There are four files on that page available for download. The first two are CLIs the second two are GUIs.

Petrie -- It looks like I'll have to redo from Pirate's Fortress anyway. I very much doubt that I'll get to the ranch in time. It's 2:00am that gives me 1:30 to visit the bomb shop, get into the Goron race, win the Goron race, pick up 3 chests and get into Romani Ranch. Considering that the race itself will take up an hour this probably won't happen. I'll optimise up to the ranch to see what time I get there at and then I'll have a better idea of when to redo from. I can see where you're coming from with the Wizzrobe fight. Although he become damageable on the same frame regardless of approach the extra speed of rolling as opposed to running after this barrier has been past should save a few frames (after time taken to come out of the roll and punch has been taken into account). Considering this then arrows could be the fastest method for the same reason, although I'll have to weigh it out against time lost transforming out of Goron form.

The 'bad seam' isn't before the invisible wall, and even if it was the upper floor of the castle isn't even loaded so you couldn't get anywhere. Also, MIPS can only be used in the basement and taken outside as far as I know.

I'm using r565, which is about 8 months out of date. It's served me well, but you'd have a tough time finding it. The latest is r655 so you should try that, it's on the page I linked to. However, if it still doesn't work it'll probably be down to your computer. I've found x264 to be quite tempermental at times.

Link enjoys a smooth, refreshing, glass of Goht's milk before moving on Snowhead Temple is done.
Notes -- 1) I tested sidehopping hovers instead of backflip hovers but they turned out slower. This was because a) sidehops descend faster meaning that whilst trying to stay on the same pixel level less distance is covered b) they cause more lag. 2) The Wizzrobe fights are optimised. If I get too close too early they disappear. Veteran players know this, but just to anyone else watching who is unfamiliar. 3) The Goht battle is extremely random. Where I shoot arrows from is as far back as I could get to a) hit it b) not get hit by it (this was very irritating) and c) to optimise the distance to get a spiked Goron roll before the first hill after the battle. 4) Minus cutscenes etc. this is faster than Swordless Link's movie (a movie which was very helpful). 5) The time is 2:00am. My route says that I need to win the Goron race, collect a few chests, make a few bomb shops visits and then get to the ranch by 3:30am. This sounds very ambitious...
Also, I'm halfway there! The rest of the movie shouldn't be as difficult/tedious and it looks like pretty good fun from here.

Which OS are you using? If it's Vista that may explain it. I've heard that there are AVI problems with it. That's about all I can think of. LG - It sounds like you downloaded the CLI version. You need to download and install the GUI version and it should show.

Use x264. It's much better than Xvid. I doubt best results are your main concern at the moment so just set it to 200 and execute.

Have you ever had problems watching the site's avi's? Also, what compression codec are you using?

Whoa, that was simply breath-taking. I really hope he finishes it. Breakneck speed TASes are always great, but this makes the eyes bleed. I am most definitely on the edge of my seat waiting for this.

Compost -- If you changed the file name when you saved it using invalid characters it'll disappear. Update -- Today I got as far as the Goht battle, but I realised an optimisation so I'm redoing about half the temple. Goht was giving me a bit of a headache anyway. Expect a WIP within the next few days.

Ah, that was great. It looked very much improved and all. You know I'll be keenly following this :D Also, if anyone else wants to see it I've recorded an AVI and I'm just about to send MEncoder to work on it's ass. I'll post it here when it's done.

mwl - Nice. Petrie - I won't have the explosives for the the first one, I don't think. The second should work. Also, since I have to live without RAM watch, is there anywhere I can get a list of boss/miniboss HP and damage strength of all Link's attacks? With so many fights coming up such a thing would be nice :)

I have 1 bomb and 4 chus. I'm in the wizzrobe room now. Minus cutscenes etc I'm quite a bit faster through general optimisation. That TAS is imperfect. The Wizzrobe battle can be faster, the bomb hovers should be sidehops, Goron punch through Snowballs are the main changes that I know of. Am I missing anything?

Voting Yes. Excellent improvement. Excellent run. Watched all the WIPs and thoroughly enjoyed them all. It's sad to see FODA's run obsleted, but I think that this is certainly a worthy successor which, in itself, is no easy task. Very well done.

Hey RattleMan. Welcome to tasvideos. It sounds like you have an already previously saved file. If you delete all save files then you shouldn't get a select screen desync, Anyway, I'm finally inside Snowhead Temple, here's the latest .m64 file to sink your teeth into. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5427/Zelda%20Majora%27s%20Mask%20TAS.m64

Congratulations Rikku. I haven't really watched anything since WDW. I'd download a WIP just to find that a newer one had been posted, so I stopped :P The work gone into this was great and I eagerly await the submission. Good luck with BitS.

Excellent. When I saw the submission I had a pretty good idea of what it would look like, and I was mostly correct, but there was so much here that surprised me which was great (I never expected 'hot-foot it into the volcano'). Having seen this I don't think sub-15 is possible, although it will still be a while before perfection is a reality. Voting Yes with great pleasure :)

Voting Yes. I think that this was an interesting game to run; the variety of moves and levels was pretty nice and some of the tricks were pretty cool. I was fairly entertained throughout. Technically I couldn't really see anything worth improvement (I've never played this). Nice work, Adelikat.

Fast forwarding doesn't affect if it syncs. Frame 92000, off the top of my head, sounds like entering the bomb shop at the start of the second cycle. If your desync is here using Jabo 1.5.2 then you need to use Rice and it'll work. Or you have a really old .m64 where entering the bomb shop had a desync.

You know you have my yes vote. This run is extremely well planned and executed and of course very highly optimised. I'd been hoping to see a run of this for a while and this was great.

You're right, this is like Tetrisphere. My problem with that run was that it was too long and repetitive for what it offered and the concept was confusing. I like this game more. I've never played it, but it seems quite interesting. It's also a much shorter movie which is good and I never really got bored here. However, it does seems somewhat too short and anti-climatic (yet I think 5 minutes of this would definitely be too much). The score is also astronomical when compared to the WR which does make this more impressive and a good example of a puzzle game TAS. I'll give this a yes vote, but I'd rather have seen a MMF WIP :P

I watched this, then I watched it again alongside the currently published run to see just how different the cheats make it. I don't think the cheats offer enough new to merit a separate publication. I'm pretty familiar with this game and but I didn't find this movie particularly entertaining (from the cheat perspective, of course the play was great). All I really noticed different were the higher jumps and this is not enough imo.

bkDJ has recorded some nice .mkvs. You can download them here. They are almost exactly like my current .m64, but a few things here and there have been changed.
