're doing a fantastic job and it's a pleasure to watch, so here's my encouragement to you! Good luck!
Me too. Plus the fact that for some reason Nico videos are really low quality even though japan has some of the best broadband infrastructure in the world. Go figure.
No, it does. But the one who inlines it have the option to control settings such as allowing full screen and resolution, I believe. I have seen both types.
Well, obviously you're not going to notice that much if you sit on a tiny screen, but screens with 1920x1080 is pretty high these days and on such screens, it looks absolutely awful. I always compare full screen, of course. Can't watch videos non-full screen.
...Well, unless your computer can't handle it. That sucks :(
Maybe Youtube dampens the quality further compared to other video players, but it's still a fact that any low-resolution video upscaled in a video player is going to look blocky and awful.
Give me the original and I'll see if I can spot blocking in the original. Maybe I'll also uploading my own low-quality downscaled video (hint: the original is going to look blurry, but not blocky; but the reverse will be seen on youtube).
Also check the video link I posted.
No, it's not the upscaling. It's the quality. Low resolution video on youtube gets blocky and grainy. Furthermore, the audio gets a "metallic" sound, all which are signs of poor compression. Compare a TAS encode (< 480p) on TASVideos vs. the same on youtube.
