How many timeunits did you get for 1-1 (and 1-2 if you finished it?) I tried timeattacking this but I couldn't find a way to avoid stopping once in 1-1. The area in question is here:

Um, how are you planning on skipping the 1%? It's in a what I believe unavoidable place.

That was a pretty nice video, but I think the two ships stay too close to each other. There were plenty of paths to take in Stage 2 but you made both of them take the same way.

I think some clients might automatically send if you type in too much stuff at once or something. I have no clue but I feel that the move is a brilliant idea and three cheers to Bisqwit.

I remember reading about, how, in Summers, you can leave a Shattered Man in the museum to beat up at the end of the game. That'd be something to try...but how long would it take? Edit: Actually, it wouldn't really be the party, because by then you'd either be just Ness alone or Ness+Paula. Either one would have an easy battle if you powerleveled and it'd be something neat to show. I'm pretty sure it's either Ness by himself or with Paula if you didn't return her home. (I did it with just Ness. Wasn't too tough with Rockin Beta)

For luck manipulation, powerups would be quite the necessary thing. Especially for stuff like Item 1 which uses more than 1 bar of weapon energy. I think this would be better in the rockman 2 topic, but...

I don't think the gains are worth the amount of time it takes to do the castle.

I would think it'd be possible. Stay up near one of the poles and walk around the pole in whatever direction you want to go in. The closer you are to the poles the easier this is. Now the only problem is getting a connection there...

Any moments of waiting around is just the result of me being an idiot and unable to timeattack efficiently. But yeah, hard made seems to make the bosses take too long to keep everything going smoothly, and especially the enemies before them, I keep feeling like I'm supposted to be going faster against them. A 2P run would be really really sweet, but unless someone is somehow willing to control both, the only people I could think of that are able to do such a thing is Phil and Genisto.

I'd really hate to bump a topic this old, but... After playing through a couple times, here's what I ended up getting. It's not wonderful, I miss several hits, and I'm forced to use a chain for about half the game, but maybe this can give someone the inspiration to make something submit-worthy. This plays on the hard difficulty, so bosses take a little bit longer. Edit: Check bobwhoops's post. Be happy.

No I do not. Pears are disgusting. Oh, stairs. I don't have those in either my mouth or my house.

I know it's basic nitpicking over something as minor as an image, but it'd look a lot cleaner if you removed the background layer, the sprites and the information at the top of the screen. Great run so far Viper, keep it up.

The blue mage might be a bit tricky to use. Remember that you have to have the mage actually get hit by the spell, so battles might end up with the heroes standing like an idiot while the enemy constantly uses the wrong attack, and if it does use the spell it might end up not even hitting the blue mage. The Mystic Knight would be really handy, sword magic is uber powerful. Would you have time to get !Sshot? It'd be so awesome to have but I'm not sure of any way to get the AP needed quickly... Well this post got obsoleted quickly due to Boco's posting while I was typing. Bah.

1 = l 3 = E 7 = T Examine their similiarites to get leet, otherwise known as elite. This has practicly become it's own language and can be ridiculously simple or so complex even I have problems reading it. And I'm fairly good at this.

Actually, I think all you have to do to view that scene is get every Jiggy, because I remember viewing that scene and not getting all the notes. Getting every one of those things would be horrible anyway.

What are you asking of me? If you want me to make this timeattack, the answer is no.

I haven't even beat Final Fantasy in the first place. I'm not a bad enough dude for RPGs in general, I suck at them.

Well Zoizite and GSGold were having a small compition with the game last night on IRC. I think Zoizite also expressed interest in doing the game, although don't quote me on it....
I have no idea what in the world you're thinking, because we were just playing around and this topic didn't even exist last night. Besides, I think a Final Fantasy run would be too boring.
