Then you have weird cases like me where I wonder why the judges accepted my movie in the first place. Not that I'm not grateful, just kinda surprised.

It would seem my complimenting of Temmy's abuse of the AI got misinterpreted as me insulting the AI. >_>

One was another movie sequel of Sex and the City, set in the not too distant future where New York has been decimated by a nuclear apocalypse. The details are fuzzy, but I remember that it centered around Carrie and her trite, self-absorbed observations about her damn love life while the other 99% of civilization struggled to find food and shelter. For no reason other than to generate drama in an otherwise flat and meandering plotline, there was a scene where Samantha got a beatdown from a gang of wasteland-dwelling mutants. It'd be worth the price of admission just for that last part.
I would watch this movie. When it is over, I would go to the box office, buy another ticket, and watch it again. Dude, that is just awesome. I wish I had dreams like that.

Well, according to that little video I saw, you'd have to be immensely stupid to get caught. It almost seems like you could go up to one of these guys, punch him in the face, and all he'd do is let out a confused, "Huh? What was that?"

All I've seen of this is the first ten minutes that were posted on Youtube. All I have to say is this: This is exactly the reason why you do not contract a discount rent-a-cop business to guard your top-secret military installation.

At the risk of turning this into a personal dream log, and in the hopes of others sharing their crazy night visions, I'll post one more. Last night's dream had the following elements in it: 1. An animated adaptation of this webcomic whose fidelity to the source material began and ended with the inclusion of a single character, and only after some creative liberties were taken with her; literally everything else was thrown out. It had some really nice animation and sound effects, though! 2. Trying to google information about said adaption only yielded stuff about snow speeders and Tai Lung; I'm still trying to figure out what the connection is between these three. 3. A bike store that, several minutes later in dream time, turned into a video game shop in a way that things change in dreams. Marcus Fenix was milling around in it during the video game phase. 4. A gray, three ring binder with the name "Ennesby" written on the front with black permanent marker. 5. Finishing off with the crew of the Red Dwarf wandering around inside one of these. There was a bunch of other stuff that was equally bizarre, and at one point the dream had a logical procession to it in ways that dreams rarely do, but I can't recall those details. Still, I find it kinda weird how your brain just randomly mashes things together for some interesting results. (I'm also almost worried about what they say about me)

Perhaps if you frequented the Next Gen boards back then and had an easily recognizable username aside from "Rick," then maybe. But most likely not, since I didn't commit any names to memory. (not to mention I'm more of a lurker than a poster there, both then and now) In short: No, I don't remember you as of right now. Now, to reciprocate: Did you see me? I have the same username. Probably not, because of the afore mentioned "Lurker" status... But hey! Common background is always neat.

I remember the Morimoto's infamous Mario 3 movie being heavily discussed on GameFAQs back in 2004. I didn't really bother to watch, just watched everyone's reactions along the lines of "No way!" When I heard the rumblings that it may have been emulated, I did feel a little let down even though I hadn't watched it. But then someone said something like, "He didn't do this to show skill, he did this to provide a cool video," an argument I bought. Then I heard about the 99 lives. I had to watch. So I did. And I was impressed. I ended up here after trying to find it again.

You know, hearing about the 99 lives bit is what got me to watch Morimoto's run back in the day. It's nice having that old friend back. And holy snap, new route at the end!

I thought the FAQs had this covered... .VBM, .SMC, .FM2, .etc, are not video files you open with a player or other program; they are files that contain a stream of input that you play back on top of a game that's being emulated. What you do is download the needed emulator and ROM, open the ROM with the emulator, and play the .vbm or whatever back. The option to do so is under "Tools" in VBA, although it's sometimes under "File" in other emulators.

Well, I do not typically like TAS Videos, maby because of how they are advertised more so than how they are made. Like you will have a video of a guy beating some game in 14 seconds without making a single mistake at all... no one ever mentions that he played the game very slow, plays with recorded chops, or downright altered the game in some way. Rather its present as "some guy with good skill playing a game", and when you put that next to people who actually do speed runs it basically steps all over them.
You know something? We hate it when that happens too. (admittedly I could be better about it on my Youtube channel...)

My two American pennies: I know of many spots that most of my movies can be improved. I've even pointed them out in some of my submission texts.

By the way, one thing that had me wondering was why you used the US version of the ROM. You're Japanese, so why not use the JP version? Do the glitches work differently in that version?
People can get rather anal about the "Use the US version" rule.

You know, as much as I appreciate pointing a gun between the eyes of the game's logic and pulling the trigger, couldn't it have been done with less random twitchery? Will be forgiven if such rapid zigzagging is a method of moving faster. Either way, yes. Reminds me of how much I really need to play this for myself.

When I say "CD Audio", I'm referring to CD music tracks that are placed on a disc along with the game data. PCSX doesn't handle the playing of said tracks, and instead has your system's sound card deal with it. This means the music can't be recorded from the emulator as is usually the case, and instead must be recorded separately and put into the movie file with the rest of the audio that got captured fine. You can imagine this means synching the music can be problematic, so I attempted the log which frame a given track starts playing to help out. Not all Playstation games use CD audio for it's music, so this hasn't been a problem before.

Alrighty, you want me to be picky: Outside of the furret and whatever happens to be playable in a Smash title (Pichu!), I could not care less about Pokémon; this includes the games, the cartoons, and the merchandise (although I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some furret swag...). So nyah. :P

I think I've just come to the conclusion that there's nothing more offensive on the internet than a top 10 list.
