Hi. I found a silly mistake in my Frogger TAS, losing about 78 frames. I went back and hex edited the inputs to save those frames. The two .dtm files synced up perfectly. But, from the point at which the two movies sync up and onward, each input in the 00 column in hex editor are delayed by 1 frame. Is there anyway to put in a value in the 00 column and shift all values in that column down a place? Thanks a ton. Also, I don't know why the inputs need to be delayed...There may have been a lag frame (but it only affects the 00 column inputs???), which is unavoidable given the situation I'm in.

Yup. Ended with first possible frame that will kill the boss. For now though, I screwed up big time. In the 3rd zone, 1st level, I found a 600 frame timesaver because it appears like my brain wasn't thinking back then. I need help using hex editor to change inputs and delete frames in the .dtm...

Could someone answer a question I have? I'm at the final boss now and I'm worrying about the movie timing. Do I end the movie recording as soon as the last possible input is entered that lets the credits roll?

Hmm...Weird. In the next zone, there are movable blocks that you have to pull and push to go through the level. These are different from the first zone. The first 2 frames that you can jump, you twitch forward but then do not jump. The 3rd frame jumping results in a 1 space jump instead of 2 spaces...Really strange.

It's nothing really. The stage before the catfish boss. The first wooden block I pull apart from the ship can be jumped onto before it lands in the water. From there I can jump on to the rail of the ship where I can get stuck for roughly 20 frames and then I die. I feel there could be someway to get on the ship early.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Even if you are the exact frame between falling off and landing on the platform, the game realigns you on to a certain block, so I don't believe that can be done. I think I have almost found a small glitch, but I'm not sure.

I'm confused with all this. I'd assume I would replace the Dolphin.exe and DSPTool with the one I currently have, but then where do I put the patches?

I'm confused by what you're asking. If you jump midway, I think the direction you're moving in will correspond to which space you jump onto afterwards if there are 2 blocks.

Nope. I've never heard of that before actually.

I think it would be amazing if a TAS Input for WiiMote was created. I know that in Mario Kart Wii, tilting is too slow with regular control configurations to do certain glitches.

Hi. I recently finished the beginning of my Frogger's Adventures: The Rescue TAS. It was completed in 28628 frames. I used a frame converter that concluded that the run was 7 minutes and 57.3 seconds long if running at 60 fps. After constantly using frame advance to TAS, I can honestly say this game runs at 60 fps. My framedump length that I uploaded was only 7 minutes and 40 seconds long. I've never seen framdump speed up at all before, so this might not be the problem. If anyone can help please do. Thanks!

This is what I have so far. Link to video I redid this entire run and saved 15 frames on first level with better optimization, actually skipped the 2nd cutscene (forgot to xD) saving about 3100 frames, saved 19 frames on 2nd level, 32 on the 3rd level, and 2 on the fourth level. The third and fourth level were done with better routing so the best time could be reached. 100 frames were saved on the catfish boss, but I lost 27 because of a better strat. I also want to test out the RNG (I think that's what's occuring here) patterns in the boss. The rock drops in different places depending where you are standing. I'll try to get the best possible positioning further. I might be streaming tomorrow too.

With a lack of things to do in the summer, I might take up TASing this game. I'm known for TASing Mario Kart Wii Time Trials, but I'd like to take a step out of that and TAS a different game. This game would be relatively easy to do with only 4 directions to move in at one time. I haven't found any speedrun videos of this, so if anyone has a link to one, or knows special tricks in the game to save time, please notify me. :) Additional notes so far: -Jumping across 2 spaces is 6 frames slower than just walking across 1 at a time. -Jumping across 2 spaces into the exit is 10 frames faster than just jumping 1 space at a time.

Thanks. I haven't tested it yet, but I do have a WiiMote being emulated...There have been very few occurrences where file creation is desynced, so I think I'm fine there.

Hello all. :) I've recently begun TASing 100% Paper Mario TTYD and have replayed my .dtm recording leading up to the first Crump battle to find that it desyncs with my inputs. My inputs are very precise because of a perfectly timed superguard during the battle and text box skips. Therefore, the recording slightly messes up and the entire recording is ruined. After playing it back several times, I've noticed there is an inconsistency at where it desyncs. It could desync at the file creation, first entering Rogueport and so on. I think I've seen several people fix problems like this by changing to Direct3D11 as their Backend, but that hasn't helped and has possibly made the playback even less accurate now. If anyone knows any way to fix this, please respond. Thanks a ton!

I'd be willing to spend a LONG time on a 100% run. I would just need some help with route planning as I haven't played Paper Mario TTYD in a very long time. If anyone is highly experienced with this game, please add me on Skype: Malleoz Thanks guys :)

What would be considered a 100% TAS of this game? Obtaining all badges, beating all bosses (such as Bonetail) and getting all partners?

Well obviously because I've concluded that in my last post. But all these abort messages are popping up and stuff.

I don't know. I tried making the run, but A) The movie keeps ending whenever I press F12 (reload last savestate) or if I press 2 savestates at the same time. B) It keeps saying that a fatal error has occured, or something like that D:

But when I tried to play back a .dtm I made of my Maple Treeway 2:11.386 it said could not be played back. Please make a recording without Gamecube Controller. :S

Regarding the items, I would set it to Strategic, thereby eliminating blue shells and leaving only items such as green shells that can be easily avoided. Would that be allowed? And how would I record it? .dtm?

I think I'll just do a VS Race TAS (It would be 3/4 shorter than doing all CCs xD) I would just need help learning how to record the movie (.dtm won't be replayed with a Gamecube Controller o_O) and setting up some things. If you can help me contact me on Skype: Malleoz.

My TAS runs are all on my new channel, MalleoTrollin. Please go there to find them. Also, I was thinking of doing a complete Mario Kart Wii TAS (completing the entire game), but I need to know, would it be correct to TAS all the GPs and 50cc, 100cc and 150cc or just go into versus mode?
