Absolutely unreal! I've watched several different runs for this on the Nes & Mame platforms, but nothing holds a candle to the superbness of your run. The rope trick definitely won me over. Definite Yes vote ^^ Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I must admit, it wasn't a bad game... but I did get a bit bored. :( The mention of learning how to kill those white men later in the game made me wonder why you didn't start over and take 'em down in 1-3... kinda killed the entertainment factor, inadvertently. I must agree with Adelikat and others though. Hell it may be, but a 2 player run would be far more impressive for the carnage it could provide. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

As horrific a game as this is, it was absolutely phenomenal to see it be whipped so hard. I can honestly say, this would be a difficult feat on a real console, even when one knows what they're doing! The game sucked, but the playing made its quick end tolerable. It's pushing Meh from crappiness, but gets a Yes due to pwnage. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I liked Bob A's answer. This run is going to be a minimalist run. Therefore, I won't be getting the sword of kings if I don't need to use it.
I say screw it and just get it anyways, even if you don't use it. I figure, if it's an exceptionally rare drop, even with no use, it'd add to the "HOLY SHIT!" factor for a lot of fans who never have seen it happen in their own gaming experiences, and it also keeps with the minimalist effect too. :) Mr. Kelly R. Nice SMB2 movie, sir! 8/9 rating and a yes vote from me.
o.o? Am I missing some joke here... or are you being deprived of sleep and think every new movie is SMB2? And to the point, while this is a great improvement, I will refrain from voting in case another improvement pops up soon enough. Wayyyyy too many improvements in too short of a time. I feel bad for the encoders ^^;; Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I have to vote no... for a few reasons; 1. Not a "U" rom. There is NOTHING wrong with the "U" rom whatsoever. 2. I'm sorry... Death as a Shortcut? It's a RESCUE Mission! Props for using the Hardest Difficulty level and all... but the main point should be doing it WITHOUT losing any of your men. Now I know it takes a bit more time to comandeer them into place, but I mean it also shows off extreme skill, since on this difficulty level, it's an absolute pain in the ass to pull off, let alone consistently. [Granted, this is personal opinion] Did you use Frame Advance through this, or did you play real time? It did come off with some jerky moments at points where it was difficult to tell. It's not bad, but using a U rom and a bit of improvement can make it better. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Well, thought it wasn't bad... this got an immediate No vote from me for the following reasons; 1. Re-Record count of 176? Um... this is a TAS which is supposed to go for perfection... and 176 re-records doesn't make me believe it's going to be anywhere near perfect. 700-100 is the most minimal amount I'd expect. 2. The following are why you should attempt to redo this run with this experience under your belt;
I could have saved a few frames by being more precise on frames for turning (I'm late a few times).
I see a few spots to shave off maybe half a second or so with the jumps and candles, oh well.
Pirates of the Carribbean... the whole level essentially.. due to the errors you pointed out. There was a few more, but I will get to those later as I have to finish getting ready for a meeting and awards banquet. Please don't feel that these comments are intended to be negative, as I only mean them to be the opposite. For your first ever attempt, it wasn't too bad, in all honesty. My suggestions? Try and use Frame Advance where ever possible to ensure every jump and move is optimized. Re-records are your friends :) Some of the best movies have incorporated over 100,000!!! in re-records to ensure perfection is attained every step of the way. Use this run as the practice for your next run. With this, you KNOW the rough route you have to take and can plan it a lot better, knowing where you can improve. Is it always better to use an invincibility to plow through enemies, or is it faster overall to practice avoidance? And finally... is that the most optimised position for all the kids for their questions, or is there another order to which you can arrange them to save even more time? That's it ^^ I wish you the best of luck and look forward to your next attempt, which I am confident, will blow this one away ^^ Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Holy poop on a stick! Now THAT! Was entertainment! My only complaint? This game is too short! I mean I had to watch it at LEAST 3 times to get the minimum fill from it ;) And those bounces! I mean there's more bounces then Trampoline Night at the Playboy Mansion in that! Freaking Star for sure baby! Now... if even half of these moves are possible on a console... oooh yeah! Mr. Kelly R. It's sad that after getting Erdrick's Armor, that dying, going to the castle and then going on back up isn't faster then simply walking all that way from Haukness :( Interesting new pathway you've developed and I especially liked it when "!" was tripping out and thought he was a Ballerina ;) Definite Yes vote here ^^ Mr. Kelly R. Now to just find something to be accomplished. I'd go for trying to hit 1,000,000 points, but I fear that would take about an hour and a half.
Yeah, about that... and the game doesn't even roll over! It just shows garbled stuff in the score! It kinda looks cool honestly. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

The run sofar is really nice, and in my opinion it would be a waste of time redoing it. No one will notice those few frames, and a movie which would copy all your strategies and include this small trick would never be accepted...
Oh really! May I point out... the SMB2 issue? Trust me... I wouldn't say it wouldn't be if a redone video suddenly dropped 300-500 frames... it'd just be preferable if it was done by the same author(s) and with perhaps an added trick. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I still don't really know of a goal to reach either. Does anyone have any idea what I could do for a game like this?
What I'd find funny is if you pulled of a trick I did by accident a while back. Essentially, one of the tire popping cars ran into me as I went through a puddle, and instead of spinning off the road, I actually was able to control the car ^^ The thing is, I couldn't shoot, but I could keep going full tilt and avoid cars ^^ It was an absolute riot to see happen, and I think it'd be intriguing. Perhaps the key is not the earliest possible frame, but shortly afterwards? I'm not an expert in this kind of field, but I mean it's a random enough thought that could produce the desired effect. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

284 = 4^4 + 4! + 4 And someone please correct me if I am so horrendously wrong with this next one since I am really sick atm and brain is wanting to just sleep all day... 285 = [ 4!(4!) / √4 ] - {√4}?
