I already knew for awhile about one way it could be improved but I was too lazy to do it all over. I didn't figure out until near the end of the pirate ship that pressing up or down makes Minnie walk towards Mickey, so if you do that to keep them close together all the time, they'll be closer together when you jump onto a ladder so they'll both get to the top of ladders faster. I don't know if you figured that out already since I didn't watch the WIP so I'll watch it now. Edit: And also I didn't have the 60 fps patch when I made that so that probably cost me quite a bit of time. Edit 2: What are some of the obvious mistakes you're talking about?

I don't think there are any NES emulators that can record shooting with the zapper gun.

In donut secret house you jump straight through the stairs. This was surpising how did you discover it and why does it work? Viper didn't discover it. I think I first saw it mentioned on the TG forums, but I'm not sure who discovered it first. If I remember correctly, LucidFaia said that he saw MegaPowerNinja discover this trick by accident, and then I think someone else said that they knew about this trick already.

Zoizite: thanks for finding the link to it, how did you find it? The best I could come up with was the torrent to the movie. You can find the links to all the movies here: http://tasvideos.org/NewMovies.html Edit: Sleepz's LoZ movie is also linked to on the page with Phil's LoZ movie.

I think this movie deserves a star. Edit: I just edited in the classes for this movie and clicked save, but when I go back to the page where you download the movie from, it still says (undefined), though if I click to edit it again, it shows the classes that I entered.

How about using the Death Mountain Descent glitch, and maybe somehow use Chris Houlihan's room as a shortcut. Also do the glitch that messes up the skull dungeon.

At frames 511xx, why did you dash all the way to the top of the screen rather than starting to walk diagonally sooner? I also noticed some other places where you could have walked diagonally more. Was that a mistake or was there a reason? Edit: Are you sure getting the third sword saves time? It seems quite a bit out of the way.

Has anyone compiled a list of info text for each level? I'd like to see that. If you open up the rom in Lunar Magic there's probably some way to see what all the info boxes say, though I don't know too much about Lunar Magic so maybe I'm wrong.

What exactly are you supposed to do with the red potion for this trick to work? I'm trying it now and nothing seems to be happening.

I don't have anywhere to upload it to, though. http://www.yousendit.com/ Type in an email address (made up if you want), select the file, click send it, and post the link here.

What I really wonder is how have you found all the extremely hard to find secret rooms (exits)? Because I don't think there is a guide for this game which explains them. There is a guide: http://www.reediejournals.com/blogs/87/archives/DemoWorldFAQ.txt

Viper, don't you think it would be a good idea to get the SMW minimalist run out of the way before you spend hundreds of hours on SDW?

Was that done on a real NES, Sleepz? If so, you could probably submit it to SDA even if you used glitches. They sometimes make separate categories for glitch runs, like SM64 for example.

You people should play this on a real NES so you can submit it to TG and try to claim the $25 bounty. http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=73&id=991

Well I'm pretty sure autofire only involves input, but I don't know anything at all about writing input plugins. Would anyone be willing to make an input plugin with autofire?

Lol, I wasn't serious about that, I just suggested it because it would please both BombAHead and Bag of Magic Food. As for what the code does, you can read all about it here at GameFAQs where it's been the most popular SMB3 topic for over 3 years: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=525245&topic=16043264

I was wondering if one of you people who knows how to make patches for emulators could do a favor for me. Would anyone be able to add an autofire option to PJ64 so I don't have to tire out my finger from tapping in DKR? If it would be too hard to add this to PJ64, does anyone know of any programs that let you repeatedly tap a key quickly by just holding it down? Another thing I'd like to have in PJ64 is frame advance. Even though PJ64 doesn't have re-recording, you'd be able to make save state movies for MK64 by using frame advance to do everything very accurately, and then just record the replay.

That video is far too slow. Really, really slow. My record is 58 seconds, but I had to put all 52 cards one by one, because in windows 98 there is no option to put all the cards at once. Can you make a vid of you playing solitaire?

Shouldn't you be able to hex edit it? I thought this game didn't have randomness, or if it does have a little like SMW then maybe you can add a few frames of delay to fix it like Viper did.

Is there any reason you chose to use the PRG1 version rather than the PRG0 version?

*loads up J rom followed by U rom and tests it out* That's interesting, I wonder why they would have changed that. Anyway, I don't think the power levels would affect a save state run at all since you're not gonna be getting hit at all anyway, though if it's true that the cannon fire rate is different then that could be a problem.

Oops, sorry about that, Foda, I meant to ask what exactly is easier about the US version, but I think you knew what I meant. Anyway, can you explain what the other differences are besides the fading at the beginning of the levels that would affect difficulty? Btw, sorry about accidentally deleting your post, Bag of Magic Food, but I put it back. Edit: Oops x3, I just noticed Bag of Magic Food already answered my question on the other page, I really need to pay more attention to things. *slaps own face* Anyway, are there any other differences?
