Awww. Can't we just use a different emulator? Surely others can do as good a job.

I wonder if it would be feasible to make a TASrun of this game. Let's see, when you face the front and don't push Z, that's when the Zero-One goes the fastest so you'd have to keep your view centered as much as possible and hold Z for very few frames when snapping photos. Also, there are two different credits: one that you get every time you beat the previous score for Mew's photograph; another that you get only once when you take a picture of all 63 Pokémon in the game. So which set of credits should we focus on getting? Maybe even both?

About the avatar thing, I noticed that FractalFusion was using a Solrock avatar from what he said was a good part of the run (In the submission). I liked it too, and I took a Lunatone avatar to match his, as he was the one who helped me most with this run.
Oh. How nice! Now if memory serves me correct, Team Magma's base and Team Aqua's base have different layouts so it might be faster to traverse one than the other. Of course, we also have to take into consideration the fact that they use different Pokemon...

I wonder if buying Escape Ropes would help at all. And by the way, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Fractal Fusion and kirbymuncher have opposing avatars on purpose!

Now THIS is an original plot...for a video game, that is. It would be nice to see someone attempt this and even rescue all of the other people too.

These games may be remakes but they are very different remakes with mechanics and graphics from the newer games. You can't glitch whatever Pokemon you want, Abilities and holding Items are included, the Special stat has been split into Special Attack and Special Defense, etc. So a TAS run might be accepted...just like Metroid: Zero Mission!

You're not alone. I loved Tails' Adventure! (sob) Is there still no adequate Game Gear emulator?

How about a run with both Rounds? The Pokémon that you rent and the opponents' Pokémon are quite different and you get to rent (Woohoo!) Mew in the the second Round's Prime Cup.

I wonder if it would be possible to manipulate this game to to have the stairs next to you when you go to the next floor every time. And to correct my previous statement from a while back; you can choose your partner from among Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip and Pikachu but it can't be the same type as your starter: for example, if you got Psyduck as a starter then Squirtle, Totodile or Mudkip can't be your partner.

Now that all the main Pokémon games (that are doable) are done, let's see if we can't get this spin-off run and published!

According to GameFaqs, 'by opening the Menu often out in the field, you will encounter enemies much less often.'

If I'm not mistaken, you can run in the Overworld only in the English version which would definitely make it faster to use it instead of the Japanese version.

Technically, this isn't an improvement but how about using the English version this time so people can understand what's going on (if only to a limited extent)?

HOLY CRAP, IT'S A HUGE BIRD!! Yes, shooting that particular large asteroid results in it laying an egg, which hatches into a bird, which, if I had touched it, would have taken me Out Of This Dimension.
Whoa. I've heard of Easter Eggs but this is ridiculous! Er... Just out of curiosity, would a Tool-Assisted-Speedrun of the finished yet unreleased Star Fox 2 be accepted?

Uh, not to sound naive but...I don't suppose you could glitch a Mewtwo, could you?

And another thing; you could manipulate the results in order to get the best cards.

Shortly after the previous run was submitted, a subtle trick which can be used to reach top speed 5 frames faster from a standstill was discovered.
Don't you just hate it when that happens? All that hard work done and a few days, instead of a few months, later, someone finds something to make it better. Now can we PLEASE have a Chaos Emerald run accepted? They published the one for Sonic 3 & Knuckles after all!
Your prayers have been answered heres the original submission Fat chance of it ever being accepted now. Plus it would also be hyphocrisy to accept a new one anyway.
Oooh, thank you! It desyncs (that's what it's called, right?) for me after awhile but thanks anyway! Hmmm.... Maybe it would be faster if the Special Stage was entered in other Acts.

And maybe afterwards, you could attempt Sparkster! I've heard the ones for the SNES and Sega Genesis are very different from each other...

Power Bounce doesn't do unlimited damage either. You can only do it about 5 times before the game forces you to stop. It seems that the number of times you're allowed to do it is also random but I haven't seen more than 6. I was doing this with frame percision of course, so unless I was pressing A on the wrong frame (possible, I kept doing it on the frame or a couple frames right before Mario lands on the enemy but you might have to press it even earlier) Power Bounce damage is relatively meager.
That is not true! I was able to do between 20 and 30 Power Bounces once and I did it using an actual Nintendo 64.
