I agree with Guga. It is indeed very strange for random desyncs to occur with VBA. Despite that I use an older version of VBA (VBA-rr v22), I rarely ever have them. Although... there is another instance where it might possibly occur. On of said instance involving the movie inputs not matching up. It could also be frame rules involved and causing the game and the movie to not agree at the aforementioned point. The only times when I had dealt with a dsync on a movie of mine was when i was splicing input from a previous WIP to the final where the RNG changes and causes a desync.

If it's like other emulators, then I would say that it does happen at the part where you first applied the codes since at that point, it would be running as if the codes never existed at all.

Wow! I hadn't a clue that you could even do that at all! This will indeed save quite a bit of time, so thank you very kindly for finding that Mkdasher!

To N. Harmonik:
Normally it would be a bit faster when you have an attack that hits both of the opposing Pokémon, but not the case early game and that Double Battle in general has 2 Plusle and Minun which both have the habit of using Helping Hand thus taking up more time than saving it.

To Toothache:
The instances when the text was slowed were for manipulation purposes.

To answer and respond to some of the comments:
For FractalFusion:
- I spoke to Mom from the front with the thought process of that being faster by not having the sprite turn around when spoken to.
- I spoke to the Devon Corp. NPC that gets his goods stolen in that manner for the same reason as above. Both instances will be rectified in the final.
- I wasn't sure exactly how to make a properly clean OW manipulation. The main tricky ones were the trainers by the Rusturf Tunnel entrance (Rustboro side) along with the Cool Trainers from Route 121 and Aroma Lady in Route 103.
- I tried to get it to miss, but it seemed to always hit...
- The only other instance when that seems to be possible is when at low enough health where the AI knows that it will be able to KO the player's Pokémon. That one time when it didn't happen was against Drake, though it was unfortunate due to not having the chance to restore Blizzard with Max Ether nor use an X-Attack...
- At that point with Glacia after Phoebe, Earthquake was at 2 PP left. Glalie's Light Screen manipulation could be an option, but I still need a turn to burn for the X-Attack which still won't deal with the other Pokémon.
- As explained above, Hyper Beam didn't want to miss and it would've cost me a bit more so healing with the last Hyper Potion to take the hit. Though the idea of using Blizzard for the Freeze was tempting.
To Mothrayas:
The test run had a bit my hard trying efforts, although there were a few times where I had let certain things go by due to it being a test and seeing what could be done. To test different ideas that come to mind. The main reason for even trying at a run for the game is mostly to test myself to see if I really could handle something like this... and on my own no less...!
---
I shall frequently post WIPs to see where it stands before proceeding onwards.

I'm not 100% sure if this would go here, but here goes a test run for Emerald main game.

VBM: Test Run
There were a few mistakes made throughout the run which will be fixed. Those mistakes being the following:
- In Route 110, I should've battled the PokéFan trainers separately for 2 single battles instead of at one time via Double Battle.
- In Mt. Pyre, I should've switched the order of my Party so that Castform was the second in line to avoid the extra level ups for Abra and to make the battles go a lot easier.
- In certain buildings and caves (namely Sky Tower), running is faster than biking into the entrance/exit.
- Catching Marill in Route 104 is faster than catching both Poochyena and Tentacool since it gets Strength, Rock Smash, Dive and Waterfall. With that knowledge, I should also catch either a Taillow or Swablu for Flying due to having a shorter cry than Tropius.
Do you think that a main game run would actually be worth pursuing? Also the possible chances of this even being accepted is uncertain. I want to know your opinions.

Having TAS'd the Battle Pike, Battle Pyramid, and Battle Factory myself... I can say that you couldn't be more wrong about the "not hard at all" statement. The RNG works a bit differently in the Battle Frontier. Your first turn manipulation has to be done before the battle starts and in the case of the Battle Factory, everything has to be done in advance...

The only problem with that is that is that the ones saying that their are improvements either hasn't/won't touch the game to even give it a try or do not factor in the game's frame rules, which runs at the very start of the game.
Note: I'm not trying to slander anyone. The ones that dislike the game due to being a port said so already themselves so I don't need to add more to that and the ones that are mentioning the improvements possibly aren't aware of the frame rules for the game.

I was not trying to attack anyone, but from the day that I first submitted this one until today, I have been feeling my emotions stirring wildly and leaving me with great uncertainty. My reason for saying what I said was because inside, it felt as if I was being constantly pushed down and discouraged, that I needed to defend myself somehow. I do admit that it did come up wrong and I should've been more careful on what I said. I really feel now that submitting this run was a very terrible idea as all I ended up doing was causing problems... For those that I have attacked or have been obnoxious to, I am deeply sorry!
If only I was truly given the time and chance to implement the mentioned improvements, then maybe I would've "slightly" changed some people's minds. Either way, I am working at adding more of the ideas and improvements mentioned until there is no more room for doubts and once again everyone, I'm very sorry for my immature behavior during the time of submission up to today.

Hold on a moment and let me get this straight. You were saying before that just because the run doesn't make use of glitches that it's no good.. Clearly, that is your standard for judging this run and that you're sticking with it. In other words, No Glitches = Not Entertaining.. Why don't you try the game out for yourself to see if all of your precious glitches still work in this version... If they all do work, then I'll accept that my run is to be marked as one of the most non entertaining and worst runs that has hit the workbench.

I honestly have been finding the glitch runs for Pokémon kind of interesting. The one before was really nice and this one is no exception!

I may take up that project once done with my primary one, which is Sonic Advance "100%". Though we still have to find a definitive meaning for SMA's "100%" TAS goal.

I hate to come out as a whiner, but it seems to me as if a bit of the votes are based on the game being a port of an older game... I'm pretty sure that it says if you found the "Movie" entertaining. Not do you think this port is good or bad. Not all ports are the same and it isn't exactly fair to mark them all as such.
...I'm sorry, but that's how I am feeling about it.

1. I'm pretty sure that the game is Multi-6, meaning it should work no matter the region of ROM so long as the default language is to English.
2. That's a good thing.
3. The game's Story is supposed to be based on the the events in the anime. With the regular duels, he's using a Armed Samurai Ben Kei OTK variant, which involves powering up his monsters then attack twice with either Mataza the Zapper or Habayusa Knight. The Turbo Duels portion focuses on Exodia due to the Instant Win condition for having the 5 "Forbidden One" cards in his hand. It makes for ending those other duels in the last chapter instantly without really doing anything due to still having the same hand when the duel restarts.
4. I have no issue with it being in Vault. It made good on its goal for Fastest Time.

Okay, so after watching the rest of the run, I found myself truly entertained! The last chapter with those Riding Duels were especially interesting to me. Now although I do have to agree with a few people in regards to a possible future run that it should use more deck ideas to further increase entertainment value, I'm more than happy with this one here.

At last, this run makes it to the workbench! I recall watching some bits of it on your YouTube channel and greatly enjoyed it! I'll have to watch the whole thing before I decide on my vote.
