Very entertaining. Few surprises and was fun to watch. Yes vote. Please use the screen shot just after collecting hookshot where it looks like Link is diving into the chest. So funny and well timed pause from the author to let that visual linger for a moment.

nymx, a lot of the flame is coming from the lack of information in the submission text and it has been noted by a few others here. It is not about the game itself, it is how it was brought to the table with nearly no information. If you were to take the time and make a proper submission text, I am sure most of this would stop. This can be done by properly crediting everyone who was involved in making this tas, why and where the 90 seconds of improvement you believe are present, and an explanation on why the route takes the past that is does. Just mention anything That COULD be relevant.

This may seem like shots fired, but I think most people here are being too critical for the situation. This game has been chewed up and spit out so many times over the years because it is such a great game. But I believe that regular viewers are either burnt out on this game or have their expectations too high. I personally like this category as it shows more of the game off, but 100% items and 100% map together would make for a better tas as it would show the game in its entirety... depending on if oob is used o not. I dont see too many glaring issues. The rng could be manipulated a bit better to have drops that are wanted, but it was only in a few locations. Some talk about going too far into a room rather than immediately turning around I only saw 2-3 times and each time I saw justification for it, better ball speed or better space jump speed. I also see a bunch of "it is not optimized" but with nothing to point out. That is not constructive or a question as to why the author did as they did to get an explanation of some kind. My point is if anyone is going to throw out some criticism, at least let it have a purpose rather than just blatantly throwing out hate and negativity. As for the other issues of copy and paste other authors work is an issue for the admins. I cant say anything about that other than my opinion and believe it should be rejected on that alone. As far as entertainment, I do feel like it could be a valid category. I enjoyed it as I was watching the map in a bunch of spots to where as during other categories I never look at the map at any point unless oob is used. That alone give the average viewer more to watch for other than the precise movements that only an experienced viewer/player would see. I give this a meh vote. I would easily given it yes vote but I cant overlook the copyright issue present.

At the end of Hunter Stage 2, would it not be faster to hit the last enemy with wheel as it comes out faster and kills instantaneously? I know you can shot the mine earlier but it is not an instant kill. Is their a difference in time? This is a great display of knowledge on all front of this game. Lots of subtle tec I have not seen before and is really is awesome. I also like how you troll the game in some areas... as if the entire tas is not a troll to the game in the first place...

Might not be the best place to ask, but would anyone be willing to make a "no glitch" TAS? Shield dashing I am not sure if that could be counted as a glitch, but a TAS where the game is played fully as the developers intended. Regardless, This was a rather fun watch.

A few questions: What are the measures to be sure that the pro content stays private? By dividing the views up for and keeping the top tier stuff away from the public, how does that promote the community to converse and help improve and come up with new strats?

Mayor K beat me to it. If the fire was kept then I give this an easy yes vote. I would like to say that your stage 4 puts mine to shame...

This was rather cool. Overhead stages were no optimal, player was moving using angles but did not rotate the camera to steer in the proper direction (walk in a strait line). This is not alot of time lost due to this but still something worth noting for any future attempts. Fun watch = YES vote PS: Thanks feos

It will still come down to personal preference. But it would be nice if TASVideos did make an official ruling on it as they keep it really vague. But I kinda like that they keep it vague so people can have fun with the idea on their own like the CV minimalist tas did.

So collecting weapon pods would be out, so they should be done low% style? My personal thought on it is not killing anything that can kill the player. I know everyone has their own opinion, but it really does come down this one simple thing: If you think it should be done a different way, do it yourself. Till then, accept what other people put their hard work into for your entertainment and dont try and bring them down.

I am in favor of the runners ideas, no matter what they set the goal as. I am opposed to others not accepting the runners ideas and trying to impose other ideas on them.

Are weapon pods alive?

Being a pacifist is about not killing life. Weapon pods are not alive. I dont see the issue with killing something that is not alive. Weapon pods, and in CV games candles, are the runners self limitations. I have not seen this yet as prolly wont till an encode is made. So I can only ask questions. Does the tas damage any enemy that does not need to be? Does the tas kill anything that does not hinder forward progression? Look at the Contra pacifist tas discussion (page 2) and tas itself:

Should we also care about enemies who jump into bottomless pits in stage 1? How about those who get scrolled offscreen in stage 3? We know getting scrolled means certain death in that stage. What about item carriers and stuff like spiky walls in stage 6—should we save those? What if saving enemies in stages 2 and 4 from being caught in the explosions cost several seconds per screen, increasing total time of the TAS by minutes? What if we need to "sacrifice" an enemy or two so that more could survive? That's a completely plausible scenario if you really want to push it that far with the pacifism idea. I think it's not as important to truly live up to some fun idealistic concept such as being pacifist in a shooter, as it is important to make a movie that is fun to produce and, most certainly, fun to watch. It may be closer to the any% that way, but if it means I won't have to wait for meddling enemies to escape with their lives every time, that's totally fine by me.
Still killed shot extra pods and had many on screen deaths not attributed to the player directly. Why does this seem to come up every time? If the player does not kill enemies unnecessarily, what does it matter? Let me see if I understand your thoughts on what a pacifist run should be. Kill nothing. Well, good luck beating the first boss in any stage.

Right, but it is right a the top "Vote: Did you find this movie entertaining? (Vote after watching!)" Nothing wrong with pointing out the other things as well, but at least vote for what it is meant for.

Voting is to determine if it was entertaining. Your voting on something irrelevant. That said, a bunch of people seem to vote for other reasons other than entertainment. So please dont think I am singling you out.
