Ok. I have tried it now. Works very well I must say. I recorded a small movie for wonder boy 3: The dragons trap (SMS). The output file will be a .gir. When movie is stopped the program asks if you wanna compress the file. I hit no. Play back worked just great. All we have to do now is to make it work with re-records.

Has anybody tried this? It's supposed to be able to handle SMS files as well. I'm going to check it out. Perhaps it would be easy to patch to get re-recording? http://www.retrobase.net/gensplus/ Home page http://www.retrobase.net/gensplus/files/gens+00339.zip Windows Binary http://www.retrobase.net/gensplus/files/gens+00339s.rar Source

Nice play through. Why do you use the special attacks at the mini bosses though? I have a slight memory of those guys being very easy to defeat, and not as annoying as the bosses.

I guess we can only dream for now. Doesn't look like there is a project of record/re-recording ATM.

Ah! Haven't played the game with that bird thingie for many years. I know though that rumors said that it was supposed to make the game harder. But I never found it that way.

I figure it this way. If this movie was any longer on any version it would become very boring. Basicly it's the same thing. Moving forward, turn around for one frame and fire your gun in all directions. Seeing that for another 10-15min would not entertain me much more. Sure, it's cool to see more bosses and how they are taken out extreamly fast. But non the less it would be tedious. I feel that the genesis version is just about right in length, besides the extreamly boring ending.

Is that really a glitch and not sort of easter egg or so? I think that when you enteter which level you wanna play, press A+B to get those birds visible when the screen types out for example Airman. Instead of that star field background it will be replaced by birds.

Tomb Raider, Wipe out, Casper, Super Puzzle fighters. Those names pops up, games that I'd love to see done. ;)

I think this should be in the off topic section or something. But anyways. I think you have to render your BMP files into an AVI file, using the same settings as for your full length movie. Otherwise there are a bunch of other programs that can make that. www.digital-digest.com can probably help out more. I use Roxio VideoWave 7 right now and it has worked pretty good I must say.

In the third stage, right before the boss, is it possible to jump off the mine carts to reach the boss more quickly?
No. It's not possible to jump off earlier. Those parts are made automaticly.
IIRC, Cormano's shotgun bullets could go through the Indian boss's guard if he was at point blank range. Did you try this out?
Yes. I did try this out. Scalpen blocks it no matter what. Very annoying.
Why isn't Cormano shooting at the last boss very often?
Because it was faster and easier if Billy did most of the job him self. I only use Cormano when Billy's shoots would went straight through for some mystic reason. Hopes this is answer enough for you.

Just because I'm not familare with the SNES version. I own the cartridge for Genesis and I thought it was fun to make it since I'm much more familare with that.

So where can we see it? How can we change it...
Click on the menu "Input" and then on "Customize hotkeys" [edit]You might wanna download the latest improvement of SNES9X. Can't remember if the original SNES9X had that Screen shoot feature. http://nvdata.pilif.ch/snes9xw-improvement7.zip

Digging in the bottom again. It looks like this run can be improved a bit here and there. I will go with a MEH-vote on this one. Good game though.

I really don't think you should give it up Julianch. There are still many souls on this site wishing to see a good complete run of this game.
