"Slave SH2 invalid opcode" The lower part is not the same for each window. It seems that one window pops up right after a movie clip ends. I tried to upload a screen capture of it, but... crap, ImageShack begins to ask me for money.

Super Tempo results in black screen right after the Sega Saturn intro finishes. Mega Man X4 and Mega Man 8 result in black screen after Capcom intro finishes. "Yabooze dun goofed" windows pop up at certain points when running Mega Man X3. The game is playable, but the graphics of the hero are glitchy. All games mentioned are on Sega Saturn.

With Juste, I'm quite ok with them being separate categories because a run with Juste has to build up the character to have more options for movement. For instance, Juste gets a feather to allow double-jumping. On the other hand, Maxim is already powered up at the start, so the extra time spent going through hallways in the in-bounds run isn't that interesting.
Totally agree.

Will Hourglass Resurrection have a better compatibility with NT 6.x systems? Thanks for all the hard work.

It would be nice if it's encoded like most other DS movies are(one big screen on the left, two small screens on the right). It's rather hard to enjoy the movie while all screens are so small.

There are some useful running tweaks on Pokemon HeartGold, but I don't think there are any in Pearl (not found at least)
Is it possible to go to the northern part of Route 210 earlier by triggering running tweaks?

Maps in Diamond and Pearl are broken up into 32-step by 32-step squares that are visible at any time, with nine of these squares loaded at any given time. When a player crosses over the game's various "load lines", located halfway across these 32×32 squares, the next area is loaded to memory, while the previous is unloaded. Through this, the overworld becomes a seamless area. Using the bicycle in the fourth gear, however, can cause the player to move too fast for the game to load the areas properly, especially if he or she changes direction while doing so to cross over the two load lines in the center of a square nearly simultaneously. Doing so triggers a race condition bug, causing varying effects such as a black area, a white area, or even a fully-loaded area to load, freeze the game, or change the Z-axis location.
The speed of running is probably not even close to be fast enough.

What about when May's the NPC? Does this occur in Ruby/Sapphire too?
1.Yes, it's the same. 2.No, the rival is using his/her computer in R/S, so you must talk to him/her forwardly.

The list of version-exclusive Pokémons is correct, but the difference between chances to get a water/fire starter doesn't sound right. A few version-exclusive Pokémons probably won't make much difference for any%, just like the case of FR/LG.

Yeah you are right. I was being silly :P However, the game freezes and auto-resets after I choose "POKEMON" in the menu. This applies to both Gold and Silver. I'm using Bizhawk 1.6 beta. I was using the same strategy that was used in the published run, except that Abras have different genders and Croconaw's name is "U". Is it caused by the reason FractalFusion and Sanqui talked about?

I attempted to do the map distortion route on Silver and failed. ABRA with the name of GEODUDE didn't create bad clone. (However I might have done something wrong.)

Does Emerald has the same wild encounter mechanism with R/S or FR/LG?

I tried. It crashes.

Pier Solar? I thought we were talking about Sanic CD? Your last post says Sanic CD. Pier Solar's companion CD is not an audio CD; it's actually all data. Edit: To clarify: Bizhawk does not play Pier Solar's enhanced alternate music simply because it does not load the companion CD with the game.
I was talking about "PCM disks for Genesis games", specifically the one with Pier Solar :P

The guy who uploads the Pier Solar rom says that GenesisPlusGX will detect the ISO as long as it's in the same directory as the bin. The enhanced audio pack provided on Pier Solar's official website only contains an ISO for you to burn a disk. So yes, those are all I have, a bin and an ISO. I wonder if a corresponding cue has ever existed.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Badge It's not mentioned in Bulbapedia.
In the second generation, if the attacker's trainer had obtained the badge from the Gym featuring the type of the move being used (there was no Dark-type Gym, but every other type had one in either Johto or Kanto), its power would be multiplied by 1.125.
Badges. In Pokémon Gold Version, Pokémon Silver Version, and Pokémon Crystal Version, in battles in which Exp. Points can be gained, the Johto and Kanto badges multiply damage of the appropriate attack type by 9/8 for Pokémon controlled by the player, as shown here: Zephyr Badge: Flying; Hive Badge: Bug; Plain Badge: Normal; Mineral Badge: Steel; Glacier Badge: Ice; Fog Badge: Ghost; Storm Badge: Fighting; Rising Badge: Dragon; Soul Badge: Poison; Volcano Badge: Fire; Boulder Badge: Rock; Rainbow Badge: Grass; Marsh Badge: Psychic; Earth Badge: Ground; Thunder Badge: Electric; Cascade Badge: Water.
Earth Badge is still corresponding to Ground when Ethan and Kris get there? Didn't know Giovanni's presence has such effect even after 3 years.

It seems PCM disks for Genesis games are still not supported in 1.6.0 release?

Note: This movie begins from a save state from the end of regular mode in order to access Hyper Sonic from the beginning of the game. There is no other way to access it outside of a hack. We normally do not accept movies which begin from a save state.
This movie has lost its meaning if it's even slower than the normal run.

Maybe Genesis Sonic 3 & Knuckles (World) "newgame+" in 31:16.15 (http://tasvideos.org/1617M.html) should be removed? Now it's even slower than the normal run Genesis Sonic 3 & Knuckles (World) in 29:51.2 (http://tasvideos.org/1656M.html).

.iso probably should be listed as supported file type. Sonic CD still doesn't have sound. Is that the way it's supposed to be ?

Q: What's the difference between the MMC3 and MMC5 versions? A: The MMC5 version is technically superior. There is less slowdown and the charging sound doesn't interrupt the music. The author guarantees that the MMC5 version will work in FCEUX and that the MMC3 version will work in VirtuaNes. Other emulators may have issues, ranging from minor visual bugs to completely not working. Go ahead and try either version in your preferred emulator, but I personally recommend just playing the MMC5 version in FCEUX. MMC3 and MMC5 are chips that NES cartridges contained. The MMC5 is a later, more advanced chip. Mega Man 4 was originally made for the MMC3 chip, but PureSabe ported it to the MMC5 chip for his romhack to take advantage of its more advanced capabilities.
Bizhawk can't run MMC5 version of Rockman 4 Minus Infinity.

Do you mean both coin case route and map distortion route or only the coin case route?

A file named mupen64plus.cfg appears in D:\ when Bizhawk runs N64 games.

Wait....this only works for gold? Does that mean an improvement for [564] GBC Pokémon: Gold Version by FractalFusion in 2:54:27.15 should be done in Silver/Crystal?
Agree, especially for Crystal. I really think the solitary version of each generation is the best choice to make a glitchless run.

I recall gold is faster than silver, thus gold was chosen - crystal is a different, longer game, so would be its own category - but at the same time, for TAS it's not an awful lot different to watch, so what's the incentive to re-invent the wheel?
Curious about why Gold is faster.
