Links Awakening with or without the screen jump glitch. Because with it you can beat it in 5 or 6 minutes.

Donkey Kong. That was always my favorite. And it has loads of potential.

Not a goon, too damn cheap. I went to join the day after they decided to charge monies. So I said a general F-you and went on my way. Besides, I'd never be able to keep up with a community as large as SA.

And then you have something completely silly like the Joust 2 completion.

I'd ride a bicycle myself. If I didn't have to drive close to 100 miles a day in a typical day.

I suppose I might see someone actually use the Skip sandwitch then. It might be interesting to see where you can warp at as well. I take that back. This game, despite it being made slow on purpose, might be fun to watch. Though I doubt very much that it will fit under the file limit. ... Let me grap the source and see if I can't compile a version without a frame limit. Waiting for the new version for such a small upgrade is silly. Plus it might give me an incentive to start working on SM:RPG (yeah, right... ^_^) and the ToP run might get worked on again. Not to mention FFIII not being in 5 different parts. And maybe even a Star Ocean run.

That 3 minute wait in front of the door will be at best vexing. The game doesn't seem *very* speedrunable. Though if you can manipulate the worm you can power level there if need be.

Chess's tree is O(c^n) Go's tree is O(n!) Chess's tree is also easier to prune compaired to Go's. From a purely computational standpoint. I don't like the notion that computer's are somehow inferior to humans because they can't play with strategy. This is patently false. It is simply that no one has had the good idea to pit a computer against another computer, have them play "suboptimal" moves at random, and anaylze the win-loss patterns over several thousand games to learn their own strategies. This is obviously a non-trivial task programming-wise and computationally. However, it is also scalable. Meaning you could also put it to work on Go.

I was under the (false?) impression that the stars were to set off the "best of the best" that makes the site shine. I don't think making liberal use of stars is the best policy.

Actually, climbing with C took me about an hour to figure out. Then again, I didn't read the manual. X-P

Did you try a wall jump?
I don't know if that's possible. The spin jump flight (and the regular flight?) both jump up in very discrete amounts, I don't know if you could hit a 16 pixel point with one of them. I'll try to find one and mark the rest on the map though.

Here's a map of VS1, pixel perfect, if that'll help with planning. I couldn't get it to work either though.

Well, that means that 46: Woods of Despair II 47: The Valley of Life 48: Elsewhere 49: The Valley of Life 50: The Black Pit 51: Lion's Den can become 46: Woods of Despair II 47: Forced Entry 48: Elsewhere 49: Cliffs of Illusion 50: Lion's Den and still feature the same number of different levels.

Alright then, one thing I'm not sure about. The reason I have some of these in parentheses...with the levels that have an Elsewhere that takes you back to the same level, can you just keep playing these two levels infinitely? And if so, should these Elsewheres be played at all?
/me points up at his list. I made that one to point at the path featuring the most levels without using the same exit more than once.
