Hahaha, very entertaining! I don't think you should do an entire season or anything, though...

nice sig jxq The only reason I'd get an AVI would be if it has had some kind of modification for better viewing (like that Sonic Advance camhack one that is coming) or the improved sound chip emulation recordings.

Button combinations are pretty obvious, you OR the flags together... that's what you're really looking at here, a bunch of flags. For some reasons Gens likes them to mean that 1=off and 0=on, but they're still flags.
7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0
S C B A R L D U
So just A = 16 -> $10 -> $EF as stated before. ORing some numbers together... say pressing Down, B and C at the same time is easy too. 2 + 32 + 64 -> $62 -> $AD.

Phoenix Wright (the japanese ones on the GBA). Any fixed-speed sidescroller. Puzzle games with one solution (like Phoenix Wright).

It's one of the guidelines for new console considerations. It is a fairly arbitrary limit; why not 30MB? Then some N64 games wouldn't be allowed. :)

This was discussed at the same time as optimal routes for the special stages were. Read back some pages. :)

It did seem a bit samey, though some of the moves were indeed impressive. Backing someone into a corner and wailing them (a la Tekken 4) is not much fun, and those emulator pauses just suck. Meh.

A lot of keyboards have different 'sections' for which the buffer is allocated. I have the same arrows problem as bobxp. Try holding down a couple of meta-keys, three from the left side, three from the right size, a couple of arrows and something from the num key pad. They should all register :)

Sonic 1 is kinda dull to watch, and the bonus stages just make it worse for me. Voted Meh.

Maybe the holiest name of all for God is his real one, GED. Always shouted because of its importance.

Figuring out an RNG is very hard work. It requires some tedious mucking about in Assembly. I was going to try and analyse Shining Force's RNG but Gens doesn't have a memory viewer, so it wouldn't be very useful. (I'm doing in-depth work on Pokemon TCG right now)

Try reading one of the GameFAQs on Shining Force, it mentions the exact formulae for damage, iirc. Like I said, pressing a direction key while you are choosing your target to hit (even if there is only one) moves the RNG on. For the MD version.

Yeah, double posting and all that. I've done a major overhaul of the first 4 levels; every level is faster and there's 352 frames saved in total. This is due to a couple of new tricks, some new memory locations (I love you Cheat Search) and general better tactics. I now have a very thorough understanding of the board level, which is why it's much much faster this time around. Enjoy!
