Looks good and very well done, but as much as I love Skyroads, this looks quite similar to the basic Skyroads version are we sure we need both of them on the site? Unless this version is considered like a hack (although an official one) and be published in the "other" category... Fortunately I am not a judge nor a publisher so this issue isn't up to me. I vote yes for the run itself because I liked watching it; I am sure its fate will be decided by people more expert than me.

This just keeps getting better and better! I watched all the WIPs and yet there was still something new in the submission, it never gets old. I love Super Mario 64, I love you guys for making this. As someone says in his sig, the 0-stars run deserves a star. And the "Spiral Stairs and Endless Stairs" section made me speechless. I rarely use big fonts and capitals, but this deserves a YES.

Regardless of all of the discussion of hexing, is someone making a collection of TAS WRs for each star?
Records used to be listed here, but that list is extremely outdated by now. It was meant to be replaced by this, but there are lots of gaps in it.

FuzZerd also TAS'ed it until its breaking point.
That is great, I didn't know about that video. Thanks for sharing.

What about S3K: the challenges ? http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_3_%26_Knuckles:_The_Challenges
It has a lot of potential, and getting all the S ranks in the fastest possible time would definitely be interesting. Unfortunately there are at least 4 missions which would slow down the run quite a lot, the two Sidekick missions and the two Bodyguard missions, which run on a fixed time. But sure this is one of the interesting candidates, not unlike the other hacks by ColinC10, such as Robotnik's Revenge (which has been TASed to an extent by at least a couple of members of Sonic Retro) and Sonic 1 and 2, of which I'd like to see a 100% run with all the 13 chaos emeralds, which would differentiate it from the existing Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 TASes (other than the Spin Dash in Sonic 1, of course). Lastly, amongst the "no rings" hack challenges, I'd recommend OMG THE RED RINGS, which really provides an extremely hard challenge, and it can't be completed unassisted, as far as I know. It would be interesting to find out if the TAS tools can make it feasible. Ironically the Final Zone is the easiest level in this hack!

This is just getting better and better! Why aren't there other people to comment how awesome these videos are? Super Mario 64 needs more love!

I just watched that WIP... I like it a lot! In fact when it ended after the SS Anne I wanted to see more. Please continue this. Also, am I the only one who watches long pokémon movies at 300% speed (at least)?

I kinda like this. It's nice to see something different every once in a while.

A little bit redundant since Undie encoded this as well, but here is an unofficial youtube just in case: And yes vote.

It is good, but your screenshot isn't optimised once again. Yours: 4185 bytes. This one: 4118 bytes.

I don't know what I just watched. I saw balls going around everywhere. But for some reasons I liked it. Yes vote.

At this rate, you are right, there won't be a optimal/near optimal run for a very, VERY long time.
I can wait, especially because this is going to be way better than awesome. You guys are doing a very good job on every star.

Looks great as always, marzojr. If there is anything you'd like to see in Youtube form, just let me know, and I'll gladly encode a zone or two.

Thanks for the kind and quick reply. Yeah it does sound redundant to have two different 120-stars runs, but it's all good. We can never know if someone is going to come up with a new route, and playing the stars over and over again might help.

I like this! So, even if stars aren't going to be hexed in for the 120-stars run, are you going to take inspiration from those routes? Are the Japanese people willing to share m64 files with you? Sorry if the question seems dumb, but every little bit counts. Even if the 120-stars run is going to have 50 people in the Authors field.

edit: thanks for fixing the link. I agree that you should include that glitched transition. One real time / ingame time tradeoff won't hurt, and yes it's more entertaining. I will make a video of your new Launch Base Zone soon. Watch this space.

Oh my God I loved this! I am glad to give you preliminary feedback, this is great. Sure there were some weak transitional moments, but the multiball sections, especially the one with 3 balls, were great. Epic Pinball has always been one of my favourite games of all time, and I was so disappointed when I found out that the score was reseted to zero when I reached 4 billions (32 bit). Yes vote in advance.

As for the encode, since this is a long movie which would take quite a lot of time to be encoded, I prefer to wait for a green light from an admin before I start. (and yes, I meant SD, I don't do HD, since I don't like HD)

Due to Mister Epic's forfait I was invited by Flygon himself to encode this, using his crf=0 parameters. http://www.archive.org/details/earthboundzeroj-glitched-tasv2-pirohiko The filename is consistent with the previous one. Enjoy.
