"Standard" seems to be a pretty good word for which people are used to, right? How about we use this? Just take off "Definition" from "SD".

AVI dumping this game crashes Gens at frame 84.
Exactly what happens for me as well. And also, why is it labeled as a Genesis game while it's a 32X game? (I know the 32X is an add-on for the Genesis.)

On vit bien là-bas. ----

You're 3 months late, or 9 months early. It depends if you see your glass half-empty or half-full. Don't worry thought, I've already submitted something too early. No

I've always said "enlarged encode to work around lack of proper scaling options in streaming sites' players", but that's rather verbose. "Oversized encode" or "unnecessarily large encode" works for me. Those big encodes have a number of problems associated with them, causing me to dislike their existence.
I'd stop making HD encodes (except for N64 3D games) once YouTube (and Dailymotion, as a bonus) supports point-resizing. I hope this happens soon.

Je me souviens d'un autre québecois sur TASVideos, ZeXr0. Malheureusement, il y a plusieurs mois, il est mort en raison de complications en lien avec la transplantation cardiaque qu'il a eue 2 jours avant sa mort.

Btw, this is pretty much what I referred to when talking about flicker-optimized AviSynth script, but as I haven't tried it yet I don't know how it would look as a result (I think it might produce a slight interlacing artifact that way due to non-uniform sprite brightness), but it would retain better fluidity than both 20 and 24 fps, and a clear reference to proper flickering as well by alternating between 33% and 66% sprite opacity during such segments (as opposed to 50% the entire flicker time).
I'd love to see this. If anyone can code an AviSynth function that does that, it would be appreciated. I'd like to try, but I don't even know how to loop through groups of 2 or 4 frames in a clip. If someone can explain me this, I would make the function.

Explain your avatar. Tell us who/what is on it. You can tell pretty much anything about it. About mine, it's Pac-Man. There's nothing more to say about it.

If the game runs at 60 fps and the video is encoded at eg. 24 fps (which is not divisible by 60), does that mean that frames are being simply dropped at irregular intervals? Doesn't this cause jittering motion?
That's exactly my problem with 24 fps. I'll be encoding the same part of a TAS at 20, 24, 30 and 60 fps, for comparison. I'll probably make a new thread about this.

But I hate encoding in 24 fps. It makes the video play like **** even without being uploaded to any streaming site, and I find it hard to see because of this. I guess I'll try encoding at the game's native FPS, and them shove it into YouTube, just to see. I'll also try SDA's idea of 20 fps. EDIT: It's not my computer. It can play 60 fps HD videos without any problem.

The encode is here. Watch it on RadioKJ, YouTube or Dailymotion. Download it (3.27 MB) Alternate link Get the SRT subtitles file

Takes me back when I joined the crew as an encoder. I think my 2nd HD encode was on this game, and Sonikkustar even saw me encoding this. I'm encoding this. Also, there are commentary subtitles in the FM2 file, so I'm also making an SRT file for subtitles out of this. It will be joined in my encodes.

So yeah, so here are details about my desync (by the way, I've tried on my Windows 7 x64 PC and my Windows XP x86 VM). After the first reset, Yoshi goes to the 2nd stage in the cave world (or something like that) and then it just jumps around without advancing at all while throwing its tongue into random places, until it jumps into a giant monster, and it dies. I've deleted the EEP before AND/OR during the movie playback, before the first reset.

<MisterEpic> 320x240 for SD and 640x480 for YT. That's a plan. <mg_w_bulletholes> YT? Is that. . . <mg_w_bulletholes> Yoshi's Tory?

I'd like to encode and publish this, but I've got an issue. I got the right ROM, and I got the emulator from the submission's text. I have the plugins and I've configured them exactly like in this thread. I've tried running this in Windows XP 32-Bit and in Windows 7 64-Bit, and no matter what, it won't get past the Nintendo logo. I mean, it appears, I hear the Yoshis, but after it disappears, nothing else happens. Any way to get through this?

It's all about the laziness Warp. I've used to have a crapload of useless stuff on my desktop before I totally wiped it out until there's nothing on it. Now I don't even want to put something on my pretty desktop now, unless it becomes necessary. My laptop's desktop is still full of crap thought. I almost never use it anyway, but next time I use it, I'll clean this one as well.

Is there any chance I could get a link to a prepatched version of the romhack? I can't seem to patch the rom correctly, and I prefer to watch SNES TASs from the emulator, rather than an encode.
What I did when encoding SNES hacks is simple. I renamed the IPS file to the same name as the ROM, and them I've put it in the same folder the ROM. After this, SNES9x automatically loaded the game with the hack. Did you try this?

I'm currently working on the official encodes. I'll do anything to make sure it has sound in it. Sorry, but I give up.

Yes vote from me. I love how the losing team couldn't do a single thing at all! Pretty funny!
