Wiki pages can now contain embedded DailyMotion video. This means you can now display DailyMotion videos in your movie submissions. Documentation here. This is in addition to the existing YouTube, Viddler, and Flowplayer (archive.org) support. Some bugs in the aforementioned modules have also been fixed, and more goodies yet to come.

So here's an interesting question, does dying in a bonus room count as using death as a shortcut?

Nice additions. DKC2 really deserved it. Speaking of the moon, perhaps we consider giving it to more runs? We have a bunch of runs that perhaps aren't groundbreaking enough for a first timer, but are notable for members of the site. Commander Keen 5 is notable as being for DOS, a popular franchise that we haven't really tapped into, and beats known records. (not to mention, if you don't know about the glitches, you're shocked) Then perhaps we should consider some games for a moon that didn't quite make the star cut, or were replaced by something else? Family Feud? Battle of Olympus? We could easily enough add a lesser recommended but still recommended section. Yay? Nay?

Its been a standard on our site since near its inception.

Why not put a banner instead of a misleading link ?
Because we're being paid a lot of money to have an inline link.

Doesn't this cause confusion and gather click to a site that pays for each click on the link ? I know it's not a big deal, but I find this mislead to receive a couple of cents for some clicks.
We don't get paid per click.

Notice the icon next to the link telling you it navigates away from our site?

If there already is a published video, do not use a different ROM than what it uses, unless the new ROM is obviously better, and you can show how it should be compared to the existing movie. This game also has so many branches as is, it doesn't warrant alternate ROM image versions, which only has minor differences.

Also I like how this run is starting to look like MegaRockMan 1's with all the getting into a corner to skip a screen.
Now if only he started doing the same with RockMegaGlitchMan 4.

MegaMan has really gotten addicted to refilling Super Arrow, hasn't he? I liked this run because:
Eddie helped! You pulled off a successful Power Stone strategy against ChargeMan! That seems annoying to perfect. Pre-emptive strike against a boss with the Super Arrow! When I saw that I thought, "Will that kill him? No, it only took 1 notch. But wait, if the weakness does 3 notches, then the Super Arrow already took care of the remainder after 9 shots do 27!"
This game could have used more dialog boxes, though.
I agree strongly with all of this. Marry me.

Add this to the list of considerations. http://tasvideos.org/2701S.html See my acceptance speech for why I think it deserves a star.

I'm still pushing for Lemmings to get a star, and a fighting game, perhaps Mortal Kombat 3. However right now, Mega Man 5 by GlitchMan needs a star.

Excellent job on this run. Finally a new impressive Mega Man (5) movie! Great job with lag management, and weapon management. I also like how you turned ChargeMan's stage into GlitchMan's stage. Very impressive movie. Very impressive movie. Oh, someone submit this run to the Star committee. Do it, or StarMan gets killed in a brutal fashion.

This thread is against the goals of TASing, despite being in the off topic forum. I'd appreciate if you don't start threads like this in the future, thanks.

Read this: http://x264dev.multimedia.cx/?p=377 Seems VP8 isn't even close to H.264 (especially x264) in terms of format, quality, size, or speed. Also, with H.264, the patent issue is clear. VP8 is a patent nightmare waiting to happen.

It the same moves as in the SNES thread. However the Alpha series have special combo moves which involve doubling up on the regular commands. Shinkuu Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku is down, down+back, back, down, down+back, back+kick. Instead of Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku's down, down+back, back+kick. Pressing 2 or 3 kick buttons at the end there instead of just one will make it stronger.

Each character has their own move set. The moves are generally one of the following: Pressing a punch or kick button repeatedly. Press down then up and punch or kick. Press back then forward and punch or kick. Do a quarter roll and punch or kick. A quarter roll would be down towards forward, or forward towards down, down towards back or anything along those lines. For example, Ken & Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku (Hurricane Kick) is down, down+back, back+kick. There's a few other moves combos but that's the gist of 90% of them.
