My suggestion, to save a lot more exhorborant time, is to simply run through this game normally, using save states. This way, you will be a bit more familiar with exactly what you'll need and then you'll know precisely how many flying carpets you need, and definitively how much money is required at each point. This way, things will look a lot smoother. Also backing your savestates into a different folder every now and then helps. ^^ I know I did that anally with Shinobi for fear I'd screw everything up. And fall through the bottom of the screen about 14-15 times to trigger a Magic Potion that fills the screen with specialized symbols to grab, and of course a 100,000 bonus for getting them all. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Pfft! Don't worry about it! While some will complain you should wait a bit more between releases to allow people proper time to check each version, you simply go at what pace works for you. When you feel you're nearing the finalized version though, that's when I'd make an announcement about it being the next to final version and give people a few days to test everything... unless the discovery of something would affect alot of other things that would be tested. They all walk at a rate of 1 step every 4 frames if there's no lag or input.[/quote] Poopie! Well then I am entirely tapped out on this one for figuring out anything being possible... that was the only thing that even remotely came to mind as possibly making sense. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I'm sorry... is there anything one can vote but Yes for this incredible masterpiece?! [That'd be rhetorical Bob] I just wonder if there's some retarded timing difference in walking speed between any of the kids... only thing I can possibly come up with. I wish the other versions were available in .avi format for download so we could all witness the evolution of this run ^^ This was the run that got me interested a LONG time back. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

That gives me an idea, why not hide the voting results until voting has closed and then display the results, that way it avoids people holding votes back till the very end and casting them in the most influencial way.
I COMPLETELY Agree with this one! Mind you, if we could've found someone who was an entirely unbiased 3rd party who could've taken in all the votes and announced them at the end. [Mind you that's tough to do] Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I wouldn't mind seeing someone decimate Kid Kool... now there was a game with some serious speed, even if half the time things didn't make a fig of sense ^^;; Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

When they found supersliding, it became essential for the TAS. The old TAS mimiced the backwalking strategies used in speedruns. Sidehopping is incredibly hard to do in realtime consecutively, it is only noticeably faster when done frame optimally (pressing A 7 frames before Link touches the ground.)
How much faster is Supersliding compared to sidehopping and LinkMoonWalking? Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I'm sorry... I never did really agree with Air being published.. or even accepted and I still think that's the case here as well... mind you, it's an obvious improvement attempt, but fails to sway me. Sorry... just not an enteraining run for me. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I was slightly slower in the Hollywood boss battle simply because I was limited with ammunition this time, but it was still improvement with a capital "I"
Is there a way to somehow manipulate a bit more ammo or take a hit somewhere to conserve ammo to speed that up? I only ask, as guaranteed, that's going to be the first place any future TAS will look to clean up and save some extra frames. Otherwise, sounds like you're ready to get this badboy up ^_^ Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I must profess... 0 Star 4TW... I mean NO ONE expected it to happen.. hell a year or 2 ago no one would've thought it even possible, let alone really on the radar. The SMB1 run being taken down a notch loses out by about a quintillionth of a % for the same reason.. mind you SM64 is a lot more complex, so it's more of a surprise. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I;m sorry... I never did really agree with Air being published.. or even accepted and I still think that's the case here as well.. even if it does look a bit more polished. Seriously.. why all of these "hacks"? Why not focus energy on some worthwhile or underappreciated game? Hacks should be something very difficult to ever be accepted and if accepted, it should be because they are so well done, you'd half expect them to have been commercially available back in the day. [SDW borders on that line a lot, but overall pushes past it enough like the Lost Levels pushed past SMB1... imho] Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

While I believe the Sonic 3 & Knuckles run was insane... I honestly loved that little Blob! I mean no one expected that... it came out of freaking nowhere! S3&K... we all knew it was coming... a mile away at that.. and while it was awesome.. I dunno.. guess something that was a big surprise is more entertaining to me. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
