My suggestion for a screenshot is from close to the end, when Shang Tsung stands in the uppercut pose with another defeated Shang Tsung supine on the floor and the text "Shang Tsun Wi s" is on the screen. I think it's a microcosm of the whole run in some ways. (08:24 in MisterEpic's encode)
This one?

What do you think of that screenshot? You can suggest better than this, if you do find one!

I'm sorry, but I've already claimed this one. The encode is even done, but I need to upload it. You can still upload yours to YouTube, since I'm planning to upload my SD encode to Dailymotion and Archive, and I won't upload the HD encode, since it's way too big.

mmarks, you got it! The only thing is, the subtitles are a bit too small, but it's hard to make them big enough to be easily readable. I think there will be three YouTube streams for this publication.

You can claim for an encode in a submission's topic before you start the encoding process, like I did 6 posts before this one, and like Flygon did a post before.

How can I replace submission movie file ( http://tasvideos.org/submissions/2885.zip ) and new TAS movie file?
You have to ask a judge for that.

No, it doesn't - as I mentioned before there are no subtitles. Other than that, though, it does look acceptable.
Oops, I didn't see the lack of subtitles. You also need them to make your encodes publishable on TASVideos.

Probably a judge.

Nope. No VFR. In the MKV, there's an x264 video track and a FLAC audio track.
That's the problem. Somehow YouTube doesn't like FLAC in MKV anymore. Send WAV instead.
I'll try with WAV.

sgrunt, I can give the 3 parts of the movie now if you want Movie PART 1 Movie PART 2 Movie PART 3 I tell you the truth these videos work well and I have no delays of audio
That's because your video player supports deduped video. The frame rate varies in these kind of videos, and streaming sites don't like these and destroy them during the processing. In other words, deduped movies work on a video player, but not for streaming sites. If you want your deduped encode to be published, you can send your video file to a publisher, or you can upload it to Archive.org, so we don't have to upload it there. And you should also make a normal video file, without deduping, for streaming sites like YouTube, and for streaming from Archive.org. And, for Archive.org, the video file has to be in one single part. You can make multiple parts for YouTube. Otherwise, your encode looks good!

Damn it! I'm getting tired of encoding problems! And I'm sure you are getting tired of seeing me posting that kind of thread in this forum. This time, it's about HD encoding. I've changed my way to encode in HD, since the "good" MKV way doesn't work for me. YouTube doesn't even encode the video. It leaves it all white all long. By seeing this, I've switched to MP4 packaging, like I did for that Wario Land encode. Another problem has arrived, that damn sound problem. The sound goes off at some point of the movie. But, with the method I'm using since a while, I didn't have any problem! Even with HQx! I'm using the same script since the first time I'm encoding in HD (except for HQx)! And the problem is even occuring when I'm doing point-based encodes! So, can someone who can actually encode in HD tell me or give me the builds of x264, FLAC and mkvmerge he is actually using? That would be much, much appreciated. Thanks.

Mister Epic, what happened to the sound in your videos? It falls way behind in the last few minutes of the first two parts, and it stops altogether half a minute into the third part.
I deleted it. I have to make another help topic in the encoder's corner.

An HQx encode + the official SD encode will come up soon! EDIT: It's delayed, because of encoding problems.

My HQx encode is in the submission text. Next time, I won't forget to add a greyscale filter to my logo.

Wow! What a surprise! I didn't know you could TAS MSX games; openMSX isn't in the emulators page! Let's see if I can dump an AVI from openMSX...

You can check out the thread I made to learn about HQx encoding. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10208 It's easy as downloading a plugin, and replacing some stuff in the usual script. In case you don't know how to install a plugin, just put the DLL to the plugins folder in the AviSynth installed folder.

Flygon, maybe ask MrEpic for HQx? interesting to see
Well k. I will do it then, but not now, since my laptop is broken and I don't have access to my desktop before tonight. FYI, I'm using another desktop, but it's even less powerful than my laptop, so I won't encode with this.

Maybe if I make the subtitles smaller and/or anywhere else, it would solve the problem.

Good thing I've set a variable integer about its vertical position. However, since it's just an example, I won't reencode this for such a reason.

Bisqwit, that stuff you made is awesome! That's why I worked to make a single AviSynth which results of about the same thing as you did. I'm not talking about that sprite moving around the movie. I'm talking about the transition and the graphical subtitles. You can see the script I've made here: http://pastebin.com/c74Gsjjh Let me talk a bit about the script. There are comments in it, so those questions you want to ask are probably already answered here. About the fact I used HQx, you can learn more about that in this thread. I've used the SubtitleEx plugin (Documentation) and the TransAll plugin (Documentation) to accomplish this. You can see the result of this specific script right below. Link to video I know, the banner isn't as pretty as Bisqwit's, but I'm not an expert in image editing. And I can choose another transition, since this plugin has a lot of them. I used [1350] Genesis Alien Soldier by Dammit & Truncated in 18:32.27 for this experiment.
