I arrived late, sadly, but yes. I approve of the TAS though I saw this after seeing the 2 Sonic 3K TASes by marzojr and Aglar so I was nearly expecting the same bit in this TAS as those two. It was bit interesting despite a few similarities to the Sonic TASes. Nice work to the Authors! Late Yes Vote.

This was unexpectingly entertaining to watch! Also Tails! <3 The quirks didn't wear and made me laugh frequently. I saw the first demo that you had posted in the Sonic 2 thread and was curious about how this would look. This was finely done. Voting Yes!

I might not be skilled in the SM64 department, but I'll give this a shot!

So here are some videos of potential ideas for World 3-5... Flagpole power-up glitch: Link to video Wall-clip: Link to video The Flagpole Power-Up glitch can also be used in another level, but I will have to remember what it was.

I'm sorry, but I wasn't too entertained with this run either... As others have said ahead of me, the autoscrollers weren't entertaining. Not only that, but the run is still very suboptimal and I know of yet another improvement that was missed in this run. In World 3-5, you didn't have to activate any of the switches after getting the first two Star Coins. You could just clip through the wall where Star Coin #3 is and collect it, then go to the goal. Also you could easily finish off the Top bosses with Boomerang Toad, thus saving some time per fight. There were more things to list, but I'd rather not spend all day listing them all. Voting no on grounds of entertainment and suboptimality.

For me, it had all started with these movies: Genesis Streets of Rage 2 (USA) in 30:42.82 by SprintGod SNES Donkey Kong Country (USA) in 24:23.88 by Arnethegreat SNES Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA) in 1:06:46.28 by Genisto GBC Pokémon: Yellow Version (USA) in 02:06.28 by gia I was always curious at the time of seeing them. Wondering how did they do the things that they did and how amazing it was. Once I found the link to TASVideos, I was browsing the numerous different runs of my favorite games. From Pokémon, to Mario; Sonic to Fire Emblem. I then came to the knowledge of the re-recording emulators used to make these movies and used them fun while playing back my favorite TASes. Eventually, I wanted to make a TAS or so of my own. And that led me to join the site officially.

I don't know if it's just me, but the symbols almost blend in with the background which makes it hard to see.

Honestly, I think that this thread should be closed now as it seems that we have our solution now.

In regards to the spin dash at the end, I tried to jump but it deemed to be slower...unless I've done completely wrong. I did expect mistakes to be present during the preliminary testing. With the final boss fight, I have been trying to get the timing as much as I could. Sadly, most of them didn't work out as I thought. I was using the lua HUD script by marzojr from start to finish. That was how I was able to notice the speed drop when I went for the jump after spin dash at the end. I didn't know that using Controller 2 also affected the menus. Something else that I have learned through this. Either way, thank you for the critique.

I have finally gotten around to doing this and personally, I feel partially pleased with this, but also partially unsure about it. What do you guys think of this...? Encode: Link to video User movie #17898360884919717

I dunno about having Gyakuten Saiban 1-3 (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney; Justice for All; Trials and Tribulations), Gyakuten Kenji series (Ace Attorney Investigations Miles Edgeworth/Prosecutor's Path), and Gyakuten Saiban 4 (Apollo Justice) all played at once... The first issue would be with Gyakuten Kenji 2 [AAI2: Prosecutor's Path, the English Translation's title] and the other games due to that game being released only in Japan and the other games being in English. Second issue involves presenting evidence during trials as well as during the Psyche-lock bits. When handling one section of, say, JfA's Psyche-lock segment and you were in a rebuttal in AAI and presented the wrong evidence there. It can become a bit chaotic. Don't get me wrong! I'd be interested in seeing it happen, but I'm just not sure about how it would work. Just my little opinion on the multiple inputs idea. Please don't let my rambles discourage you from working on this!

If you mean the Microphone function in the emulator, I have tried with Super Princess Peach, namely the underwater sections, and it works fine.

What all places do you mean? As for that one spot, i could try that, but I'm not exactly sure that it will change anything. Now at 10:01 in encode, I did try at that spot before, but wouldn't get enough speed/height to land it had I changed direction at any point.

I shall keep that in mind, thanks marzo! Would a zipless run be well received and a good goal choice for Sonic 2/2K?

Quite a nifty test run, WST. Is there any sort of lua or anything to keep track of Sonic's speed and positioning? I might want to mess with this game someday.

At last, Shantae arrives to TASVideos! I took a look at the run and I absolutely loved it! While I did favorite everything in it, my most favorite was the playaround as you waited for the transitioning. Clear Yes vote!

Not even going to bother with this one... It breaks site rules, goal is arbitrary (if there even is one...), and I'm pretty sure that optimization is questionable.

I have a question why not retreat glitch? :(
I believe that was answered in the post above you. @jlun2: For your answer to #3, you may be thinking about Golden Sun: The Lost Age (Part 2). The second game was submitted at least once or twice and both were rejected due to optimization issues, if memory serves.
