I liked watching this run. I did a longplay of this game for the cubex55 channel. Man, it's so annoying. I hate how many leaps of faith you have to make. I would vote Yes on an optimal version.

Haha, special thanks to Joel, Mike, Tom, Crow, Gypsy, Frank and Clayton? I had a good WTF moment when that showed up.

OMG IT'S IRRITATING STICK! Voting meh, this was pretty much "Optimized Maze Completion" but the voices were pretty funny.

There's an error in the publication. The publication lists just Chef Stef as the author, instead of Chef Stef & Kiwisauce.
Somebody with the authority needs to create another player over at the player's list, then we can add it.

Besides, doesn't 7zip make zip files? The 7 means it supports 7 different formats.
7-Zip is a file archiver with the highest compression ratio. The program supports 7z (that implements LZMA compression algorithm), LZMA2, XZ, ZIP, Zip64, CAB, RAR (if the non-free p7zip-rar package is installed), ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO, RPM, ISO, most filesystem images and DEB formats. Compression ratio in the new 7z format is 30-50% better than ratio in ZIP format.
I count over a dozen formats.
I always thought the name 7-Zip was just derived from .7z.

Just curious, why isn't Hebereke (the Japanese ROM) used for this TAS instead?

PS: I feel cool beating this game faster than adelikat & Brushy (2 iterations), Genisto, and Exim.
Pride movie, voted no. Just kidding. Having TASed a bit of this game before when I was looking for an NES game to improve I must say I'm not so surprised the improvement is only a few seconds. But an improvements an improvement, so you get a yes vote here.

Is this really necessary? Okay, the guy made a mistake by submitting an unoptimized TAS. That's no cause to just dump on him.
Agreed. This kind of situation arises from confusion, not from malice, and it's simplest to just correct the misunderstanding with correct information.
Are you kidding? I voted yes.

Well it did. Was pretty archaic. To submit a run, you had to mail it. And the motto was "TASVideos: Afros are cool."

I rewatched the current run and this, and there's really nothing different enough from the pacifist run to justify having two imo. The only difference is the pacifist run has more jumping around, without any real strategy changes.

What does that rule say about superjudges who not just accept but publish themselves?
That's irrelevant. What if John Smith shows up with a WIP that's twelve seconds faster? Would you still accept the run?

I thought it was a rule not to put stuff on archive before the run's "publication underway."

Why didn't you ask the same question about last Metroid Fusion 100%? It had all Archive uploads even before being submitted!
Because I don't really care about Metroid Fusion so I never cared to find out.
