Still I think that the loading scenes should be cut out from the AVI if ePSXe for example get's proper re-recording that is submittable.

Try it your self then. I know for sure when I played Casper. It has alot of loading in it. When I played it on ePSXe last time I accidently hit the frame skip which cut the loading time down to virtually nothing.

Wow! This is cool. I'd love to see real input-re-recording though, instead of GPU/SPU dumps. But still.. Oh.. If someone manage to produce a full run, I my self think that we should cut out the loading parts, since that can differ from computer to computer I suppose. A funny thing is that it only looks like a pure animation, because if you use frame skip the loading goes alot faster! :D I'd love to see runs of Casper the friendly ghost and Super puzzle fighter!

I let my friend borrow my Sega Mega Drive when I was a kid. We played Michal Jackson's Moonwalker an entire evening. When I got back to him the next day, the cartridge would not work. Probably my friend got angry and threw it in the wall, without causing any outer damage to it. I still got that cartridge, allthough I bought a new copy of it two years ago or something like that. Might be fixable, but I haven't checked. I never allowed him to borrow more stuff from me anyways.

Geez... A person in that age should be able to write better than that. But then again. Perhaps this person is not generally interested in watching TV/Movies or use a computer frequently enough to catch alot of words and stuff? But still... Enough words have gotten into swedish, and we can see english phrases every single day by just going out side or switch on the TV. I think we are learning it subliminal. English is taught from the 3rd grade of compulsory school now days. So a swedish person should most likley be able to write, speak and understand english very good, even in that age. :) Edit: Heck... Even my niece sang english songs and could tell what everybody in shrek said in english! She was seven at that time!

Ok. So about how many yes votes would one need in order to get a run published. Personally I'd say around 10 Yes votes or so, because people are not watching all the runs and deciding to vote on it. And still, many users can't vote because they are not active enough, if I understood that right? Which is a good thing BWT. But one could make a submission meter. |-------------------------------| New = 0 votes Bad = 2/3 no votes Good = 1/2 yes Better = 3/5 yes votes Great = 2/3 yes votes AWESOME = 1 yes votes. Not sure it's a fair system. But something like that perhaps? Weighing the votes against eachother could be a good system eh?

I was actually browsing past this one a couple of weeks ago. Didn't had the time to watch it though. Didn't feel like bouncing it up without watching it first.

I was just wondering. Could we implant yet another status thingie to the submission thread? It is rather confusing when a run has been in the submission queue for over two months and nothing else happends. I would like to have some more clear/straight lines of what is going to be published, and what is not going to be published. My Legend of Toki run for example, http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2706 , still stands with a "New" tag on it. It was submitted in august if I remember correctly. I so far got no "No" votes on it, and yet it has not been published after this time. Yes I know it takes time to encode a movie, as I'm trying to learn it my self currently. But I think the judges should be a bit faster in deciding what is good material enough to be published. And how long should it be allowed as a "New" status in the submission queue? Perhaps "New" status only should last for a week and then add a diffrent title to it? Something like "To be judged"? Most runs get's forgotten about in about a week. Only us grave diggers will dig up stuff from the bottom to see if older runs can stand a chance to be published. And to dust them off and shed new light uppon those forgotten goodies. What do you guys think?

The very same applies to Zelda 1 and 2. Damn annoying when I power down my nes, came back a while later and everything was erased. Even the reset button could do that, but it was rare in my cases. It is however recommended to press and hold the reset button while power down your nes.

Wow! Even more hardcore diving in games. I like it, but I don't understand it fully. Still.. Woulden't this be a good oportunity to implant debuggers in the emulators? Sort of the cheat finder in Zsnes? Perhaps see code in realtime? "The matrix has you!"

Why did you create a new post to say that? Edit: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1440 We already got a thread for it. :)

I would gladly help with the encoding if it was bulletproof and easy to output the AVI. We've talked about this many times, but I still can't get it to work.

Err.. If you feel that your material is rejectable in any way, why don't you just hit the cancel button? Even though a movie might get rejected however, it still might be good as a reference for upcoming runs. So I would not like to see the rejected or canceled onced cleared away completly, but rather moved into another thread.

Sign me up for this too! :D However.. Woulden't it be easier if BisqBot could use ini files or something, with data that contains instructions. Then we won't need to patch BisqBot over and over again.
