I don't know if you guys hangs around at Twitch as much as I do. But there is a channel in the Retro section over there named SpeedrunHypeTV that just basically shows all the movies from your site 24/7, with subscription, emotes and everything. Around 150-200ish viewers. If this was something that you guys had setup I would be totally fine with that, that would be really cool.. but this is being setup by a guy named Jovellius(according to his site that is clickable from that twitch site) He's not creating any content on his own, he is just showing others content and makes money on it. I think this is very wrong, but what do I know, I'm just a silly Swed :P

Its already been done. Here is Nuduas. I dont know if Nudua was first but his is the current WR(As what Im aware of). http://www.twitch.tv/nudua/c/5080461 Im no HEX editing guy or anything, but the point is to center the screen as shown in the video and then enter the menu before entering the store. Buy the mirror and then try to buy it 3 more times and then the end credits rolls. I have played around with the glitch aswell and it is also possible to warp here and there in the game with random stuff and unlimited cash aswell as shown in your video to get max level. But mostly the game will crash... HARD :)

Sorry for asking in such of old thread In some levels there is "bonus levels" here and there(Lady stuff, like a purse, necklace, shoe etc.) In the first level directly after you have passed the "2" sign there is a fruit. Take that and a purse will appear and a lady takes you to a bonuslevel up in the skies. Jump down and you will begin at the "4" sign. I'm not home so I cannot test this. But what do you guys thinks. Could this be faster?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ebHPCM_XtE Here's the new route Guts-Cut-Elec-Ice-Fire-Bomb The reason I don't immediately do elec man is that the time wasted going through cutmans stage w/o the magnet beam is less than the time wasted on beating elec man with the megabuster.
This will be intresting. :) looking forward to it. Im gonna continue with this as soon I get my new laptop next week. My current one crashed. Old and crappy from 2002 :P

Finally done with the MM1 part and can start with MM2. I am 46.3 sec ahead then the previous full-run post and 69.7sec faster then my last run. Just a quick update before I start with MM2 ;)

Oh, I just remembered to ask, did you find out whether it's faster to have Rolling Cutter for ElecMan or to have Magnet Beam and Thunder Beam for CutMan? Frenom's run went GutsMan-ElecMan-CutMan, while yours went GutsMan-CutMan-ElecMan, so you should be able to make such a comparison now.
GutsMan-CutMan-ElecMan Gutsman:3rd boss, goes down with 3 Hyper bombs. Cutman: goes down with 2 Gut Arms. Elecman: way faster, goes down with 3 Rolling cutter. GutsMan-ElecMan-CutMan Gutsman: First boss, no Hyper bomb, takes 14 Mega Buster Shots. Elecman: No rolling cutter=SLOW boss battle, takes 28 mega buster shots. CutMan: Slightly faster battle, the trick with thunder beam is pretty unique. Over all, even though I don't have the magnet beam early, it's still faster to beat Fireman First and go down the line of Robot Masters, weakness to weakness. Plus Fire Storm works wonders against most small enemies.
Dunno if weapon against weapon always is the best way to go when Magnet Beam is such an important weapon to get. Atleast TAS wise. I began to continue abit on my old run from 2005 when I first saw your posts to see if it really is faster to take them weapon against weapon. The route I take compared to your route.. and at Wily stage 1 you are 20 sec behind mine.

Were you able to watch any of Frenom's movies before the links went dead? I still have the ones from the 2/17/2005 post, and while they're obviously not perfect, many parts of that Rockman 1 run looked faster than yours. I don't seem to have downloaded the movie from the 2/27/2005 post, but it must be even faster. Here, let me re-upload the 2/17 movies at least
Huh.. can't belive that you accually saved thoose.. haha, nice one BoMF :)

Voting no. I didnt read the comments before I watched, so Im not gonna repeat that has already been said, but I agree with everything that Truncated wrote. I think that alot of the bosses can be speeded up with atleast 10-15% or even more in this run just by collecting the life tanks better or save them so you can do your phoenix more. Correct me If Im wrong, but cant you kill the Butterfly with one Phoenix instead of flaming it to death? And please, do some less Counter-force.. that annoyed me alot..

It is indeed slow when selling. But that is something you cant do anything about. Didnt thought you were able to take down Zio without any lvling, again. But I did see that Chaz miss in the fight, why? You can press right or left just before he's gonna hit to make him hit. Nice update

thats because I force him to hit Chaz by pressing any buttons just before he is going to hit :P

I made a video for you to show how I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWsoa7VowxA By pressing different keys just before something is going to happen you can control the whole fight. Who that will be healed, Who that will be hit, Crits, Miss, how much the hit will take and so on ect ect ect :) this also work just before the enemie will appear. For example when lvling on the Sandworms later on. If you get small worms, reload just when you enter the battle and press some buttons and voila, you fight a Sandworm instead. Hope this cleared up some. EDIT: Just saw that it didnt record my key pressings.. hope you see it anyway

Nice, didnt thought that you would be able to take down Juza either. But cool. Isnt it faster to make a macro for all the things you are doing in that fight since there are mostly just heals and attacks? You can decide who that will be healed just by pressing different keys before the heal is coming, same goes for attacks/criticals/who the enemie will hit on/ramdomize enemies before the fight starts. If you are going to start all over I noticed some things that could speed it up abit :) In Tonoe when you are at the shop. Instead of going left when you are done you can go right and up to safe around 4seconds. In the basement when you collect ashline you can teleport right away to Zema instead of first teleport out of the basement and then leave the town to teleport. Just by doing that you can shave off like 10seconds of your run, with an total of like 14seconds :) Oh and how come that you choosed the "Phantasy Star IV (4) [b5]" instead of the "Phantasy Star IV (4) [!]" version of the game? I have to delete the .srm file everytime I have to watch your movie :) Keep it up

Ofc you should kill sandworms later on. They are the fastest way to lvl on. I just gave you a tip how to save your mesetas while lvling instead of using the inn at the town and waste alot of meseatas. :]

Cool that someone is working on this one again. Things that I thought of while watching. I dont really see the point of talking to the statue, except for some meaningless text that takes alot of frames ;) Try to setup some macros before entering the battle, they will save you alot of time while fighting your enemies. How come you didnt kill Hahn at the first Igglandova? He is kinda usless and even if you place him on defend he will first take frames, combat input and last steal your partymembers exp ;) Try to walk smarter, like in a straight line. I know that you dont lose any frames, but it looks better. You know that you can kill Igglandova with Gryz Crash when you encounter him the second time ;) He will die instant without any extra mobs and you will save around 2mins there... just a tip :P Plan your lvling later on... and not like I did(Kill a worm, go to the inn, rest, repeat). Instead Kill the son-of-the-worm, teleport to the garage(were you find the landover), step on the healingpod and teleport back. I know that you will lose some frames on that tactic, but you save your money... this is the reason why my run came to an end. I didnt plan my lvling good enough and I didnt had the strengh to redo the whooole run. So try to save your money, pick up boxes with mesetas inside(if they are close to your route).. so you can buy some nice armor just before facing Lashiec. :) Good luck to you. :)
