Voting no for failing to play as Fluttershy.

It seems Youtube's taken down their pony easter eggs. Small shame, but oh well.

Also, if that's a trailer... that trailer looks a little silly. Everyone ramping up to fight off some giant cupcake-stealing monster that was made up because one of the lead characters lied? Not to mention the odd-looking kicking, the teachers using 'common sense' to say "Let's use our magic to blast away the monster!" instead of "Let's find out what really happened"... It really just looks like a chopped-down version of one episode, not the teaser it needs to be to get people excited about the series.
Also, the animation and art is distressingly similar to the Barbie movies.

Because we're not "central European". Gotta give credit for livelier, more interesting color patterns, though.

I need to ask, what is it about the movement tracking object in level three that requires you to pause and backtrack some? Without that knowledge, those movements are really baffling.

Well, the issue with doing it for the fans isn't the character designs, in my view. Kids can take more than we give them credit for: while that Chrysalis may give some young'in nightmares, it won't permanently stunt them. I honestly think an occasional scare is a good thing for a child, but I can't quite articulate why. No, the issue with writing for the fans is the danger of locking out new readers. The art may be nifty, but I've always been disappointed by how much focus is given to the popular background characters. Pandering to the fans rarely results in more than an inscrutable wall of inside jokes and, for lack of a better term, mass circlejerking.

Is conceptual art a tool-assisted speedrun?

I'm... not sure that's what he meant. I thought he was asking why I thought the faux-retro game was garbage. It takes more than pixels and chiptunes to make go, "This is SO great!" You need more than obnoxiously repitive tunes to get me to enjoy something. But most importantly, your level designs should not be a random mishmash of almost empty rooms navigated using controls that just feel off! And the floors! Everything is a flat shade of brown! Ugh. And four out of six bosses have the basic strategy of, "Get up in their grill and mash the attack button."

Huh. That's... Quite a thing. I wonder how much could be skipped in an any% by doing that? Random brainstorming, either something made a call to the "head die" function, or a number overflowed into the head's health, setting it's value to negative.

And what, watch a months-long movie of building random structures and waiting so you can build more structures? Unless you're talking a different game, I'll pass.

All right, so which Japanese games made within the past 10 years and have been TASed have had someone named "Ito" who worked on them? We can narrow this down!

I hate saying things like this, because I feel like a demanding whiner with no ability to contribute, buuuuut... Whatever the new video turns out to be like, could we put in a little more pizzaz than the last one? The previous promotional video was just a random assortment of clips, with no rhyme, reason, or rhythm. As an example of what I'm talking about, how about using the video to brag about the way we do things, such as fast boss fights, then fade into a portion of impressive TAS battles? And then go on to "amazing shortcuts" and whatnot. Preferably set to the beat of whatever song is chosen. That is all.
