Off topic, but I actually know the guy who made eversion from another online community. I'd be using an even older (and a much harder) version of Eversion, but I seem to have lost track of it. Of course, the guy hates the entire concept of TASing, even when it's not one of his games under discussion...
You know Zara? Cool. Also brings up whether his Zeux World game works too.

I shall spend my 1000th post here to praise this project. This is indeed looking rather neat. Can't wait for more! Good to see the old version of Eversion being used (the new music stinks). I can only hope that Eternal Daughter works here as well.

You also have QuickHex that is really nice for this type of situation. Just know that splicing pieces of movies will cause desync more often that not.
any tips to avoid desynchronizations? they are freaking me out, I attempt to modify the frames (slightly) in different ways to no avail >< the game is Streets of Rage 2, maybe this game is "special" with splicing...
I don't know about Streets 2, but not all games can be easily hexed due to random elements. Best you can do is insert empty frames to see if it will affect anything, but often you'll have to redo whatever doesn't synch up.

Okay, so I managed to recover this game and my movie. I found the shortcut. Man, that would have been so nice to know...

Sounds like you want to do some hex editing. Try this topic for a handy program.

Hey, uh, would someone be willing to answer my question?

The one time I check on this topic after the longest time and I see someone addresses me. How many of these have I missed? Thank you, but I must pull a Saturn and say I've known about that long before it hit cheezburgr. It's nice you're looking out for me, though! In other ferret video news, I must share this with you.
I heard about that video even later in the lifecycle of memehood: The Huffington Post.
'Twas mentioned there, too? Huh. Here's the original video, in case you're curious.

Hmm, I'll have to check this out later, considering I tried my hand at this already. Just might have a reason to break out my old computer for a bit...

Only one frame on level three! Grar! D: I never really though I'd be involved in something like this. Good job nonetheless.

Oh yes, I forgot until now... A roommate of mine watched me in one of my attempts to TAS the fight with Sardius in Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. He seemed interested but otherwise didn't care too much.

You may know my brother already posts here, so I don't need to go on that angle. As for anyone else, I bring it up only if they ask what hobbies I have and I think they'd understand it without thinking I'm too weird, but I don't talk about it much.

I always remembered it as NNNNNNNN.
Was it that? You're probably right, but I remember that simple combinations of N and A got you there regardless. First time I reached that level was on accident using that code.

Years ago a Street Fighter 2 machine at an arcade I frequented had locked up with Guile standing right next to Vega. Now I know what that was all about! Thank you for clearing that up. (the arcade operators appeared to have not noticed it was bugged up, so it remained that way for about a week; I ended up kicking the cabinet until the screen turned red; that got their attention since it was up and running the next day)

Battletoads: first time my brother got to the final level, he somehow bugged out one of the sinking platforms so that it wouldn't stop when it returned to its normal altitude. He used it to get through much of the level.

My sister's encountered some bugs in both the original Zelda and in Ocarina. We have no clue how she did them. In the first game, she somehow got the game to flip out completely. It was in a glitchy version of the central desert, and there was a staircase in it that led to a cave that contained a garbled sprite that spouted nonsense. The overworld itself had a bad palette. I believe there were some other things going on, like possibly some screwed up music, that I can't remember the details for, but eventually wandering around fixed it. In Ocarina, she was swimming around in the fishing pond in the future, and when she came to shore, Link was still doing his swimming animation. The game somehow behaved in a mix of swimming and walking: she could dive, and after doing so, Link would perpetually do his resurfacing animation, but never leave the ground. I think there was something else in the Water Temple we came across, but I can't remember what it was. Once, when playing Stonehead in Majora's Mask, I was rolling around as a goron and, in the room with the two platforms you have to pound to change their heights, I lodge myself between a platform and a wall and fell into some other part of the dungeon that wasn't properly loaded.

Youtube doubler, huh? That's handy! About a year ago The English Man pointed out just how well these two endings go together.
