This might be obvious but you might want to set the time of this game to be during the day because in the morning, Joggers will challenge you and at night, Officers will challenge you.

EDIT: I've been told that there was only a PAL version. Ill have to start all over!
There were no region lockouts between European master systems and US ones. So that PAL cart could (and would) play fine on a US master system, where it would run at 60FPS instead of 50. Additionally, the Game Gear version was released in the US, and I do not know of any version differences between the SMS and Game Gear versions except for display resolution.
Actually, in the Master System version, there are spikes right underneath Mecha Green Hill Zone's Boss.

I've discovered a glitch that could shorten the Tool-Assisted Speedrun of this game (when a decent DS emulator is created) by a few seconds...and possibly if this could occur elsewhere. After Prefect Charyb was defeated, I moved toward the left and a dialogue scene popped up when it shouldn't have! When I was done, I went outside and another dialogue scene immediately came up. When it was all done, I found myself teleported to Ix's lair. These particular dialogue scenes weren't supposed to appear until a little later. My guess is that the game confused the trigger points for them to appear with the earlier one involving activating the switch.

AHEM. Hey, jaded Sonic Fans! You're either completely ignoring or forgetting (and, either way, it's a crime) about these recent gems, according to GameRankings: Sonic Advance: 83.4% Sonic Advance 2: 85.7% Sonic Advance 3: 80.0% Sonic Rush: 82.8% Sonic Rush Adventure: 80.2% Though I suppose I can't entirely blame you; after all, handheld Sonic games have been either ignored or forgotten since the very beginning.

(O_O) Please tell me how it works!!!! And in regards to TASing, maybe players should also take into account what gender they pick, because the one they didn't pick will be in the game was a sort of rival and he/she might have different speeches.

5 hours of a pokemon knockoff? O_O You'd have to be a pretty hardcore fan of the game to even attempt to sit through that.
Excuse me?! I most distinctly recall seeing commercials of the original Digimon virtual pet a least a year before Pokemon came out here!

PLEASE post WIPs! ...Particularly of the don't-have-to-download-emulator-and-correct-rom variety. Oh, and, uh...cue "Hallelujah Chorus".

I do hope that another skip-as-much-as-possible run gets sent in and accepted soon. It doesn't look too good if an all-dungeons run is slower than the shorter run by a small percentage.

Why is this thread not in the Game Boy section (combined with the other Link's Awakening thread to boot)?

Maybe next time, you can attempt a run of the Four Swords portion with four players.

I was going to add a version of the run that completes the game without using pausescreens, not using the MB glitch, and saving the animals. But due to some annoying obstacles towards the end I got delayed and my motivation for a second version faded. However if there is demand for it I will still amke it, but in a few days if so
Oh yes please, no stopping the action, no silly glitch and yes saving the creatures that will ultimately return the favour in Metroid Fusion!

You sure came up with this fast. And I never thought I'd see a Super Smash Bros. run with 100% votes.

I wonder if, five years from now, we'll be having the same argument about the Adventure mode in SSBM.

IIRC the bane sword doesn't work as well in the GBA version, that was one of the issues with TAS planning.
Oh goodie! That means the run would be more different..and more entertaining as we actually witness the Warriors of Light laying some smackdown!

...I meant full runs that haven't been done yet (hint, hint). And from Wikipedia: Collecting the seven time stones, only possible in the special stage, automatically guarantees that the player will reach the good ending even if one of the previously completed zones did not have a Good Future, and that all futures of upcoming zones will be good as well.

Oh Nitsuja and/or Upthorn, God(desse)s of the Sonic TASes, PLEASE do a run that has a Good Ending! I'm down on bended knees here! ...or a full run for any other Sonic game for that matter.

This movie last a few seconds so you're not accepting it? By that definition, Monopoly shouldn't be published so many times!

In that case, there are only two things left to do: get the DOSBox emulator's rerecording working properly and do an all-points run of this game!

When a DOS emulator with decent rerecording features becomes available, would a run of the DOS version of this game automatically obsolete this SMS run? Just like with Adventure Island?
