Not much discussion here. Is it in your opinion that these people most deserve the title of creating the most difficult to make movies? If you think someone should be added or removed from the list speak now. Acmlm Arc Bisqwit Genisto Phil SleepZ SprintGod Edit: I just wanted to add my reasons for adding Bisqwit. He has shown that for most the movies he made, to plan like crazy for them. For Castlevania, he had to decide which was the best weapon strategy, where to get what, and how many hearts to pick up. For Castlevania 2, there's a lot of time involved and all sorts of places to go, the planning for this was quite complex. For Kirby's Adventure, a lot of work went into deciding which weapons payed off the most in the long run, and how to do things without cluttering up the screen which would cause the game to slow down. Finally for Mega Man, a lot went into deciding the level order, and calculating pixels to the frame how longs things take to know what's best to do where, and reaching the end of levels with exact energy. He's also used many rerecords in a lot of them which indicates they were not easy to make. Although he has admitted not being so good skill wise at some games, which explains for some high rerecord counts. Do notice Phil and Genisto's Castlevania run which was better had a lower rerecord count. Also realize rerecord counts could be easily edited so they should be taken with a grain of salt.

You may begin voting. I'd like to thank Walker Boh and Zoizite for being the only ones to give some sort of link to their nominated movie so I'd have a clue which movie was being referred to.

That's a glitch in Snes9x, try ZSNES if you want better sound. Although unforunetly the OBC-1 emulation in ZSNES screws up in the ending, so the credits are a bit garbled.

TheAxeMan, if your ROM is hacked, then Snes9x won't show the sprites in Metal Combat. FYI, NSRT can fix the hacked Metal Combat ROM floating around.

But of course. A lot of entertainment comes from the game itself. Take Secret Collect for example, no matter what you do in the game, it's not going to be entertaining for more than a few seconds.

You had to revive a dead topic just for a pathetic comment like that? What is this world coming to? Just for that I feel forced to lock this thread, may this be a lesson to you. ;)

If you were looking for someone else do the run, Noxious Ninja on the ZBoard mentioned he's working on this game, but I haven't heard from him since the initial mention of it.

Most entertaining is the movie you found to enjoy watching the most, you could see it several times, and still be entertained by watching the movie. Most unbelievable is a movie for a game you know, and you see stuff being done that you couldn't fathom were possible. For some examples how you can have one but not the other, take SleepZ's River City Random movie. It's very entertaining watching people getting hit with a garbage can and reading some of their funny comments, but there's nothing there that you didn't know you could do before. Then there's Morimoto's Gradius movie, never fathomed of only getting speed and doing figure 8s around enemy craft, but on the other hand, it's not funny at all and highly repetive, so you may only find it entertaining for a short time. Finally there is the best movie category, in which winners from previous categories are eligible for, in which you choose which movie had the best combination and overall value from the best of each category. ANGERFIST: you seem like your nominating this movie, not for best entertainment, but for best movie. "If a movie is not even close to be improved after it has been voted to be published then it states the quality of the movie, the efficiency, the performance, the entertainment value. " Of the different qualities you stated, only the last one is to be taken into account for this category.

nitsuja: Yes, PoP2 is not eligible this year. On another note, I watched the run, and I have to comment how totally stupid the SNES version of the game is compared to the PC version. Since the SNES version of PoP went over and beyond every other port of PoP, what in the world happened for the second one? For the SNES version, graphics are signifigantly worse, levels are shortened, some parts like the fight on the bridge is much easier, the last level was deleted. That last one is the most suprising, why in the world did they delete the excellent final showdown with Jaffar and the Prince?

I found murder beam to be one of the most annoying things ever, angling missles and regular shots correctly and avoiding the attacks and still getting your own in seems a lot more interesting to me. Since the SNES games don't have too many glitches, this is a harder topic to nominate for... I'll nominate Mega Man X by DeHackEd http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=300 Skipping a lot of Flame Mammoth's level by jumping into an enemy chute is great. I also like how he jumped around the trigger for Vile to start yakking.

While I have been improving ZSNES for a while now, my ZSNES improvemnts that are movie related were done recently, and not entirely done yet, this site does not yet accept ZMVs. I think I should be nominated for next year, not this year.

Good, then make a run like that and call it a warp run or smth, then do a regular run.

Um guys, this game IIRC has a major glitch. I forgot exactly how to do it, but basically, if you loose your first fight, then select something in the options menu, when you continue, you're on the last level. Or perhaps this was intentional...

For questions about what version of ZSNES that is, you should read the whole thread, and ask such questions there.
