I'm voting Yes. This is obviously different enough from RTA play because of how soon input ends, which would justify it having a TAS. Just because it's short doesn't mean much.
How could two runs that both have no input in them be distinguishable?

Very impressive! This game and TASes of it bring back a lot of fond memories for me. Voting yes.

I voted meh. For being three minutes it was pretty samey and the consistent stopping to open doors sort of hurt the momentum.

I tried TASing this game a while ago. I didn't make any real progress because I'm horrible at committing to projects even to this day but I did find a trick: if you kill yourself when you touch the goal it replaces the little "you win" jingle with the "you died" jingle, which saves a bit of time. Unfortunately it takes away a life every time it's used, so future TASes of this game will have to use life management and adjust routes to pick up 1ups... sorry if I make this game sound more intimidating now, but it's all in the name of saving those frames!

I wouldn't star Splatterhouse, despite being a fan of the game. It's kind of slow and it's not terribly diverse. Coca Cola Kid isn't something that hugely appeals to me, but if it's a quota thing... well, I can't see any other GG games ever getting a Star, so sure, I suppose.

I tried TASing this game before but gave up because it's laggy and those hostage rescue missions are terrible. Your video looks good but at the end of the level you can duck to skip that fanfare music.

Feos' rating of 1 is clearly dragging down that Last Ninja TAS by a lot. I personally don't think it's moon material, but it's a recent publication with only 3 votes. Moving it to vault would probably be jumping the gun.

So based on their current ratings and the relatively low production value on these games, with all respect to the creators of the respective movies, I believe that the following should be moved from Moon tier into the Vault.
Noo I'm going to cry!!! ...actually no, I think Spyman should probably be vaulted. No opinion on Syobon Action. I think Nikujin is a sweet TAS though, would go to bat for that one. As for me, I think [891] NES The Karate Kid by nitsuja in 03:09.12 should probably be in Moons, but I may be alone on that.

This game has some real good music. Anyway, this TAS looks pretty good, and has some nice glitch abuse that sets it apart from other generic platformer TASes. I'll give it a yes vote. I should note that trying to play the TAS back in the emulator caused it to crash. I think there might be an issue with the emulator version used to record the run?

The ratings don't decide the tier - that's already decided before publication.
They do though. If a Moon dips below 5.6 in entertainment value it generally heads to Vault. A TAS being sent to a tier by a judge isn't the last time it gets changed. Oh, but even though adelikat said that authors rating own movies doesn't affect the overall, it DOES affect the average entertainment/tech values shown on the ratings page, so this could be troubling.

I dunno. How often do you see a forum thread on a TAS get up in arms because it was on hard? I dunno about you, but I've never.

...do you know how ignorant that sounds? That's like saying "Just accept the most offensive jokes thrown at you because nobody will hate or attack you for it. Plain and simple.".
Huh? Am I missing something here? How are these two situations comparable?
I'm sure you'd like to believe that it works that way, but it doesn't. Regardless of the choice taken, there will someone that'll complain about it.
Well there's always the chance someone will complain about something. But let's say a run like Warp describes is submitted. What would there be to complain about re: difficulty that couldn't be easily dismissed? I'm not thinking of anything.

Why'd you not use Easy mode? I admittedly don't remember if this game has one or not, but my post in khv user's run says it does, so I must trust myself. Also, this game is real dull.
