You are not supposed to like them. That is a list of bad things. Good things are listed as "PRO". I was trying to find out if there are more good things or more bad things. On yet another hand, all rings + all emeralds (+ all monitors? + all badniks?) = "100%" run. We would have the branch name too. Maybe I'm just dreaming too much.

Wait a second, this is a suggestion which should be evaluated carefully. PRO On one hand, collecting all the emeralds in a run where you collect all the rings might make sense. Why? Well, in a normal run you can hardly use Super Sonic because the optimal paths don't involve collecting 50 rings, but in this run you probably collect more than 50 rings in all the levels anyway, and Super Sonic's speed can provide an advantage if used at the right time in the right place. CON The ring count is reseted when you enter a lamp post, meaning that you have to waste a lot of time if you want to get all the emeralds by the end of Emerald Hill. Which, in turn, means that Emerald Hill would be extremely boring after a while. -How to dodge this use Knuckles in Sonic 2. --CON Tails isn't playable in Knuckles in Sonic 2. ---How to dodge this use a hack which allows for Knuckles + Tails ----CON it would be arbitrary SUBJECTIVE Someone might like the special stages, someone else might find them boring, especially since there are 7 of them. Maybe something funny can be achieved in 2P mode. But this excludes Knuckles in Sonic 2 again. PRO From Emerald Hill Zone onwards, however, the entertainment would be higher and unique, as it would feature Super Sonic AND the hunt for rings. Anyone else has other opinions?

I admit that my post was more like a direct reply to Slowking, yes. I assumed this was a thread about branches names in general so I didn't read all of it, sorry. Your idea makes sense too, and it wouldn't be any more arbitrary than the current situation (which is already arbitrary). It might be a good idea.

I can see how the "glitched" adjective can be a bit redundant since most (if not all) the movies on this website are glitched at least to some extent, but we should always think about the occasional viewer who doesn't know very much about TASes and stumbles upon one of those movies by chance. It's hard enough to avoid being called cheaters, we might as well warn them in advance that some major glitchfesting is going to happen. On the other hand, "manipulates luck" is a category, and not a branch name. I'm not sure what to think here. In the lack of a better option, the existing system probably isn't that bad.

It probably means that we can already tell Alden that there's a new movie to be added to the Gruefood Delight. In the mean time, yes vote.

I believe we should respect the authors' choice of the ending point. Especially because this run doesn't aim for fastest time, but for entertainment, so even a few minutes in the reported length don't make a difference. A new Mortal Kombat movie won't obsolete this one by comparing the time, but by comparing the entertainment, it can be 10 minutes longer or 10 minutes shorter.

This is amazing, I found myself actually laughing throughout almost all the movie.

DarkKobold: This movie needs to get handled. Unfortunately, it is far too similar to another movie, [1300] Arcade Street Fighter Zero 2 (JPN) by error1 in 03:19.0, on the site. It uses the same characters to the same effect. Thus, my options at the moment are either 1) Accept, and obsolete the other movie, or 2) Reject. Opinions welcomed.
I'm quoting this in case other people didn't pay attention to the update of the first post, and I'll voice my opinion: the other movie is much better than this one, so I (ideally) upgrade my meh vote to a no vote. At most, the other movie can contain the usual link "you can see the same characters doing the same thing in SFA3".

Wario land should be ended with a best ending
I definitely agree with this. I've been following all the old WIPs by Greenalink years ago, I was so sad when he switched to a glitched any%. Wario Land deserves a 100% run published alongside, it would be very different enough, in my opinion.

Another Sonic game where you can get a best ending is the 8-bit version of Sonic 2, where collecting the emeralds unlock the hidden Crystal Egg Zone. The two endings are basically the same, but in the good one there is Tails running alongside Sonic, and in the bad one there is Sonic alone, which led many fans to speculate that Tails is dead. I wonder, if the 151-pokémon run is considered as a best ending, since the ending is the same as always, but the Oak message changes.

True, but a man can hope. Maybe they save one second, but the RNG changes, and they save another unexpected second, the RNG changes again, and... who knows, it would be a neat Christmas present D

Sure, why not. Not an official encode, and as such, it's not optimised. I hope you have a fast connection. I have to agree, though. This isn't too interesting, it gets repetitive soon. I'm not judging if this is optimised enough or not, but it definitely looks like a bad game choice to me. Not voting since it's gruefood'd already, but I would have voted no.

Many other people, including me, would like to see an emerald run, but when there was one, here, it was rejected, and with reasonable motivations, too. So unless an emerald run is more than very excellent I doubt it will be approved here (even though I'd probably vote yes on it).

Replace the Youtube video while that you're doing it, please. As pointed out by kode54 as well, it uses the very bad PSG sound. Can that option be removed at all from the newest Gens Movie releases, too?

That's true as well (even though I seem to remember that admins and the senior judge don't need to wait 72 hours, but I might be wrong), besides I've never seen a movie accepted any faster than that anyway. That said, gotta love all those improvements. I'm still dreaming of sub-5 minutes.

In other words, using emulation tricks to achieve the highest score possible instead of the lowest time possible.
This is a great idea! Someone should try that with Tetris. By the way I know of at least three games that will overflow if you score too many points. One of them even has a TAS on this website, Epic Pinball Android, if you score more than 232-1 points (4294967295) it will roll back to 0.

Tails can't collect rings when he respawns. And you can't get him to fly by normal means in Sonic 2. THAT might be an idea for a hack keep the rings where they are, but give Tails flying abilities so he can collect rings while objects aren't drew because they're off-camera.

There is no real "high score" in Sonic games, especially from 2 onwards get as many points as you can -> 50000 points = 1-up -> die -> get as many points as you can -> 50000 points = 1-up -> die -> ... How about "high score, no deaths"? Sure get as many points as you can -> enter a special stage -> fail the third ring requirement by one ring -> get as many points as you can -> enter a special stage -> fail the third ring requirement by one ring -> ... (at least this is finite rather than infinite, though) To get it to work it should be a very arbitrary goal such as "high score, no deaths, no special stages". I therefore think "high score" would be a bad idea.
