Erm.. I just thought of something... Would it be possible to sort of "bake" save states into the GMV for the possibility to rewind and fast forward? Well.. Fast forward is no problem since there is Frame skip. But say I wanna jump 20min into the movie and I don't have a save state like it works today, what could I do to jump 20min into the movie?

Ok. That answer didn't help me much at all. But I hope I can dra others attention this way to help us all out by creating a GMV tool for easy editing. These tools would be great to have in the program: * Frame number * Pressed button as well as for how long it's pressed and then release. This might be hardcore but anyways: * Possibility to load the rom and GMV, and perhaps the use of savestates to easy correct problems?

Morimoto is probably one of the most famous players in this league. He made the well known SMB3 movie as well as Rockman 2

* Enjoyment, both in watching and making * Shows insane speed that no one ever thought was possible back in the days when these games were top of the notch * Show glitches and other fun stuff * Bitchslap modern games as these retro games still holds HIGHEST quality.

Well... SDA accepted movies made with camtasia I think. I recon the Fallout movies were made that way? Or did they have TV-output? Can't remember. But ask them at SDA (www.speeddemosarchive.com)

Do you allow random foe's when you play like that or do you set them all to be example terran or zerg? What rase did you play when you beat those 7 comps?

I was wondering if there is a program already or if someone easily could make a program that allows easier hexediting? I was thinking of a very user friendly program that perhaps converts a certein hex value into an arrow to show wether I pressed left or right or a better value saying I pressed A, B or C etc and at what frame etc I did so. Some sort of GMV editor for us that doesn't understand hex editing. I mean.. FF DS FF FF FE DE doesn't say me much at all. And I'm kind of often in need of hex editing. So I always have to ask someon about it as I still haven't found a good giude that explains what all those values equals on a genesis controller. Please help me out here.

Yeah. Really slow game. I own it my self and even on console there is too much waiting. But I suspect your going to get some monster time bonuses. This game is going to be very repeditive. But a run is always a run and I don't mind seeing every game submitted anyways. :D I'm gonna watch this baby with full frame skip I beleive. Good luck.

If you are planning to make a new attack of the game, please don't use the glitch to skip the last boss since that will lock up the game and the ending will not be shown.

I'm up against the bee hive + bee queen now. Without any powerup weapons (which is somewhat good because the last weapons I encounter sucks anyways). Secondly the bee hive is invulnerable for a couple of seconds in the beginning which will add some more wasted time. :/ Anyways.. I think it's going to be a good fight. Perhaps a bit long as the queen is a real pain, shooting idiotic balls at me at all time. Perhaps I can draw benefits from it from time to time. But we'll see about that. Wish me good luck. ;) --EDIT--EDIT--EDIT--EDIT--EDIT--EDIT-- After some testing I am very confused. Seems like the invulnerability is sort of fake. But I can't decide this on my own. So I need help about this. On all the other bosses so far the hits registers right away as I shoot at them. However this is not the case here it seems. Please download the file below. You will notice that it takes a couple of seconds from my shoot before it registeres. But what if I shoot the boss more in the beginning? Will that be registered too? Is this first shoot even registered? WHERE IS THAT IN GAME DEBUGGER!!? =) http://133an.sytes.net/~highness/WB3Problem.avi I won't be able to continue my run before this question is answered.

The bat get's it. Enjoy the fifth WIP! http://133an.sytes.net/~highness/Wonder_Boy_III_-_Monster_Lair_(JUE)_[c][!]-WIP5-ByHighness.zip This boss was one of the easiest so far. Alot easier than I've suspected. To bad the boy's weapon ran out so fast. It's damn strong. I am surprised how long the missiles lasted though. I'll leave the rest up to you now. Entertaining or not? Atleast the bat is smoked fast.

This seems impressive. I have played that game like a billion times, and I've never heard anything about peaceful bonuses. I strongly encourage you to continue this run. However you should not submit runs unless it's compelte. Upload your WIP-run to a web server and post the link in here for us to view. The run should be submitted when the last boss dies. If you don't have access to a web server, you can mail me the GMV in a zip file with max compression. Then I can put it on my web server and link it for you. My email is highness@133an.sytes.net Cheers!
