For me, when I take the time to transcribe these melodies that sound so amazing to me at the time, they just turn out to be pretty average stuff. I still like that melody, but it's nothing special. It's not 100% what I've dreamt, but pretty close.
I envy you so much right now.

I'm definitely a musician in spirit. Which I find extremely annoying, as I have a nasty habit of conjuring up some truly amazing compositions while I'm asleep or falling asleep. Of course, I can can never remember what these songs are by the time I wake up. Otherwise, musically, I stink.

Ferret Faucet, if you were a woman, I would marry you so hard! Thank you! Pirohiko: Don't thank me, Ferret Faucet made it.

I understand the memory map in the top right, but can you describe what everything else means, including the significance of the part at the bottom of the screen?
That represents a significant part of the RNG. The line of bars represent the numbers in the array that get pulled as part of the RNG; when you are on a map, the white line is your step counter, and the red lines indicate when you'll go into combat. In combat, the pink line is what the RNG started out as, the green line is where the combat RNG is at.

Oh, and Youtube didn't take to your rather interesting encode very well; it has some nasty A/V desynch going on.

Ah sweet, cutscene desynch! Yeah, I didn't make the run, and I'm not sure just how much I've contributed to it, but I can safely say that I'm proud to have at least gotten the ball rolling. Glitched runs like this are my favorite. It skips over large, significant portions of the game, but without skipping over all the interesting parts. That, and the setup is really contrived and convoluted, so it's not like you can start the game, walk to the ending, and call it a day. This gets the Ferret's Stamp of Approval. (I need a graphic for a stamp of approval...)

Last night I dreampt of wheelchairs not only made entirely of wood, but were also completely motorized and were operated exactly like a stick shift car, three pedal setup and shift stick and everything. At one point I decided to mess around with one by seeing how fast the wheels would spin by lifting it off the ground and letting it idle in overdrive.

Agreed with others. Brain Age is one of those games that are basically one shot wonders. The previous movie did a good job of demonstrating how faulty the number recognition can be, and did so at a faster clip. The art in this run is indeed many times more impressive, but that resulted in the movie dragging on a bit; as well, it seems functionally redundant since the point has been made already. That being said, well done with much technical merit! I wish the judges good luck in deciding what to do about this. (also, I am irked by the continued non-presence of a furret...)

Bizarrely amusing. I can't help but approve for some odd reason...

Okay, I admit, not all my feedback is useful.

Oh, it does? Thank you. Perhaps it should be made more apparent? *shrug* That's a lotta windows you have open there.

You know what this place needs? A "Link to this post" button for individual posts. It's possible to do so, but the method is very obtuse. Just something to get the needed URL quickly and not have to manually assemble it would be great.

Well, considering just how many applicants they get, there needs to be *some* sort of way to filter people out if you're not taking resumés. After all, the people there can't interview each and every applicant to an unskilled job. Yeah, I have to question the validity of a test like this, but to describe it as "vile" and "morally reprehensible" is a bit much. I'm not necessarily defending this current test, but I can see its function in this sort of setting.

I thought the rule was that if a live cell had two *or* three neighbors, it stayed alive.

Okay, show of hands: Who here, when watching this, sang the Weird Al versions were applicable? Your butt is wide? Well mine is, too. Just shut your mouth, or I'll sit on you!

The movie listings are behaving slightly odd. It used to be that I could navigate while the page was loading, but nowadays I can't scroll anywhere until the page is done or I've hit the stop button.

Can't really say I knew the guy all that well. But he was still a familiar face around here. Will certainly be missed. So long, Zero Kirby.

If your budget allows you to own only one bike, make it a mountain bike. Here's why.
