I think all this big deal about High Definition is pointless. If resolution is 256x224, you encode at 256x224. 512x448 is the same with bigger pixels, and it's not a good idea. That said I like that old movies get links. I will create some WMV later.

For what it's worth, I watched this all without fast forward, and I like it. Bisqwit is always great.

I liked this very much. I approve it should be on the site. And I confirm 4-3 is best.

Good evening. I wanted to make a joke TAS, of Sonic's Edusoft, for April 1st, but in the end it turns out that it would require too much time to be finished, so I need to give up, I don't want to waste too much time for a joke TAS. See the beginning <a href="http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1595450705/Edusoft_HAX2.mmv">here</a> The controls are bad. Buttons have to be kept pressed for 3 or 4 frames to work. This annoyed me and after one hour I decided to stop. If buttons worked better I finish this, but they don't. Beware the ROM for Sonic's Edusoft can easily be find on Google, but you need the GerbilSoft version, he changed two bytes at the header, because the regular ROM doesn't work in almost all emulators, because it doesn't vblank. So if you go to Google and you search for Sonic Edusoft GerbilSoft you find it. Happy April 1st, sorry I didn't finish this surprise (

I vote no because of the reasons above. Otherwise I suggest to use the Japanese ROM also for the 120 stars Super Mario 64. What's fair, it's fair.

How about Fraps to capture?
For one, because there is nothing worse than Fraps when it comes to screen recording in general. If you said Camtasia Studio maybe I would be listening to you. Maybe. Also it is explained in the FAQ: http://tasvideos.org/EncoderGuidelines.html#CapturingEncodingAMultimediaFile

I am so sorry about that and from now I will not use any more commas. By the way I have something important to report although not relevant to the current discussion. In the encode for "1197M" movie there is something wrong at 1026 in the bottom right side that looks like a rain cloud as you can see here <img src="C\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Michael\Desktop\snapshot20100225152153.bmp">

I disagree "Mitjitsu". If, the JAPAN rom really is faster, then, it is a good idea, to change rom. The 2 seconds of Peach, are not in the same "level of magnitude" of the improvements, of this run. I agree, it is a bad idea to use the JAPAN rom, for the 0-stars run, because 2 seconds are comparable, in the framewar. But, I think, there will be minutes and minutes of faster improvements, than the existing version, for 120-stars. So it's, a drip in the sea, and the star without yellow box, and the ghosts, and so on, it is a good idea, to change. Keep up, the good work. sonicpacker, I see your video, on Youtube. You are good =]

Please start over, and use the "FM Chip" option. It provides much beautiful music. Also please use dega-1.16pre1-win32-z80jb because doze core is not accurate (and it makes it harder to replay the movie on newer dega, your movie desync for me in both 1.16 mame and 1.16 doze). Yes the glitch is still in mame core.

Thanks, for your feedback. I will use password "PUTT", to unlock Master Levels.

I forgot, use dega-1.16pre1-win32-z80jb because Putt & Putter has problems with old core.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/378709062/Putt%20and%20Putter%20%28JUE%29.mmv Is this worth pursuing? Only some levels are there. I might finish later. I play "beginner" and not hidden "master" category because it requires password "PUTT" and password is not ok in guidelines (or I can ask for exception? Master levels are interesting)

It isn't possible to improve this route?
That strategy require green cap. I think the route have the Jolly Roger Bay near the start so this can't be allowable. I like all the Work In Progress see in this thread, keep up the good work!
