I never wanted this day to really come. The day where I would ultimately had to leave every aspect of the site, firstly by being demoted for negligence (from publisher, I'm now Encoder), and finally by my own choice (from Encoder to member). This site was really special in 2012. Everyday after school, I used literally go directly to my computer, turn it on, and open the IRC of TASVideos to chat with anyone, read what they had to say, and understand the jokes, when my english was barely good enough. When I got promoted to Publisher, I was thrilled! I got to be at the Staff! 1 year full in, 1 year full out, and 1 year full in again: a constant back and forth while my motivation was decaying but suddenly booting up. But now, college has me threading water in this site. Everything else goes perfectly, but it's this site that gets the worse of it. So now, it's time to grow a pair, and finally step aside completely. I want to thank every one of you for making my 2012 tolerable and mostly cheerful, for making my days when I was an active Publisher really laughable, whether in IRC or in the forums. I want to thank to the people that I got to meet in the IRC and I would dare to call my friends: Mothrayas, Nach, even Spikestuff who I had some quarrel long time ago, and any other one whom felt that I was sincerely chatting with. I wish I could have developed this friendship, but now I see that the roads have long forked. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Thanks.

I could edit my last post, but I want to make sure that you read this. If, however, you believe in a higher power, an supra-rational entity, a God, then you could skip those two authors and go to Søren Kierkegaard, and his whole work. His views on anxiety, despair, faith, the Absurd of the universe are mind-blowing. His main works (titles in german) are Entweder – Oder (both parts), Furcht und Zittern, Die Wiederholung and Die Krankheit zum Tode, and they are gonna teach you like everything; how do I know? Because reading him impacted me, and maybe it will impact you too. He writes poetically, his thoughts are sublime. He was very melancholic too. He left his fiancé out of the blue, and Kierkegaard spent his whole life trying to explain to himself why he specifically did it. You will maybe feel connected with him. However, all of the works that I mentioned to you above, were written under pseudonyms (in fact, Entweder – Oder goes like this: it was edited by Victor Eremita, the part I are essays written by A, and in that part there is a section called Seducer's Diary, that it was found by A but written by Johannes; and part II is written by B, or Judge Vilhelm), so in particular, they are not his works, but they are definitely part of his personality, and most likely a way to catharsis. Good luck, I really encourage you to either follow the first advice, or this one.

You are really reaching the depths of despair. I know, I've been saying this for a long time and probably it got tiresome for you, but I really mean it when I say that maybe your last option of salvation is art. And more than any art form, I mean literature, the books. The books have been the only thing that made me look directly into my own situation and improve on and on. I'm not talking about self-help books, they are awful and unrealistic. I'm talking about real philosophy, especially the ones from Germany: Arthur Schopenhauer and Friedrich Nietzsche are the ones that led me through an existential crisis, one that thankfully I came out alive and with joy. "Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung" and "Die Geburt der Tragödie" might be good choice: both are about the world as suffering, both are totally against suicide, but the later is more about embracing this suffering. I really, REALLY, REALLY encourage you to read both (in the order I mentioned them, the second builds up on the first one), and maybe you will come out with some conclusions. And if you think that you get too distracted while reading, then read while listening to white noise. You will have to try it.

Aah, the recurring topic: the meaning of life, whether or not it is meaningless. I remember my introspective journey for this matter. But where I got the best answers was in art. Art as in literature (philosophical essays and novels), films, music... I went through Arthur Schopenhauer (he taught me the power and impact of art in our lives), Friedrich Nietzsche, Albert Camus and Søren Kierkegaard; each leaving an overwhelming impact and worked their way in my psyche. As you say that you are back to spending 24/7 in the computer, I recomend you to spend some hours in art, specifically philosophy, and more specifically these authors, because they tell you that life is full of suffering (Schopenhauer says that suffering is the only thing in life [which I really disagree]) and the Absurd is everywhere, everytime. But there is also worth in it, there is joy, there is revolt and rebellion, there is faith in the absolute...

I might sound stupid, but have you tried to read philosophical novels? Specifically, I would recommend you to read "Der Steppenwolf" by Hermann Hesse, since it's about someone that feels isolated from everyone around him. I tell you this because sometimes feeling connected with a character can put you in a thoughtful state, and in such a way, find a solution about it. (And since you are german, you will be able to read it on original language, and that's plain amazing) EDIT: I also add Nietzsche and his Also sprach Zarathustra: you might feel very related to his ideals and be enlightened by him, or just plain hate him; either way, you will gain knowledge and understanding of your world, and so on, more options.

That's weird understanding of "implying". I post in the thread 2015-08-01 that I'll handle it, a week later you just claim it. So who's snipping?
...Me. I never said you snipped it...

Do you by any chance think it's me who snipped it?
I thought it was implied that I did it, not you.

If you know a way to inform other publishers one's already working on something not yet accepted, that's better than posting publicly, let me know.
Other than outright snipping, no, I don't see a better way.
