There's a hack called Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back. It is actually a hack of Super Mario All-Stars. Access by selecting Super Mario Bros. 3.

Yes. Yes I did. I found a way through. In fact, I got the TAS finished. It took me an entire day. Oh, I uploaded the gif images on Photobucket. Those were my two paths that didn't work as small Mario. So I get the Superball Flowers from the bonus games. World 1 was so easy. 2-1 sees a spike in difficulty. 2-2 is as equally hard as 2-1. 3-1 wasn't as hard, but 3-2 was kinda tricky. 4-1 was a gauntlet. 4-2 was so easy thanks to a well aimed bounce, it reduced backtracking in the level to none, skipping the most dangerous parts. 2-3 and 4-3 removed the invincibility stars as it was a game breaker in the shoot-'em-up environment.

If only there was a P-Switch... I mean Super Mario Bros. 3 came out Japan the year before this game came out. There's no excuse. Also, Gunpei Yokoi thought that warp zones are for losers.

I did what I had to do, but I still get killed! The mercy invincibility didn't last long enough. Remember when Pabrtrky said it took 0.3 seconds for it to change a thing? Well it did. Like what the "Game Dude" said: Fuck seahorses! A GameShark can be handy, but I could get banned if I do so.

When I thought I was in the clear, I get hit by the tail end of the seahorse. And I thought I could try the platform above only to be guarded by a Goomba. I reached a checkpoint and I could respawn there, but it'll waste frames. I should redo the bonus stage and get a superball flower. It'll take away some frames, but allows for time saving damage.

We could TAS both games at once. Since we have a TAS of Pokemon Red and Blue.

I also have to point out that the color hack reduces lag by having it not affect gameplay and that it takes only one frame to transition between level and bonus room. I say that the original and the color hack are incompatible with each other when it comes to movie playback.

The color hack made 3-1 slightly easier by removing some spikes so you can avoid taking damage. I encountered a glitch in the color hack preventing me from finishing 2-3. Thankfully pausing and un-pausing fixes this. A max score TAS reminds me of the all coins TAS on Super Mario Bros. A previous version of the color hack was buggy rendering the game unwinnable.

I am experimenting a high score TAS. Getting as many power-ups and coins as possible. 999,999 points is the highest possible. I am using a color hack that plays the game in color. We could TAS a level hack of this game. Not graphics hacks like Super Pika Land as TASes made using version 1.1 can sync with them.

This is proof that shells work differently than springboards, keys and P switches. Double Jump Feathers FTW!

I am TASing Super Pika Land Ultra Chocolate Version and I'm having trouble with World 2 Trial 2 - Pastel Plains. I figured out that Koopa Shells work differently than springboards, keys, and P-switches. I want to skip a portion of the stage by bouncing off a Squirtle thrown in midair and doing a midair jump and landing above the ceiling.

Secret boss early and getting the feather early helps a lot. Very helpful until the minecart level. The minecart level resets your power-ups. And there are death blocks to avoid in later levels.

There's no problem on Super Pika Land Ultra on BizHawk. The sound glitches are minor in that hack. I even made a WIP.

There is a MSU-1 hack of Mega Man X3 that has music from the PSX/Saturn versions. Why didn't we do TASes of those instead of the SNES version I wonder? I can't seem to get it working. bsnes/higan didn't need firmwares before, but now they do. MSU-1 hacks are a new thing. Can't wait for Super Mario Odyssey to be finished.

I was thinking about implementing MSU1 support in BizHawk, by either firmware or libretro core.

SNES9x 1.52+ is not recommended for some hacks, like Super Mario World: The Second Reality Project Reloaded. 1.43 have continuances in 10 games. I am disabled, I have DMD, I can't hold a controller very well, and SNES9x doesn't have a TAS editor built-in, being my biggest handicap in TASing.

Tried to load Super Mario Kart, but it's stuck on the Nintendo logo. Originally you didn't need firmwares to run certain games, but now you do. CX4, DSP1, DSP1b, DSP2, DSP3, DSP4, MSU1, ST010, ST011, ST018. Copy the firmwares from BizHawk to lsnes and the games will load. Star Fox booted up without any problems. Where can we find the MSU1 firmware?

SMW hacks with Music work fine on SNES9x 1.51 and older versions as well as ZSNES. They are problematic on SNES9x 1.52+ even on FuSoYa's build, also lsnes and BizHawk. SMW hacks can still be TASed on SNES9x 1.51 since 1.43 is no longer accepted with a very few exceptions. This is my last post here.

Ah, the flip screen kill glitch on the Game Boy. The Game Boy is 160x144. The glitch happens roughly 40 pixels off screen. Just about the width of the GBA.

Almost a 4-second improvement not counting the title screen. I love it! Yes vote.

The crash bug exists on Pokemon Darkness as well. We can only play these type of hacks on SNES9x 1.43 and ZSNES.

Ugh! Discovery Family apparently isn't updating their schedule when they were supposed to. I suggest relying on Zap2it's schedule until then.

Stages 9 and 14 can be beaten much quicker with a P Wing. But that's only after you beat the game. I also would like to see a NG+ run. Also, I wanna see TASes of Peach & Daisy in the Ultimate Quest and SMB3Mix.
