I have burned so many hours on both Across and Elma, yet I am not very skilled at it at all. I remember how fun it was and how frustrating stuff could be. I'd love to see all the WR's crushed in a single segment run. Not sure how much we could decrease the end time of it though since every WR is extreamly optimized as far as I'm concerned. An IRL friend of mine called Deg held plenty of the WR's back in the days. Hope to see a potential WIP soon. Cheers

I like this idea, but is it possible to create longer chains, and combos? Would be more awesome than to see a couple of row-by-row terminations. Good luck with the full production. Looking forward to see it.

Going for a NO-vote on this one. It's not too shabby, but it just doesn't do it for me. Sorry

Seeing the submission for dwangoAC's Epic Pinball "Android" I wonder if PinMAME will be available for re-recording. There are some great tables which would be pretty much awesome to see a TAS of. For example Attack from Mars from Williams/Bally. How much concern would it be to implement re-recording into PinMAME? Can anything concerning the re-recording functions be re-used from the regular MAME and be implemented into PinMAME?

Can you provide more interesting details Sonikkustar? What about that glitch for example? What exactly changes?

Sorry for not keeping you updated. Had to redo a small part cous I found some more optimizers. Right now I'm on vaccation and won't be home until sunday. But its sure looking good, and I'm thinking of releaseing the WIP, because frankly I don't know when I can get around to fix the rest of the run I'm affraid. The snowman boss is a pain for me to manipulate, and I really need the battle to be near perfect, because of saving energy enough to beat the other bosses.

I liked this hack. Nice that they changed the final boss. I think the TAS was well executed. Nothing really to complain about. Giving this one a yes-vote. Thanks.

Is this game easy to hex-edit? If so, you could work on each and every track separately, and just paste it all together when you are done with each and every level. For me it is a hard decision whether or not this run should be published. I most of the time prefer to watch a single segment of the entire game at once, instead of all the tracks separated. A segmented run would be easier for competition though, since players can select what ever track they want to compete on. All in all I think it is an impressive run, and I hope to see more from you either way. Cheers.

Why can't we have direct download links from the workbench posts? For me it's just annoying that the link goes to she same submission info once again. It says " See details at: http://tasvideos.org/2692S.html" for example. Why couldn't there be a direct download saying "For direct download, click here" and link it straight to http://tasvideos.org/submissions/2692.zip This is even more annoying when the site is under heavy load. Please make an addition to automatic direct download from the workbench. Cheers!

Is this a regular speedrun or a re-recorded speedrun? I think there were some flaws in the first part, such as missed(?) jumps, bad manipulation of enemies, and jump forward as whipping? I'm not sure about the game dynamics, but it did look goofy at some places. I like the choise of game though. Seems to differ some compared to the NES version.

I would vote yes on using a code for faster speed. As it states, everything would be much faster, including the computers. I don't see this as an actuall cheat, but rather a difficulty setting. The same goes for Killer instinct for SNES, where you can put in a speed code which then is valid for both players. Makes it harder to pull stuff off, and less viewing time for the same thing. :)

It would be so much awesomeness if someone could write a lua-script to manipulate the snowman so that we can see it's movement before it happens. I have yet to figure out its patterns etc, and beleive me, this boss is the worst bitch in the game so far. I saw something similar in a lua script for super mario bros, where someone had made bot that played all by it self. The script was drawing lines of potential ways depending on movement etc. Can someone please make a bot for this boss? =)

I'm glad to see that this game catch attention once again. Makes me happy. I don't understand why this game has been put aside so much before? It is one of the best titles for the Mega Drive / Genesis ever. :D Anyway. I'm not sure if I want to show you a WIP right now.... Isn't it better to wait for the final product? I promise it won't be much longer now. Just to keep you on the hook I want to share some numbers with you. I only give you the examples to match hotsam's. I might as well share them all, but it's more fun to release little by little. ;) I include the places where I tend to measure stuff, along with the frame number. I think I saw some stuff where I maybe could improve as well. But a run is always due to changes. Enjoy these numbers meanwhile. Sorry for the formatting. Don't have much time to fiddle with it right now. Sorry for late reply. I've been working on this for a long time now. I'm up to the last level, currently fighting the snow man. I reach the encounter sign at 47312 frames. The time is quite good. I can't really find any place where I can optimize right now. I have found MANY glitches and shortcuts. I do intend to release the final product soon.

Really hard to say wether it's going to look better or worse. I think for the most part of this game, its just running without entertainment anyway. The game it self is just boring to watch I think, even though I like to play it. Still great to see that you pushes the limmit further for this game. I love the enthusiasm about it, and I definitely think that you should continue to progress with the game. To answer the question I think it would be more valuable to aim for fastest time, since the run it self does not normally contain much entertainment factors due to the game it self.

Even though I slightly enjoyed the first seconds of this run, I will vote no due to the repeditive game play. Sorry, but I don't think this game will be fun enough though the entire TAS.

I had some issues with it as well. Now I was only able to watch the first part of the movie, so a direct link to the second video stream would be nice, or a download url.

Somewhat riding the wave of retro eh? Looking forward to it though. Mega Man 9 was kick-ass.
