That would definitley be a lot faster since Mario virtually comes to a hault when he lands in the water.

I'm starting to think it might just be better to use the 1.2 version so we can get the Deku Stick on B. At least that would provide backup and would be faster because of overall less lag.

I couldn't get the GhostBusters theme out of my head so I voted yes. One thing I will say is what were the developers thinking when they decided that 23 flights of stairs was appropiate. Also the * SMS version of the game is a lot better, so shouldn't that be taken into consideration. *yeah it still sucks

So do I, but no one has sucessfully proved it yet. It's probably gonna require some pixel perfect side roll.

1-1 was not done by me. It was done by you and Lord_Tom (sorry if you have any problems with this). So was 1-2. There are no frames of lag whatsoever. I did however hex in four frames of wait at the end of 1-1
The issue isn't that it's the same input with the 4 frame delay at the end added. When I was TASing that level during the warped run, I spent weeks trying to avoid lag at that spot where you need to perform the mushroom glitch, but was never able to successfully do it. In the old WIP I linked I did manage it, but that is 1.5 frames behind. If you need to add the delay at the end of the level wouldn't it make more sense to use the WIP I linked in the previous post.

I have slight issues on the way you've done the first stage. 1-1 in your WIP is improvable by a frame. That is if you eliminate the frame of lag as demonstrated in one of my old WIP's shown here . It should be easilly hexable into the current WIP.

Adelikat and Lord_Tom are planning on working on it at some point. When then they'll begin working on it I don't know.

Mitjitsu The only real improvement is the 3 sec improvement on the rupee-route. I don't count the magic beans early since that's useless if u can't get across Gerudo Valley without hookshot, which I still don't think is possible.
It doesn't matter if it's only a 3 second improvement early on, it requires a radical strategy change. With that also comes randomness so we'd have to do Hyrule Field and Kakariko again. The Gerudo bridge skip is so marginal that it can't be deemed to be impossible Regardless there is a new WIP I've kept for the last few weeks.

Voted no because Marcokarty told me do it. If I refused I'd get a permanent ban.

New discoveries/improvements effectively mean we have to start all over again.

Ok, I guess I'll be the one with the guts to say it. I think 1 million is grossly overestimated. Perhaps it is a very high number because these guys have been working hard for 2 years and have managed to scrape every frame possible. But based on my experience and the rerecord counts of other movies on this site, I'd say 300-400k is more accurate. I'd rather have 1337 than something that over-reports the true value as something absurdly record breaking. In the end though, the rerecord count of a movie is at best an estimate. Perhaps we shouldn't worry too much it as a stat since it has already known to be a false count in so many situations.
I'd rather have an accurate (but conservative) estimate, rather than an absurd or comically low estimate. A million+ re-records is the equivalant to 5 years of hard work. There is definitley accurate methods that can be used to do it, such as using past movies Super Metroid movies. 220k I'd say is a reasonably safe estimate.

Publish this because it entertains many people, it'll be months before another run is done, and that run would probably be categorized differently anyway (compare 1p vs. 2p runs for other run&gun games).
They're only seperate when the 1p run is faster.

I want proof that it's possible to cross GV without hookshot or ISG.

The Angry Video Game Nerd is well known on this site, but has anyone seen The Nostalgia Critics videos? He basically does what AVGN does except for Movies and Tv shows. Personally having watched most of his videos I think he's better overall than AVGN. All his videos can be found here

I remember playing the Strip Mine track on Top Gear Rally with the beach ball car. In one of the tunnels located early on right hand side of the track. If you hug the wall on the right side while travelling at full speed you might be lucky enough to fall endlessly into the void. It was that point where I learned that all 3D games were essentially worlds created over a giant floating void.

The movie is too slow paced and trivial for my liking. However, I do find your submission text very informative.

I've never seen so much carnage before. Nobody seems to have been spared a dignified death, but did you have to kill the puppies in Mission 2 :'-) Yes vote, but I would have liked to have seen a 2p run.

I've never seen the bolded BLJs before (then again, I don't keep up with the new developments anymore), but if they worked, then that route would be all right.
Also want proof of this.

We still haven't settled on a new route, and I guess this will no doubt change it. Firstly you must successfully prove you can cross Gerudo bridge as AL without ISG or hookshot. Waits for someone to find a tecktite hover method into the pond. I'm not quite sure what the best method for getting 60r is in Kokiri apart from maybe additionally getting the blue ruppee in the shop and the one behind Mido's house. The YL route will be something like 1. Get sword + Shield + Stick 2. Old Forest Escape 3. SS to ZR using Peehat 4. Get Bean and return to HF 5. Water ESS to Kakariko (By this time it will nearly be night time) 6. Get Bottle and return to HF 7. Skip Owl, Water ESS, then use skullkid to SS to LH 8. Plant Bean 9. ?

That sort of information shouldn't really be traded between teams, it will likely cause the other teams to abandon or improve areas again.

The minimum speed to get a wall jump to work is 33, because of that we weren't able to wall jump immediately after entering the first door in Bowser's castle.

So whose actually working on the 120 star run? Since there is at least 5-6 people I can think of. Maybe you can break the record for the most authors of one submission. Maybe I should donate one star.
