I wouldn't mind seeing it, but it isn't fun when every shot kills something right at the border. Let enemies at least get on the screen first so that there is more appreciation of what you're doing.

Don't know if anyone is still checking this, but I just now watched the run. It looked very good, but I had a question. In Hamburgler's Hideout 1, at the beginning, there are those floating blocks you have to throw in the lava in order to proceed. They move very slowly and you end up just dancing around on them trying to be different while waiting to get to the end. About half way through the stage, there is an elevated platform that have things that drop lava onto it. You currently throw the floating block, while jumping over the lava, land on it, and eventually ride below this platform. My question is: Would it be faster to throw the block out, grab the other floating block, run and jump onto the 1st block, jump onto the platform halfway through, run across, jump and throw the 2nd block, land on it, and perhaps save time?

Just checking in to see how this run is going. Any progress?

I "beat" it when I was much younger. As far as I remember, it just loops back to the first stage after level 40 or so. I'd have to check to make sure. EDIT: well, guess my memory is shot. GameFAQs has two FAQs that list stages 1-15, and 4 bonus stages. Could have sworn it took longer than that.

I'm quite interested in the run, I understand what you're talking about, and I'm watching the WIPs. The problem is you're playing the game at a level so far above my abilities that there doesn't appear to be anything wrong enough that I can spot it.

I know that you said "every shot that needed to connect did so", but in watching the boss fights, it seems like there are many shots that don't connect at all. If that means they aren't needed, they need to be taken out. If it is some form of luck manipulation involving the boss, you should say so. As it is now, it just looks sloppy.

I'm going to assume it is the pause/break key. it's above the arrows and the insert/delete/home/end/etc keys. set of 3 keys includes print screen, scroll lock, and pause.

Well, since you won't be reading this anymore, it doesn't matter...but isn't that a bit selfish of you to get mad at those of us who are reading this topic because we won't take time out of OUR lives to do something that YOU could do just as quickly? Seriously, you aren't the only person in the world. If you had asked for help on something NEW, perhaps you would have recieved a downpour of help. seriously, that's just so...childish and selfish.

There is no doubt in my mind that this deserves a yes vote. It does everything it aims to accomplish is such a short amount of time it is stunning.

To add a couple of entries to the list, how about Shaman King - Master of Spirits (plays like a castlevania game sorta) Disney's Magical Quest 1, 2, & 3 (1 is like the SNES version) Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland Kuru Kuru Kururin Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

If it was a poll, you'd get my votes for Soul Blazer and Terranigma. They are both very good games (I consider Illusion of Gaia to be the weakest game in the trilogy). Good luck with whatever you pursue. Hopefully someone else will pick up the daunting task that is Earthbound.

The new movie desyncs for me after the Frankystein Mark II battle as well. Nothing seems to help this problem. CRC of the ROM checks out, and the settings are as they should be.

The wild warp really isn't much different than the reset codes for metroid or zelda. I don't see anything wrong with using it. I do think that most people would enjoy the run more if it wasn't used, simply because the leveling wouldn't seem quite so bad. Planning routes would probably be way worse though. I do hope you eventually do a warpless route through the game.

Congrats on getting your Crystalis run accepted. It should make it easier for your next run to make it in.

The GBC version is far easier to play. No enemies are immune to weapons. They may be weaker to some, but you can kill everything with each weapon. Honestly, I don't like the GBC game at all, so I wouldn't be nearly as interested in it as I would be in a non-warp version of the NES game.

Honestly, I was surprised you never submitted the original completed version. It was well done...and even if it wasn't accepted, it would help with acception with the new version, when it is finished.

I have faith that you will. No hurry. With all the leveling up, it will have an uphill climb to get accepted anyways.

Hmmm, I didn't realize there was a GB emulator with recording capabilities. I'll have to get myself a copy of that.

You said that BA can spawn at the upper left, correct? Where does BB spawn? If BB spawns at the intersection, then a pattern of BA, BB, F4/F5, B9, BB, BA, etc might be easier on felxibility because regardless of which way the top bug moves, you'll be near a flower to kill. If BB spawns off of the intersection though, it is almost certainly slower, and the current plan is probably the best, even though it is a tight loop.

Yeah, the swamp spawns are the most...picky. While your leveling on the ice zombies is probably the longest and most boring place in the game, I agree that it is by far the best place to do that. Thinking ahead to after you finish this run. Any considerations of making a non-warp run some time in the future? Obviously it will be far slower, but leveling up might not be quite as tedious looking.

Well, I'm just about to start watching your run. I'm a bit later than other people, so I'm not sure I'll have much more to add to the conversation at this point...if I do, I'll edit this to reflect it.
