maybe make a yellow run without doing sorts of major glitches, maybe a Nuzlocke Challenge. Have your Pokemon's HP down in the red and the level up fanfare doesn't interrupt gameplay. Even catching a Pokemon if yours' HP is in the red doesn't interrupt gameplay. Weaken Mankey while it weakens Pikachu. Buy 3 Poke Balls. You don't need to fight your rival in route 22. Mankey learns Low Kick at Level 9. Use Mankey once you catch it, and keep using it until after Brock. Battle Misty using Pikachu obviously. Then use Pikachu 'til sometime after getting Charmander, After getting Charmander, have Pikachu faint. Catch Abra at route 5/6 to Teleport to Cerulean City's Pokemon Center. Catch a Dugtrio and teach it Cut. Use Dugtrio against Lt. Surge, then use Charmander the rest of the way. Don't evolve Charmander until it learns Flamethrower. Teach Fly to Charizard after it evolves at Level 36. Get TM Earthquake from Silph Co. 10th floor Teach Surf to Squirtle, teach Strength to Mankey? The quiz introduction isn't repeated. Useful moves: Pikachu: Thundershock, Quick Attack Mankey: Scratch, Low Kick, Strength(outside) Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard: Ember/Flamethrower, Slash/Strength(outside)/Earthquake(Charizard), Fire Blast, Fly(Charizard) Abra: Teleport(outside) Dugtrio: Dig, Cut(outside) Squirtle: Surf(outside) Useless moves: Pikachu: Growl, Tail Whip, Thunder Wave - Reason: None Mankey: Leer - Reason: None Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard: Growl, Leer, Rage, Fire Spin - Reason: None Dugtrio: Scratch, Growl - Reason: Use only once Squirtle: Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble - Reason: Not used in battle

When battling a trainer, there's also something on Pokemon Yellow, that if your Pokemon's HP is low and it gains a level, the level up fanfare won't delay the text. It can be used to skpi the level up fanfare when you win a battle. in Red and Blue, the win fanfare won't play until after the level up fanfare plays. Anyway, this "glitch" were talking about, like if Thunder Wave misses, it displays "It didn't affect <Pokemon>!"

Level 19 on the PAL version is actually faster than on the NTSC version. Can't wait for the next run to be played on the PAL version.

There are 10 cars to choose from. The faster cars are typically for on-road and the slower cars are typically for off-road. There are only three courses which makes it a short game. For a TAS, 2 controllers is necessary to drive one of the locked cars. Only drawback, they can't be customized. I choose the Deus, I get the fastest times going off-road. Configuration follows:

I discovered a trick while turning. 30Hz turbo works wonders. You don't skid while turning. It'll shorten your lap times. Sure you may not get the pole position with all Rank 1 parts, but using this technique will win you every race.

One of the greatest racing games for the SNES. Useful hints for TASing: Set 1 qualifying lap, minimal laps for the final. 3 laps in Group C (default) 4 laps in Formula 3000 and whatever minimal laps in Formula 1 For Group C and Formula 3000, settle for a Rank 2 engine. For Formula 1, don't equip the Rank 3, 5, or 7 engine. Upgrade just the engine Group C invest 4000 Formula 3000 invest 5500 Formula 1 invest 7200 The Rank 6 engine will be done by the time you reach Australia. Equip the Rank 8 engine for the second visit to Monaco. The Super engine will be available after the Rank 8 engine is done. It costs 100000, but it can only be used once. if used in qualifying, it can also be used in the final. Hold A while accelerating to go twice as fast. Use the turbo boosts in longest courses possible barring the first five courses Remember to use the same car you used from your first Formula 1 season By the time you're done with Group C, you'll have 50100 left over. By the time you're done with Formula 3000, you'll have 107500 left over. By the time you're done with Formula 1 season 1, you'll have 192100 left over. By the time you're done with 12 courses in Formula 1 season 2, you'll have enough money for the Super engine to be used 4 times. The end credits roll after you won in title defense. So end playback after you line yourself up to the finish line slowing down in front of an opponent in the final second season race in Australia. Once again, minimal laps, rank 2 engine, Formula 1 be even Steven, minimal costs, super engine for 100000, same car in F1, turbo boosts in 4 courses, win in title defense.

I'm bumping this near 6 year old topic. We could use lsnes to record input. How about we do Nyan Cat. We do the background, music, stamps, and animation.

Yeah Jam Fury A new game six years in the making. Made by the same person who made Super Smash Flash. One more thing, flash games and flash movies can be downloaded off of Newgrounds by using DownloadHelper on Firefox.

Any progress so far? Battles can be manipulated. I don't have any runs made yet. I recommend doing Rescue Rangers.

We know that SWF files converted to EXE won't play on Hourglass. There is a possibility that there would be a rerecording SWF emulator.

I hate to jump to conclusions, but Episode 2 is not going to be on WiiWare. Blame it on technical limitations. We're gonna have to wait for PS3 and Xbox 360 TASing. I wonder if Hourglass can work with Steam.

Pokemon Darkness low% run Get to Mt. Moon 1 as fast as possible to get 1000 coins for HM Fly. The Zapdos battle and Dragonair Canyon and Diglett Desert can be skipped. The underwater bonus area is a fast auto-scrolling level, It gets to Articuno quicker. Could it be possible to skip the Celebi and Articuno battles? There's only a small stretch of land before the bottomless pit, so it's virtually impossible to do outside TASing.
You know what? Skip Mt. Moon. There's a mother lode of coins in Viridian Forest 3. So it'll get to Celebi faster. That will work... until I ran into a roadblock. I done a running start from a high angle, but I can't jump high enough. No, I did not release the jump button in mid-jump. There must be a force that keeps me from jumping high. So we're gonna have to get the thunder stone no matter how hard we try.

This is a Famicom bootleg of Pokemon Yellow. FCEU and FCEUX has a reset bug, the latter being during playback. It won't run on VirtuaNES, it may not run on Nestopia. It's not compatible with Nintendulator yet. I used Mednafen to run the game and it works perfectly. This game can be TASed using Mednafen.

The C> button is the move command. C<is>. The B button is for the workers to harvest/return resources. A few abilities such as the Zerg Queen's Infestation is mapped to the B button. The B button is the auto-command which uses the attack command is also used for entering transports, as well as setting rally points for factories. Hold R and press A to select multiple units at once. Hold Z and press A to select/deselect units while units are selected. Whenever enemies do suicide missions, the game lags. This doesn't happen on PC. For a run, set the game speed and cursor speed to the max. Maybe do a run that unlocks all cheats. (don't kill the orange civilian)

In Zerg 9 the Floating Drone bug works wonders N64 version use Jabo's D3D6 1.5 GFX plugin. The runs have to be on pace with or faster than the SDA records.

Thanks, I got it to run, but albeit slow. My computer may not meet the system requirements. I'll probably get a new computer in the future.
