Good evening, everyone. GamesFan2000 here, notable for absolutely nothing. We've come here to witness an improvement to the greatest TAS to never win the TAS of the Year award (imagine finding the holy grail of SM64 only to get bopped by Mario Kart 64). The major timesave comes from the latest scientific breakthrough in yeeting yourself, used to great effect on BitS. Of course, it's Mario 64, so I'm contractually obligated to give this a yes vote.

Good afternoon, fellow tool-assisted Pokemon trainers. I'm GamesFan2000, a trainer with absolutely squat in terms of notability. It's with heavy hearts that today we mourn the death of the Squirtle-Clefable-Tauros route. Eight days after it revolutionized the Red/Blue TAS meta forever, it has been mercifully put down in favor of the Wartortle-Tauros route. So swift was Clefable's demise that the previous submission wasn't even claimed by a judge. It's sad that the TAS that broke all of our preconceptions about the Gen 1 meta will never claim its rightful place as a published run on this website, but the beat goes on, and this TAS is a worthy successor. A heartbreaking but nonetheless deserved yes vote.

Salutations, fellow tool-assisted Pokemon trainers! I'm GamesFan2000, and I'm just a random trainer that you probably didn't even battle. That aside, for the first time in a long while, we've got a new route for Red and Blue! The tried, true and tested Nidoking route has finally been obsoleted! Reading the submission notes, I'm intrigued by the fact that you started this by proving that the Werster strategy of riding Blastoise through thick and thin was faster than the Nidoking route, a route created by RTA runners specifically to gain an advantage over Werster. But, alas, we instead get a mix of FireRed/LeafGreen inspiration and a completely new idea for this TAS. We switch from Squirtle to the adorable Clefable in Mt. Moon, and then to the mighty Tauros in the Safari Zone (those who TAS the Gen 1 remakes might want to take note). For so long now, we've believed that Nidoking was the final solution, but the door has been blown wide open now. A whole-hearted yes vote for breaking the mold with something different and faster!

Good morning fellow bananas. I AM THE GAMESFAN2000! Not that anyone cares, I am merely a plebian who loves watching TAS runs. In this new TAS of the legendary SNES classic Dong Country, the holy trinity of Dong, Ding, and Rang give the bird to science itself and make it to Crang's house in a minute and three seconds. I always love these ACE showcases, because it's hilarious when the game is forced to do a smart person's bidding. I am contractually required to give this one a yes vote.

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night, ladies, gentlemen, helicopters and TASbots! I am being GamesFan2000, important I am not being (WHY IS FAWFUL NOT IN SMASH ULTIMATE?!). What is important is that this shiny new Smash 64 TAS has graced our computers, phones, tablets, TV's, or whatever we're watching this on. The last time we got something in this particular branch was...let me check...THIRTEEN YEARS AGO?! I wasn't even old enough to have my own internet accounts back then! I won't spoil anything, but it most certainly hits it out of the park in terms of entertainment. I have to say yes to this.

I'm a little bit confused about the judging situation regarding this TAS. This was claimed almost immediately by one of the judges, but then it reverted to being unclaimed a couple days ago, and now adelikat has claimed it. No pressure, but what happened?

Super Mario Bros. is a game where white men can and must jump across death pits to save a princess. So, of course, HappyLee and his entourage decided to see how sparsely they can use the jump button while still completing the game. But first, we must explain parallel universes...wait a minute, wrong Mario game. From a technical perspective, this TAS is ridiculous. Literally every trick you know of and a dozen that you didn't know is used to the fullest extent in the name of shaving off A-presses. Forget parallel universes, how about DIFFERENT TYPES OF GRAVITY?! Who the hell would've thought that Super Mario Bros., a game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, had different types of gravity for specific situations that could be abused for our benefit? Not to mention all of the Shadow Realm shenanigans involving Koopas and Buzzy Beetles walking through walls and on thin air, and, most bizarrely, Mario casting a spell on a Spiny to turn it into a Koopa, among other things. All of this comes packaged nicely with HL's classic brand of entertainment. In conclusion, shut up and take my Yes vote.

I really don't know what to say. This TAS is excellent in every aspect. This goes without saying, but I have to give this a yes.

More like Glitchglitch Kingdom, am I right? Yes vote for ripping this game in half.

I'm going to say yes. While 2 player is indeed faster and similar to this, the main RTA category is 1 player, so I think this should be accepted. And there's also the fact that Super C has a 1 player TAS published, so there's a precedent for this.

Jesus Christ! Masterjun, you are a madman! You managed to save more than two seconds off the previous TGM2+ TAS AND get all gold medals on top of that, something the previous TAS didn't do. An easy yes vote.

An excellent TAS of the game that essentially created modern speedrunning. An easy yes vote.

What is the point of this? If we're not allowed to use the optimal cannon route, then just don't use the cannons at all. No cannons makes more sense since it allows for more gameplay without being arbitrary. I'm voting no on this one.

WAT?! I have no clue what the hell you're doing, and I absolutely love it! Almost a full minute worth of improvements on a game that was already extremely well optimized because Simon somehow found a way to bend reality to his will. Instant yes vote, and I hope this run gets the star it deserves.

It was inevitable that a TAS of the new any% route was in order. This is the textbook definition of what this site stands for. A run with absurd luck manipulation, abuse of the game's code in ways not intended, strategies that require multiple doctorates to even understand, and all of this performed at a level beyond human capabilities. All of this with an amazing submission that goes into extreme detail to explain the goings on. To simplify, homerfunky, I have no choice but to give you a yes vote, because this obliterates the requirements needed to make the Stars tier and might wind up being the TAS of 2020 when all is said and done.

The idea of a maximum lives run of any Mario game with a specific trick to get lives quickly isn't interesting enough on its own for this to be entertaining. The Koopa Shell trick is well-known to the larger gaming community and has been for decades. Voting no.

An extremely easy yes vote. CTR is up there with Mario Kart DS as far as having the highest skill ceiling in any kart racing game. It was also fun seeing some of the tracks get destroyed with big shortcuts.

I'm voting yes for this particular run, but that's not the point of this comment. When it comes to the old arcade classics like this one, I like thinking about how to optimize the score across the entire course of the game. Since this version of Ms. Pac-Man has a defined end to it, I would love it if you decided to do a run where you went for a theoretically perfect score.

In terms of pushing a game as far as it can go, this TAS literally did just that. I don't care that there's nothing to watch, I'm impressed that this is even possible to begin with. And, as one other person has said, it's hilarious to think about. Yes vote.

I'm actually going to vote no on this because there's another submission of this category that's faster.

Welcome to this episode of F***ING SUPER METROID IN HALF! Today: Sniq uses the new glitches and techniques found in recent years to obliterate the 100% category. Take my yes vote and, as the late George Carlin once said: GET THE F*** OUTTA HERE!

It seems inflating to have 7+ runs of the same game, but at the same time the goals are not arbitrary or close enough to the same. This one uses a completely different character and moveset. Too bad we can't make sub folders on the main page. But I vote for non-obsoletion.
That's the thing with games that have numerous possibilities for branches. You really have to make sure that they give a unique experience from the standard runs while still being entertaining. Because the Knuckles run is different from this run, I also say that this should be kept separate.
