My shortest encode ever. SD Stream SD Download HD Stream I vote Yes for this funny run. And also, this very run beat my April Fool's submission, making mine the 2nd most viewed of them.

But there's no (U) version of DDR 5th Mix!!! :'( (Unless it's Konamix) And lol it's the 2nd most viewed April Fool's submission.

I'm voting No, though, because a playaround should use the modifiers to make the game harder (like playing on Reverse... it's a shame DDR didn't have many cool modifiers). Well, also because DDR is trivial to TAS. ;-)
How about I take the hardest tunes in the last DDR PSX game, set Dark, Stealth and Shuffle modifiers, so I don't even know a damn about where are the arrows, and then still win 100% perfectly?

I don't get it.
Dropbox's Public folder has a bandwith limit. Break that limit = you can't share from your Public folder for some days.

Let me start off by saying that I always wanted a GBA Micro but could never find one. Thanks for pulling that wound open :(
Haha! I was expecting a bad comment, but also a good one. About the GB Micro, yeah, it's a pretty rare console. I found mine used in a small video game shop for only 40 bucks. For the rarity, I couldn't help myself but to buy it, and I see that the screen is better (while smaller) than the one on the other models, and it's the most portable of all GBAs (if not all video gaming consoles).

Myes, excellent question. See I am one of those fucked up people who like to play video games while I'm walking down the street.
lol! I can never imagine myself playing games while walking at all! I have to sit or stand still to play.

Now, this has been close to impossible with the recent portable consoles, and from what I've seen, game utilizing the 3D effect pretty much forces you to press the console up against your face and then do cool shit like turn and twist it to move the camera or character or whatnot.
I tried the 3DS, and I disagree with this part. You even have to keep your face in a distance from the screen so you can see everything. And that "sweet spot" is easy to find and it's not that easy to get off it. And who told you of a game that uses the 3DS's built-in accelerometer to move the camera or the character? If someone makes a game like this, he's definately weird! Oh wait... maybe Super Monkey Ball 3D... but I think they give you the option to the control the game with the "Circle pad" instead. Anyway, you can always turn off the 3D to enjoy your glorified PSP. :P (Not thinking you're getting the 3DS anyway.)

The 3DS without 3D isn't quite like the DS: The top screen is still bigger and the console is almost as powerful as a Wii.
I actually think it makes Wii graphics, like the PSP. But to produce 3D display without glasses, it has to be more powerful than the Wii.

Sure, I agree. But I do not classify it as a portable console, since it will not be easy to play a game "with ease" while riding the bus or whatnot. My issue here is that it sounds like it is virtually unplayable unless you are indoors and not moving.
Why?

You cannot seriously have bought and played a game on a regular Game Boy Advance, and then compared it to the SP (half size, built in battery, backlight) and not felt fucked. Seriously. The only issue with the SP is that you needed a cable (= another way to make more money) to be able to use headphones. Otherwise, they were like night and day.
You're right on this point. I'm enjoying my GBA games on a GB Micro now. Before that I was enjoying the SP (too bad it broke :|), and before that I was enjoying the GBA. Cardboard, I'm ready to catch your "I hope you're not serious. The GB Micro?! You're weird!".

The console itself might be a good idea (The Power Glove didn't work back in the 90's, it worked when pimped out as the Wii, the Virtual Boy didn't work back in the 90's, it'll probably work while pimped out as the 3DS) but I can see no way to justify that insane price tag.
Which is why I'm looking to win an eBay auction instead of buying it in a store, if I can get it for 200$ or less.

I think the DS had worse than that. Yeah! I mean, look at this.

I mean, at launch, I just got Super Mario 64 DS. Metroid Prime Hunters was a freaking demo that came with the console, not a retailed game! (The real thing came out months later). For the 3DS, if I can get it a bit after the launch, that's SSFIV 3D Edition and Rayman 3D for me. This was my personal opinion, but by looking at the list above this, I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking like this. ---- And here's my opinion on 3D in general. I'm not a 3D hater. I like 3D. But I just don't like its marketing, and the glasses. I mean, they are already selling 3D TVs and glasses on the market for a freaking high price while there is almost no 3D content! And it should be an option in every theater, so those 3D haters and those who get bad side effects from 3D can enjoy the movie. No but seriously, what annoys me the most are those 3D haters. Why? Because 3D without glasses and without side effects is obviously the future. It's just that companies are pushing this too early. I wish they could wait before they push the 3D to the market for the price, the content and to work on the side effects! So yeah, a proper 3D (without glasses and without side effects) is the future. U mad? Deal with it!

Let's, for the sake of the argument, say that it isn't a portable console. In that case, we're down to a clunky piece of hardware, costing more than any of the other home consoles, but this piece of machinery does not really allow for you to invite friends over and play, as you can with the other leading home consoles.
The point of a portable console is to be able to bring it with us with ease. Right? I'm sure you can do that with the 3DS.

This is sort of a first-gen console (not really I suppose, but close enough), and as always, people buying the first-gen of a console gets fucked. Exceptions being the older consoles which pretty much only were one generation.
For the GBA, we got Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP and Game Boy Micro. Between these machines, only the form factor is changed (+ backlight since SP). All the games worked on each platform, so nobody was really fucked. For the DS, we got Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL. I know it's pretty much stupid to rerelease the DS 4 times, but let's face it. The only differences between the Lite and the "Tank" are the screen size and the smaller form factor. [irony]Those who got the "Tank" definately got fucked[/irony]. And then the Nintendo DSi. It only added two of the worst cameras in history of handheld devices (the 3DS got the same kind of cameras, for shame). Also, it could play AAC music, while most people listen to MP3s. The only interesting feature was the DSiWare, where you could download apps and games. Otherwise, I didn't care of the DSi. Then, the DSi XL, nothing but a larger DSi, and it's released too late (like the GB Micro). All the DS games are compatible with all these DS systems. And the battery life didn't get better between them. I got a DS "Tank", and I'll never regret it.

You do realize that the DS will be succeeded by the 3DS in the near future, right? I give the DS 3 years until it's completely phased out.
Flygon is right. The 3DS is not "another DS model", but rather "the DS's successor".

Are you looking forward into it? Interested? What do you think of it? Discuss. Me? I just tried it today in a store (it's not out in NA yet). The 3D works absolutely. That "sweet spot" is so easy to find out, I didn't try to aim for it, it just worked instantly. I also played at maximum 3D, without feeling bad at all. The game I played was Rayman 3D (which is Rayman 2). The 3D depth is present and works, and that freaking purple mosquito that follows your ass at the beginning was popping out of the screen, but it focuses mainly on the depth (like probably almost every game). Too bad the cutscenes weren't in 3D thought, only the gameplay is. And the augmented reality works as well! We were trying it on a glass table. Someone shot a dragon lying on that glass table. I mean, it works and it's fun! I think more games will use that AR technology. I definately want a 3DS... for less than 250$. I mean, it's expensive, for something that can last up to 5 hours a charge (but I could deal with a PSP that lived 4 hours/charge so whatever). I'll try to get one for 200$ or less on eBay, if it's possible.
