I agree that a time attack of Kirby's dream course would be incredibly fun to watch, this is not that kinda game though. This is a normal golf game, and if you've ever played golf (which I do), it's extremely interesting to watch incredible results made. Be sure to watch my movie, I admit, a few holes aren't that funny, cause the wind messed it up, but most are. Also, I've only got past hole 11, I'll move on "tomorrow", but it's 3.25am over here right now :S Also, this is my first time attack ever, so give me a break :P

Hmmm... With SNES, isn't it as easy as using Snes9x' built in avi maker?

This isn't really a doublepost or a bump, more a cry for help :) I have started doing a movie out of this game, and I have so far gotten to hole 4. I have realized that the wind isn't random, but is decided once you start the game. This has given me problems on some holes, but should be avoidable. Hole 3 is what gave me biggest problems so far, I had to do it that way, I couldn't get it further, and the putt freaked me out... In any case, here's the four first holes: http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload8/hiogolf.zip Use the rom with the same name as the smv file. Constructive feedback and critisism appreciated! Edit: Now I've reached hole 12, I got unlucky with the wind on hole 11, and went on forever with trying to pitch in an eagle, I failed :( It just wouldn't get in, no matter the settings. I've updated the zip file with the new movie. Edit 2: The link here is redundant, check the main page in submissions for the full movie.

This Mario 64 run, where did you find it? I'd be glad to see it!

I believe you shouldn't submit movies if you know that you have made mistakes. Save states are to make perfection, right? Then make the movie "perfect" before submitting!

Am I blind or is it impossible to slow down Snes9x? I know about the frame rate stuff, but I can only hasten it, not slow it down. Any tips?

I know that, but I think the speed can be very much increased by doing a rerecordable time attack. But if he wants the speed for some kind of real competition, of course he should do it non-assisted. I'm interested about how fast it's possible to make it though. It would also be interesting to see how fast it's possible to do the game by just running through it without getting 101% btw.

just found another way to save 5-10 seconds in what I find to be the hardest level: Poison Pond. It's extremely risky though. Also, I found a way to get past the last mincer quickly without getting hit on purpose. So that's another few seconds.
That's what rerecordings are for!

It says "Not for movie requests". And I'm from Sweden too, and I got 5 hours sleep due to my mother needing a ride in the morning...

Read the faq, please! And this forum clearly says NO REQUESTS. I also can't believe how you can miss the line: "These are movies of various console games being played extraordinarily using an emulator as a tool to get over humanly limits such as "skill" and "reaction"."

Try to find the fastest way to buy just the craft you need, play several times and compare how long it takes... I wouldn't know actually, I'm no player, just a time attack homie :)

I'm sorry about this redundant post, but I just got the scariest deja vu... WalkerBoh, haven't you written what you just wrote earlier in another thread? If you haven't, I'm scared of myself... I'm going to bed now...

I like the idea very much! Also, I don't care if you don't do the fastest time, when it's a full run. Take your time (ok, don't :) ) and make it the coolest SMW movie ever :D

With full run I originally meant a run the normal way and just defeat the game. But a 100% run (or just the 96 endings (btw, I only got 95, and searched like hell for the 96th, so I've never seen that one...)) would be very cool. And you actually improved it even more? Holy shit... You're a natural talent, and I'm the opposite... Or I just don't have the patience ;)

Is it totally impossible to progress from one game to the next? At least on SNES and NES emulators it's possible to use "normal" saves. It would be interesting to see a run through the entire game despite its slowness... Just one thing, what the hell were they thinking when they remixed the music???

Yeah, that was a great movie! It was more exciting to watch also, nice jumps on the second stage! Go to http://tasvideos.org/, log in, and click submit to submit your movie if you haven't figured out already. Now I'm only waiting for a full run of the game! *nudge*

Hmmm... This is actually something I could try. Nes open golf would maybe suit it better, cause it has simpler physics, but this is the wrong forum section for that. I think I might actually try :) In any case, it would be interesting to watch, VERY interesting!

Don't forget a voice saying "Rated PG-13" so fast you can't even hear what he said at the end...

OK, thanks :) I was a Nintendo kid :) In any case, time attacks on any Sonic games would be fun to watch!

Isn't Sonic on SMS the exact same game as Sonic on MD (it was called Mega drive in the entire world except USA...), with the only difference being the graphics?
