I'd pay for a good Super Mario 64 run.

My N64 Wishlist is Mario 64, 0 stars, 120 stars, ... even 70 stars, CCC, glitchless, any category is fine. There's always room for more Mario 64. That game never gets old. On the other hand I hate Zelda. So I hope that the Ocarina TAS is get done as soon as possible. Why, if I hate Zelda? Because then the N64 TASers can concentrate on the good games such as Mario 64 and leave Zelda alone. I also like Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero X.

Unless it is done to manipulate the RNG, I think it has no purpose. You can't press start any sooner than that frame anyway, so the author doesn't feel like waiting standing still, there is nothing wrong with that. Even the guidelines say to do something unexpected when you can't do anything else, if I remember correctly. If that bothers you so much, feel free to vote no, because a sound that lasts for 0.5 seconds annoys you enough to hate a run which is awesome for like 30 minutes. This is sarcasm.

That is one of the best things I've ever saw. With your permission, can I encode it on Youtube? I keep it unlisted so only people from here can see it.

You're somehow right, I looked on the wikipedia and it says 59.7: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy#Technical_specifications It surprises me, I thought Game Boy and Game Gear used 60 real frames per seconds instead of weird values like the big consoles. However 59.7 still makes it wrong, as 78211 / 59.7 = 1310.07[...] = 21:50:07 This is a mistery! Post it in the VBA forum, there might be an error.

Yes: Which happens at: 21:43:52 is accurate, because it's 78211 / 60 = 1303.51(6) = 21:43:51.(6) Probably something it's not at 60 frames per second. EDIT: I just remember, the video contains a logo. It adds two seconds to the total. And still doesn't explain the difference.

That's a 403 forbidden for me :( On another topic: do you think there is chance to see a 100% glitchless run sometimes in the future? With the hidden levels, no pipe glitch, no bell glitch.

Glad to see that you managed to fix the issue. I can start dreaming of the 0-stars run again. You all are great.

I tried to TAS this, even before I saw this topic. I arrived to 4-2 but I couldn't replicate The Vine Glitch (the pipe brought me to the regular place). But that's because I am not good at TASing. I hope someone else can do it!

I divided this video in 3 parts on Youtube: 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ZfaGreZ_4 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWZ-2x3Lx6U 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coc496YIGRU The YES vote here is big. I love this work. edit: these videos DO NOT cover the variation suggested by MUGG below.

First of all, I LOVE Bubble Ghost, it's one of my favorite games of all the times, and I even wanted to make a TAS of it some time ago. Unfortunately I suck and I never finished it, so I am happy to see you did this. It should be noted that I have a different Bubble Ghost ROM (according to VBA, yours has a crc of 199 and a check of 30653, and mine has a crc of 221 and a check of 28257) however it synced perfectly so if someone else has the wrong ROM, they shouldn't worry. Now to the actual vote. I would have given this a very solid Yes vote, it was being wonderful, up until I saw you taken the shortcut in level 14, and the other one later ( This is the kind of game which DESERVES a 100% run, therefore I vote meh because while I'd love to see this published, I beg you to consider to make a 100% completion without shortcuts.

This is why I am against bans. They never bring anything good. There are much better ways to be upset with someone. Sorry if I side with Brian, but things like this look like mod/admin power abuse to me. Banning someone from a whole community because he did something bad to "someone with power"? What if he broke a promise to someone without power? Or, what if someone with power broke a promise to him? Also, give second chances, people. Some people can forgive killers and rapers, just saying. The world would be a much better place if we all loved eachother.

I vote yes, but I agree it would have been more fun if he collected the emeralds. We still lack a 100% of Sonic 2. This chance could kill two bird with one stone. Also, ZeXr0, I am working on Youtube. But it will be ready in several hours. Edit: see post below. No more Tube.

If this game is going to be TASed, not much time then. Then again, I've played this game to level 73 IIRC. This might be a game without a real ending, such as Qix or Pac-Man (if it didn't have that goddamn kill-level.)
I can't be sure about the Game Boy version, but, the arcade version has 99 or 100 levels (I don't remember). I think the Game Boy version has 99 or 100 levels as well.

Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this improvement. That level with the ship and the cannon balls was unexpected at its best.

This is great. I wonder how other many pieces of awesome TAS we don't find because they are Japanese. By the way I agree the 120 stars TAS should be a compilation of the fast m64 files on m64.org, with copy and paste you can save a lot of time. You will have a very long authors list but it's ok. As long as you sum the rerecords from each piece and write it manually.

According to Fractal Fusion, this is easily reproduced in real-time, unlike say, monopoly or King's Bounty. Given that information, it may be exploiting a timing glitch, but, it doesn't seem like TAS material if it can be reproduced in real-time with minimal effort.
You can somehow reproduce King's Bounty in real life if you play hide-and-seek with a quadriplegic. Besides, even if you can reproduce this in real life, this TAS completion is still faster than every human player is likely to play. I have to disagree.
