Ok. It didn't work with Rayden. <-- See this as a spelling correction to the above as well. I'll never learn. Hehe.

Ok. So I suppose there won't be many freeze fatalities that will look funny enough then. The dead pool glitch is a must though. :) F,F,D, HK in order to freeze the victim. Then F,D,F,F,HP in order to pull off the rest of the fatality, quickly as hell hold LK and LP, just as in the dead pool uppercut. :) Wonder if this works with Raiden... I'll have to test.

I was just reading through your doc file. Is it faster to get the girl later in the game? Also.. Can't you wait with buying those cobra braclets until you arrive at upperland? I recon they've got better armour there. And I thought land slide was stronger than gem missile against the evil wall?

Wow! I didn't know you could avoid fights in Narshe. Also like how you fire a tek missile backwards. :) Why not run with Vicks and Wedge in the last battle before the cave in Narshe? Strange Whelk strategy. But it seems to work. :) Good fight with the moogles. Eager to see the upcoming parts. :)

Well.. Zer0 was working on it, but he put it on ice. I was supposed to help him with the work of it, but we never started. We just talked some about it and structured things a bit. But the flight never took off. So we're at ground level with it. I don't know if he has the intention to blow life into it once again, since he's a good runner and very serious and skilled. I would like to see Zer0 continue with it. But I don't mind if someone else takes up this beutiful game. I will be here on the boards to post comments and help out when ever I can as well. I have alot of experience of this game.

Wasn't the freeze and burn supposed to glitch even more , with Scorpions head looking glitched afterwards?

Hmm... Wasn't there a glitch allowing you to skip almost ALL levels, ending up near, if not the last, level? I would probably watch this anyways since I played it alot at my friends house when I was a kid.

The game only freezes if you use the "wrong" buttons. Not all things makes the game freeze. However I would say those screenshots are indeed fake. Unless someone has used a game genie in order to play against eachother. In this guide http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/mortal_kombat_2_a.txt there are some codes you can enter in order to fight AGAINST the last bosses and the hidden ones. But there would probably be some game genie codes to enable you to play. I haven't seen any though. I just clicked the first guide on GameFAQ's.

You could make it your self rather easy with frame advance I suppose? Shoulden't be too hard figureing out when the exact frame after selecting a character appears. I have tried that glitch on real SNES though. Didn't get it to work. :(

Just tried the Deep-freeze-babality with Sub-Zero alone now. Not using Shang-Tsung. Nothing fancy happend. Just that ugly graphical glitch. Same as with every other freeze-and-finish effects it seems. :(

Hehe. Yeah. I remeber the FAQ saying that in MK1 as well. "You can't use Liu-Kang or Scorpion to face Reptile and Lizard since you must hold block to do their fatalities" what a bullshit. :D I've tried a couple of combined Sub-Zero freeze fatalities now. But they only show some graphical glitches that are not interesting at all. They only appear for a couple of frames showing the victim all cloged up. Nothing fancy.

We should sure go about and test everything with Shang Tsung. :) There should be ALOT of fatality glitches out there.

Would it be possible to skip those two stars and just head for Monster town in the first place? I mean.. You don't really seem to need those extra levels that much. How much time does those stars save you anyways in the long run?

Hehe.. That sounds really impossible on very hard difficulty. Even with re-records it's a pain in the ass. But it sounds very cool. I was thinking of doing something similar with Shang Tsung though. Jump kick and do three flaming skulls that hits the opponent. Morph into Raiden and teleport behind the opponent or something and pull off that electric-chock-handshake or something, not the fatality one. Then perhaps the flying thing. I dunno. I'm just brainstorming strategies here. Feel welcomed to help out some more. I've tried to watch your MK2 run Kreig747, but it ain't working. Sad. :/

I just did a search as I thought I remembered someone doing a run of this game. However I coulden't find anything relating to it. Anyone is making this game? I would really like to see it.

Hmm... I think this can be somewhat better. But I was really amused by it so I will give it a yes vote anyways.

Yeah. Psycho Fox would rule! I can't remember so many other titles. Alex Kid in miracle world, Bomberaid (or something like that). Wonder boy series of course. Dynamite duke. As I said. I'm not sure that the titles are correct, this is in the back of my head though. Gotta get an emulator that can re-record SMS! :D There was one out there but it wasn't that good. There was some talk about it in another thread I think.

I don't know what the hell the guy in the low-level walkthrough at gamefaqs is talking about when he claims you can go through whirlpools without fighting Shoguns...honestly I tried jumping in at many different times and the Shogun still popped out, ready as ever.
Thats easy. If your talking about those whirlpools in the desert with those monsters in it, on your way to monster town? Just as they pop up from the whirlpool, walk away quickly. Takes some precision to make but it's rather easy to do with a real SNES. I own the cartridge and has done that many times. That should save some time, unless you really wanna level up on them?

The speed settings you use are not that great either. I did my first Mystic Defender run using 20% speed the first levels, then I used 6% to the end. In the second version I released I used frame-by-frame movement only. This allowed me to shave off 24 seconds! That was very enjoyable for me, and I don't think people who watched it disliked it either. I haven't watched your run yet. I don't think I will have time enought to do it either. But I think you should wait to complete an entire game and release it if you already know that you can do alot better. However it's very good to post your result in order to get creative criticism so that you can improve your run and have it even more entertaining. I think that people do watch the submission either because of awesome glitches or for very high speed playing ALONG with entertaining looking silly/funny/dumb/crazy stuff while it doesn't slows you down. Atleast thats what I'm after mostly. Do what you can in order to complete the game as fast as possible, while still maintaining those stupid/funny/silly looking stuff that makes people smile for a while. Also.. I think you should get super sonic. Otherwise it would be wasted time to go after all the emeralds. Thats my point of view. Hope it helps some. I would gladly watch your complete run when it goes final. :)

Sounds like a tricky game indeed. Whats your status now Bisqwit? How far have you come with your Rockman 1 run?

Ok. But for the lazy one though? Could someone implant a function that deactivates the turbo and pauses the emulator at a desired frame? Would be very handy when it comes to very long runs such as FF6 and Chrono Trigger.
