A few more things. It probably would of been best to spend the time in the first stage to get the Vitamin X, and use it after you use the key card in stage 2. There's also some Vitamin X in Toxic Dump and The Abyss which you did not get. In Incubator, there is a pipe bomb assited small ledge push in the yellow key room. There's a few alternatives to your path in Lunar Reactor which may decrease the time. There's a sequence break in Dark Side which you may want to look into because you do have a jet pack http://red-stars.net/content/Duke_Nukem_3D_Glitches:Episode_2#Sequence_Break

I thought the movements were decent, but you seemed to of not used a lot of glitches which we have used in the PC version. In Toxic Dump, can you no longer jump/duck/jump to avoid needing the shrink ray to fit in the small pathways? In the PC version, you could do a small ledge push on the blue key pad in Launch Facility ( http://red-stars.net/games/duke3d/launch_facility-wall_push.avi ) In Rabid Transit there was a weird glitch that if you kicked the door that opened witrh the blue key, it would open regardless. It was some odd LoTag setting glitch. We also had different paths in Death Row, Rancid Meat, and a few others. Our videos can be seen at http://red-stars.net/content/Duke_Nukem_3D_Speedruns

I would of liked a detailed explanation of why this movie is faster in the submission text, but I do not understand why this is seen as a necessity. What if he refused? This speed run should of never of seen the light of day? Obscene. This was an amazing run, and the improvements were obvious and vast. A definite yes vote and I can not wait for the AVI.

it won't ever be considered for this site unless the author stops being a greedy ass and releases the emulator and source code under a sane license.
Are you saying that no one should make money off of software? The author has put a lot of time into documenting the hardware, emulating it, and writing development tools.

I believe these combo videos are for the psx version. There is no 'aggressor' bar. Edit: I just saw Khamelion, so I'm wrong.

In an older AoS thread I posted the PRNG code, and the code which calculates if a soul gets dropped or not. If some one figures out the algorithm, feel free to let me know and I'll add it to EmuRead.

I believe the main trouble you'd come across would be timing problems. Psudo-random number generators that base them selves around time would more than likely fail to return the same results. I do agree with you that the file formats should work on a per input read basis and not on a vblank. I felt for different reasons, though. I made a topic on it a while ago.

I can imagen macros would be useful. For example in Mario64, you may want to make a "backflip one." direction=current+180 advance frame B Or some thing to this effect.

To Mr.Hoe: In this game, weak point of bosses is only head. If fired bubbles to body, they passed through and I could not fire next bubble until they disappeared, so I stopped firing.
Very well then. A yes vote :)

Great play, but a few things concerned me. It seems like you could of been closer to the exit when picking up the item the bosses dropped. Two of them really popped out to me were the second bird fight, and the second fake princess demon fight. It also seemed like at some points you stopped firing bubbles at the bosses, even though you could of continuied. I am probably wrong, but please let me know. If you need help understanding, please ask and I will reword.

So....you know who I'd like to reply to this topic? Hoe. Seriously, I'm curious!
I'll bite. Back in 96~99 or so I went by JHL (my innitials) on EFnet. Around '99, I ran a bot for a friend on DALnet, and named it JoeBot. One day, the bot lost it's nick, I reset it, came back a few days later and noticed I typed it as HoeBot. Good o'l pal of mine says "I dear you to keep that," and now here I am -- Hoe. Though I do often prefer "JLennox," I just so happened to of made my name here Hoe.

Hey, about that Ep3 final boss, did you try hitting it with the foot (right one) and the mighty foot (left one) at the same time?
Not possible in version 1.5. They fixed that glitch :) The way that boss battle actually works is he keeps shooting the pole with his rockets causing splash damage to him self.

Make a "Convert to Game Genie" button at the Cheat menu so you easily can use the codes on a normal NES. Please? :3
The cheats you're searching for modify RAM, while Game Genie modifies ROM.

there are no seeds. try the google video ones
It's strange. I'm not a big thepiratebay user, but it apears that recently they did some thing which causes the page stats to be wrong. utorrent supports manually adding a peers info by right clicking in the peers list. Feel free to manually add me: 69.173.8.119:6881 If trouble persists, I can make a temp ftp account, but take my word for it, the speed wount be pretty. I'm working on making a page for the dmos. We've already got ~20seconds shaved off the abyss, and other stages trimmed down, as well.

first off this game never came out! Would that make it invalid to use for a speed run on this site?
Star Fox 64 and Gradius being run do not answer that question.

There was also this site: http://www.infinines.net/wikiram/index.php/ But I guess it has been hacked :(
I was a sysop on that wiki as well as the main contributer. I have no problems with idle projects, and the creator told me he did not, either. But the end all says he did. I've salvaged most of my stuff aside from my notes on the prng on Tetris. http://red-stars.net/content/NES_misc. http://red-stars.net/content/GBA_misc. Not sure if much is useful in context of speed runs. Luke and my self also do rom hacking.

I was waiting for it to hit google videos before I posted it :) Ep2: Download high quality version here: http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3473658 (it says 0 seeders/leechers, but ignore that, also ignore that the title says episode 1 -- my typo) Google video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8046373278502232074 (thanks Spidey)
