iirc, RBA adds some items but removes others, ie impossible to use in 100%...
I'm pretty sure this has been hashed and rehashed in this thread before, but this argument doesn't work because the trading quest also does this.
it seemy you haven't understood, what is meant by "removes items". for example if you do RBA with the "broken bigoron sword" you always delete the light medaillon, which can't be reobtained during the run. thus finishing the game with all items is impossible then. you get what I want to say?

there's no problem with posting it apart from being lazy. I'll write it down on ZSR some time this week, I think. after well, we hover over the kakariko gate and go to DC. then we go to Zora's River via lost Woods by pre-loading the warp area.

ringrush's route is still very different to the new all temples TAS route slowking and I created. there are many new tricks and breaks, which will give us a time around 2:25. means, you can save almost half an hour of bloob's TAS ;) and about the "hey, skulltula's take too long, skip them in 100%". ehm, where's the 100% then if you skip such important stuff? :/

I have never been a fan of that Japanese rom stuff so as long as there is no major difference in the glitches I will won't switch the roms. I mean something like a new uber mega flip or something

not true. I saved a lot of explosives by cutting down the number of needed explosives by 1 at many places, so there is a lot more. probably 20 together with the FFWW. that route posted there is very old, slowi.

why does everybody ask me that? :( if you watch it carefully you'll realize, that I switch from deku back to normal link and then back to link again while not having the zora mask equipped in the woodfall area. I can't skip that scene without loosing more time in the end. and thanks that you all like that WIP :)

yeah, ISG was discovered by a guy, that had nothing to do with SDA. Fierce then found the Hover Glitch in July 2006

I think I already told you my opinion about it bloob. you did a great job with discovering the analog slide, which was really useful for this TAS to save time and to get rid of the annoying Z-sound when sliding. the TAS is greatly optimized, of course there are a few improvements due to new discoveries, but also 1-2 minor things I saw that are improveable. those doesn't really matter, though

A completely optimized run we do not need! All we're saying is that we want to see a 100% run, even if it's nor perfect. Non-TAS runners can do it, so why can't TAS runners?
you understood the purpose of TASing yet, right?

a 100% TAS of this game? - not even in your dreams it would be basicly a 4 hour TAS project. but not just that, the time it takes to plan such a run is already ridicolus. it took me and slowking already months to plan the any% run (bomb uses etc.) the any% run is already taking me over a year now and I'm a bit more than half through it. thus a pretty optimized 100% run would take 2-3 years to make. nobody will ever do that

we defined low% a long while ago already on ZSR and a RBA low% run requieres actually even more items than a no RBA low% run. low% has a route that differs a lot from all the other categories and includes some amazing tricks. if you just look at the entertainment, low% is by far the most entertaining OoT category, believe me. if OoT wouldn't take so fucking long to TAS, I'd actually do that TAS ;)

I want to try a TAS competition for this game and OoT. As it will probably not be very successfull, it will end again after Task 2 or 3. There's no need for you to be good at TASing this game at all, it's more about having fun and learning it ;) Here's the thread about it: http://forums.zeldaspeedruns.com/index.php?topic=390.msg6267#msg6267

the WIP they showed us of course didn't use 110k rerecords, that's just something I have to mention. the WIP used 22k rerecords alltogether, but they counted the rerecords of their old WIP which had 80k as well. 110k rerecords for a 9 minutes section of which 5 minutes are cutscene would be a bit too ridicolus^^

fast forwarding makes no difference at all. the thing that causes desynches is lag difference. you have 60 controlable frames for 20 pictures so 3 frames per picture. now let's say at some point because of the lag I have 4 frames for 1 picture when TASing. then you have a different RSP plugin that can handle lag a bit better you have no lag at the same point and still 3 frames for 1 picture, all the inputs are now displaced, which the desynch. when there's lag is always the same when you use the same input and the same plugins each time ;)

the best TASer on this side has striked once again. really nice job, it's always amazing to see how much dedication you put into your TASes ;) anything else than a yes vote would be a joke

oh, totally overread "input plugin" As the input plugin has no effect on the ability of synching a TAS, I just assumed he was refering to the video plugin. most important things when trying to synch a TAS are the video plugin, RSP plugin and audio plugin. sometimes the emulator version is also important, but as I said already, not being able to synch mukki's TAS doesn't mean you are using the wrong emulator or something. synching mukki's TAS is often really random ;)

we usually use Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 no idea, what mukki used, his run is nearly unsynchable any way. you have to create a .fla file before playing it back first or something like that. for my run I use the one I posted
