Wasn't this discussed in another thread? Atleast I've seen it mentioned in some other thread.

Wow! Amazing. 300 re-recordings for a single corner. That provs alot of patience. :) But then of course.. Your goal is of a greater calibre than my current goals. :)

To fight or not to fight, huh? It really depends on what you need later. What level do you need to beat NeiFirst? What is best for leveling up for her--Slugmess? So what level will you need to beat them, and where is the best place to do that... Just follow this logic until you get to something you can beat at level 1. You might be able to get money for weapons by raiding chests. Anyway, I'm also glad to see that you are continuing this, good luck saving the Algol system!
I figured I won't be raiding chests that much. They are a bit off track and since these characters are so slow when walking I don't want to do much stuff around getting from point A to point B. Instead I will kill enemies that are in the way for both XP and money. I would need to buy 4 ceram knives. But they cost 2800 meseta each. 390mst can be found in chests in Shure. But they are way off track. Atleast for that ammount I feel. But then again.. I don't know how much speed increase I can get by buying 4 of those knives. And when facing NeiFirst I suppose I'll have other weapon handy so.. I think weapon is more or less an issue after Teim meets Darum or something. Edit: Made a small list what I will be encountering in the beginning. I've sorted this list after how much experience points you gain from each enemy. Mosquito 3exp, 5mst Fire Ant 3exp, 5mst Poisoner 5exp, 13mst Locust 7exp, 15mst Froggy 7exp, 10mst Spinner 7exp, 16mst Carrier 9exp, 16mst Bee 5exp 9mst Pulser 12exp, 18mst Amoeba 12exp, 22mst Waspy 15exp, 27mst Armorant 26exp, 34mst Buzzer 26exp 34mst To bad I don't have a list over how much experience is needed for each level. That would be very useful right now.

With luck manipulation I should be able to go straight to them. I would need to level up in order to get Hinas (at level 7 with Rolf) and Ryuka (Level 4 with Rolf). However.. This can be done in Shure, where I suppose I can encounter harder enemies that contains alot more xp. Further question would be, should I backtrack to Paseo to get Rudo before I go to Shure? The extra firepower would come in handy I suppose, as well as speed up the upcoming battles. Also.. I just remembered that the dynamite chests are locked in Shure, which makes me backtrack inside Shure to get to the Dynamite. So the small directions I made on the maps are not in the correct order. I need to get to the room with the key and the letter first. :(

Why do we have to be so cryptic? This is somewhat halting a run because of cryptic talking.

I'm still not ready to give up on this game. So I have started to plan forward a bit. 1. Go to the weapon shop and buy two steel bars for Nei at the cost of 80 meseta a piece. 2. Head to Arima just in order to get Rudo later. 3. Head to Shure and get 2x dynamite, leather and small key. Question remains. Should I fight my way to these places or should I avoid all the fights? I have also looked at some of the maps and drawn directions on them. http://highness.no-ip.com/Phantasystar2planning/

I watched Tuggummis video. Very good. Some questions though. When getting the super booster. Is it best to use it as a shortcut over the sand area, which usually slows you down. Is this affected by the booster? In the first lap you are traveling along side with the ledge that usually bumps you and destroys your ship a bit. Would it be wizer to save the super booster for a straight road instead a curvy one? In the beginning of the first lap you bounce on the first ship and not on the second one (the green one). How come?

Good imput there Foda. I don't know about first time attacks though. This was version 8 so he had alot of good practice runs before that. For example I only had two versions of my Mystic Defender for Genesis which I cut down ALOT. Well... I made Royal Rumble before that. But that was more or less just a gag. :) A frame perfect two player run of this game would be ultimate.

Wow! Thats alot of time spent. I suppose more than one person could work on this project though. Make a level each and hex edit together or something. I will just plainly love to see the run of Mute City 1.

Ok. Now I've watched this run. It was better than before. But I still have some thoughts. In level 2. Are you sure that you can't kill the enemies quicker. Seems sad that you stop scrolling downwards. In the snake riding level it seems that you can finish the last part a bit quicker by grabbing the snakes head. You wait until the tail shows instead of running ahead. Second bonus stage - Seems like you can die a bit faster. Since the second black row you grab all the black bricks. But not the first row. :( Over all.. A bit more perfect moving. Such as not fooling around to much. I don't mind wobling or stuff like that. Just that some times it looks like your standing wrong, and you adjust that. Woulden't it look smother if you just ended up at the right spot directly, without changing a bit later? I know that I'm picky. But I see this is going better and better. Still though I'm giving this a YES vote.

Haha! Well.. Almost every character has a juggle of some sort that could be used. Sector for example can use his teleport punch over and over in order to juggle. Kano has his blade attack which he can corner his opponent with. This thread should go about and get more concrete. Like talking about how to perform 100% combos etc. When to morph and to what character etc. The pool area is bound to have Sub-Zero deep freeze and glitch uppercut the opponent into the pool. Forward, Forward, Down, High Kick. Then Forward, Down, Forward, Forward, High punch (this triggers the fatality where he normaly shatters his opponent in a million pieces), but instead of shatter the opponent, quickly hold low punch and low kick. This makes the opponent go into the pool instead. Even though the background is shaded as it would normally be during a fatality. :) Anyways... Concrete strategies and hints so that we can begin the recording. :)

You seem to know your Kombat games DrJones. However some of your statements are wrong. Throwing is frequently used in normal mode. Atleast those time I have played the game. Sure. Not as much as in Very hard. But still. Kintaro is about as easy with every character. Just jump your self into a corner and wait for Kintaro to teleport-stomp you. 95% of the times, atleast for me, when Kintaro stops the stomping you will get pushed out from the corner and Kintaro is left there. Now, just press low punch as fast as you can until Kintaro dies. He will be stuck in the corner and can't block. :) Shao Kahn is over all very easy to defeat if you ask me. Just walking towards him and hitting high kick sort of trapps him in a loop where he tries to shadow-headbutt or what ever it is. Scorpion do warp when played by computer. But not very often. One thing that I think that I've never seen from the AI is a leg scissors though. Shang Tsung will be used, atleast if I can tell what to do. :) Since Shang can morph into any other character.

Ok.. This is getting deeper than I wanted it from the beginning. Any example tutorial is probably good. I understand that the more I read tutorials the more I learn and understand. I never said that I wanted cross-platform compability. A good thing to learn would be how to import libraries and use stuff in them. Geez. Just post alot of newbie links will ya? =D There is no mind that thinks in a 100% simmilar way. What may be logic for me may not be logic to you guys. Even though you might be more advance than I am at this stage. :)

Well.. I remember when we had java programming at school. We started right away with using the swing interface. That was funny. It was easy to create a windows gui without that much work. Also it was easy to make other graphic stuff. Funny for me in c++ would be for example to just pop-up a window and by a red dot or something paint the entire window red with a speed of one pixel per 0.2 seconds or something like that while using loops or something. :) Perhaps thats more clear of the "fun" part? Not like. When I type in value A and B it will out put value C. Thats not hard, nor is it fun. I want some guide that can give motivation to do all those boring stuff. I know it's not easy. I just want to go a diffrent way which shows off more than just a loop that counts from number 0 to 100 in a zip. Also.. I don't wanna get into Visual c++ or something like that. I feel it's too complex straight away. I wanna be able to type the code and still get a funny/exciting result.

Many times I have searched, and many times I have failed. I feel there are no good guide that makes the programming fun to understand right away. They (allmost) always begin with the boring "Hello world!" bullshit. And after that it's just pure boredom of loops etc. Can any one give me a funnier guide or better guide?

Ain't it for Master system? I don't think Master system has re-recording just yet. But I think it has been discussed in another thread.
