Please publish this already? It's obviously a high priority TAS. :)
I've got filename problems. I will have to reupload this tonight. And is this a notable publication? It obsoletes a starred one!

Upload started. File is about 600 MB for some reason and I've also made a low-quality streamable encode that weighs 200 MB. So don't expect my encode before some hours. EDIT: I'm gonna publish this with the encode that just got uploaded.

Me? I didn't delete my post. It's the last one on the first page.
I should stop posting too fast!

Sorry to bother you about it but: Mister Epic, is your encode going to be done somewhat soon?
Oh yeah! Sorry about that delay. I have a lot of studying to do these days. I'm gonna start the upload Friday morning. EDIT: And why did you delete your post? I think it was appropriate.

Mister Epic, the HD encode looks stunning. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
Thanks for the feedback! My next HD encodes will use those filters I've used in this encode.

These mistakes can be corrected easily by any editor here. Thanks for pointing that out! Apparently I suck at describing movies. :P

i found a couple of versions of mplayer for mac that seem pretty abandoned and unsupported. neither of them would even open the movie, though i didn't check any other movies with them, so maybe they're just broken entirely. i think they were this one (updated in 2005!) and this one (updated in 2010 apparently, but oddly only mentioning OS X 10.5 (10.6 was released in 2009). anyway, i just tried opening it again and it died right away). if there's a working mplayer for mac, i haven't found it
You can use VLC, since I've changed my way to encode. My encodes work now.

I've reset the obsolescence of the other run.
Thanks! Can any publisher remove obsoletions, or you could do it because you're the senior publisher? ---- I'm sorry for all the mistakes I've done in this publication. Next time, I should pay a lot more attention to the submission text.

There seems to be an error. This run obsoletes the other Earthbound run.
Damn! I just saw that it had to be published alongside the current run! I don't see how I can remove the obsoletion. Is this mistake fixable?

The encode will probably be live tonight tomorrow, until then, be patient, or get the ROM and the movie file. I can't belive it took 8 hours to encode this one.

(Post #200) HD encode Playlist Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 I have a special request for the one who's gonna publish this submission. Please include the link to the first part. Those annotations aren't there for nothing. What do you think of the use of HQ4X+HQ2X? Does the movie look prettier since I use these filters?

So go ahead with the encode. I can't dump the AVI anyway.

I have an encode in progress already. And good luck improving the screenshot. This game is codec poison at the best of times.
Yeah. The first time I've dumped the video, it was broken. I see you're encoding, so I'll simply give you a screenshot. EDIT: I see why the one you gave us was bad looking, it was automatically streched by Gens. A screenshot made from the AVI wouldn't be a bad idea, but it seems I can't dump an AVI from this game.

On a side note, this would be a nice TAS to see a 30fps blended HQx HD encode made for. Mister Epic, if you get the spare time, would you be able to generate one? Be sure to apply the HQx filtering before the frame blending, if you do decide to do this. :3
That's what I did for my Magnetica TAS HD encode. The frame blending happens last. And that's what I will do for this one as well. I will apply HQ3X and HQ2X this time. I will do it after I've uploaded the SD encode. EDIT Archive page Video file (MP4, 22.5 MB) The filtered HD encode will come up later.

On my side, I do the HD encodes like Flygon does, but since we found a way to use HQ<digit>X filters in AviSynth, I'm using them to make my encodes look better and less pixelated. But it makes bigger files.

The answer's obvious Link to video The game's Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing and it's only for PC. And Action 52.

Wouldn't the sequence be changed by introducing the next colour earlier or later? Or by starting the game at a different frame/with different values in memory?
I found out that the sequence coming from out the screen can be manipulated in-game, by a simple rerecord and/or shooting a marble in different places. But I will be more focusing on the cannon's load sequence, since I found a really easy way to manipulate the incoming marbles. But it's too hard to explain and does not involve hacking.

I've found a way to manipulate luck!!!!! So I'm gonna redo the whole TAS using the luck manipulating method I found!
